Chapter Two: What is this..?

Your friend couldn’t believe the reaction Kai had over you and she was excited. Kyungsoo her boyfriend had actually set this up for her to bring you along, or one of her friends but you seemed perfect and it was perfect to get you out of your shell. “He was so attractive…” you whined slightly laying on your bed staring at your friend in wonder to how someone like that could exist in the real world. You felt dizzy thinking about him and the smile hadn’t left your lips since you met him and that was two days ago. “I want to see him again…” you muttered shyly hiding your face as it started to feel hot once again.

“Why don’t you?” Your friend asked curiously but of course you couldn’t as you didn’t know how to get in contact with him “I could arrange the date for you?” she mentioned and your head perked up, how did she know this man and still not tell you. You wanted to know just how there was contact with such a beautiful man, but she definitely wanted to know how long the contact had been in place. “I could organise it right now if you wanted me to,” she teased making you flush once more in embarrassment.

“Okay… I won’t say no… that is if he wants to see me,” you said “If he doesn’t I will just have a date with TaeMin,” your friend rolled her eyes at your comment as she wanted you to realise there wasn’t much chance with that man from Shinee but there was plenty of potential with Kai. “Do you think he is interested in me?” This of course was a stupid question considering your friend knew how he was all over you in the sense that he couldn’t keep his eyes off you and he had never been like that around anyone else.

“Dumb Question _______,” Your friend replied shaking her head “He is completely into you, trust me he couldn’t keep his eyes off of you,” you shrugged at her comment not sure whether to believe her or not as you too were distracted staring at him. “I have to say he has never been so forward with a girl, generally he doesn’t notice the women around him,” this was truth as Kai really hadn’t shown interest in other women and this certainly made you excited for the future prospects that maybe he could be your boyfriend. The thoughts were early but you really couldn’t help yourself to think so excitedly, your inner fan girl had paired you up with him so many times that it wasn’t funny. “I shall give him a ring and then go from there,” she said casually patting you on the shoulder pulling her phone out to ring her boyfriend to organise this date.

-Finding You in My Arms-

You stood in front of a restaurant in a dress, something that you hardly wore as pants and a long shirt was your preference, you were nervous and butterflies filled your stomach. You couldn’t believe that you were finally going on this date, you had doubts at first that he may not attend. You would be rather upset if he didn’t attend as that would make you question if all the things your friend said was true. Kai was one of those types you thought were really attractive but you weren’t sure if you could trust him. He made you feel things for a person you hadn’t felt since you saw TaeMin for the first time so of course that made you very nervous. You had arrived about twenty minutes early as you wanted to know what the restaurant served and if you would like the type of food that it would have in there, and if not you would have time to look through the food and pick something you would think semi okay.

Twenty minutes had passed and Kai hadn’t shown up yet, you frowned as you didn’t really like people who were late, it was a little pet peeve of yours. You started to doubt he was coming and slowly you looked up to the sky, it was a rather cold night and now you wished that you had brought a coat with you. You rubbed your arms with your hands and regretted even wearing something like this considering you had no other clothes that suited it, and your feet hurt from the heels you were borrowing from your friend. Another thirty minutes had passed and you were sitting out the front cold to the bone and completely disappointed, why you waited you never knew, maybe he had something important that he had to do that held him up? Or maybe he even forgot. You tried to think positives but there really wasn’t any that were coming up. You were cold and over waiting, you grabbed out your phone and texted your friend ‘He didn’t show,’ and then placed your phone back into your purse getting ready to leave.

“_______” someone had said to you completely puffed, you looked up only to see a slightly beaten up Kai your heart falling slightly to ever doubt him, he looked like he had a black eye and slowly you walked over to him a flutter of worry in your heart “I’m sorry I am late…” he said you knew he was hurt and slowly you panicked slightly when he fell forward slightly. You lunged to catch him, he was very warm to touch in comparison to your cold skin and still he smelt like dogs which to you was somewhat comforting considering the situation.

“Oh my gosh, are you okay?” you managed to say not caring about the fact that he was late considering his condition, the question was stupid and slowly you started walking him to your car “Come on, I will take you to the hospital…” you whispered directing him to your car, this was something that you really wished was a horrible nightmare but by the feeling in your gut you knew this was way too real to be dreamt up.

“No, not a hospital, I just need to rest,” he said instantly knowing because he was a wolf that it would be too weird to be in a hospital considering his injuries would heal a lot faster than the average human would. “Can I come to yours?” he asked, it was a push of boundaries, but he really didn’t have much choice, it was also a test of your trust to see just how much you were willing to accept him. You carefully put him in your car in the passanger seat instantly missing the warmth of his body, you buckled him in and then leaned out to walk around to the driver’s side.

“Alright, but if I feel you are getting worse it is straight to the hospital,” you had answered once you had gotten into the car “I just need to text my friend,” you said grabbing your phone once again considering you had sent a rather depressive message you had a reply that expressed confusion and then you shook your head only to reply ‘Nevermind, he turned up he was late there are some complications I will let you know soon,’ you texted to your best friend only hoping that she wouldn’t come and inspect things later. “Off we go, stay awake…” You said worried knowing that he may be really injured but if he didn’t want to be taken to a hospital she respected his wishes.


                                                                                                  -Finding You in My Arms-

You had eventually taken Kai to your house, he was tired if anything and slowly you helped him up the three flights of stairs only to help him sit on your couch. “I want to check your injuries…” you said bravely trying not to blush in such a situation and slowly Kai looked to you and started to sit up with a noise of discomfort only to move and lift his shirt up to reveal a cut that was reasonably deep and a lot of bruises along his body. “Who did this to you?” you asked quietly as you grabbed your first aid kit, you had done first aide before and so you were happy that you could at least help him.

“Just some friends,” Kai answered he was obviously joking right? You couldn’t understand why friends were this violent you had never had a friend that wanted to hurt you but maybe boys were different. “Nah, I am kidding they are a part of a gang that the people I hang out with are rivals with,” he explained the best he could without revealing his secret entirely because he didn’t want to just blurt out and say that he was a wolf and that they were a rivalling gang that was trying to take over their territory now could he. Your eyes widened in curiosity and slowly your hands moved to touch his tan skin to wrap the bad injuries and make sure there wouldn’t be any infection. He didn’t make many noises but he did stare as you did the things you had to do with gentle fingers. He looked around your room only to notice photos of another man and photos of a band. He mentally clicked that this must have been Shinee “So… is he your man?” he asked pointing out that you had many pictures of one particular man and that was of course TaeMin.

“What? No!” you couldn’t help but laugh at Kai’s question “Jongin, he doesn’t know I exist,” you explained “He is an idol in a kpop group,” you were talking casually and comfortably the first time since you had met one another “I personally don’t think he would be someone I fancy if I met him in real life… I like mystery, people who I can’t figure out,” you explained getting a little personal only then realising who you were talking to you started to blush you needed to realise that he wasn’t your best friend who you talked to everything to. She was different to Kai but you really couldn’t help but be a little open to him as you certainly liked him that was for sure.

“A little mystery? I think I could give that,” Kai daringly said to see how you would react and you blushed, he had expected the reaction and slowly there was a knock on the door interrupting them of their moment. Kai frowned and then you looked to the door only to hear multiple knocking again more urgently. You sighed and gave quiet communication for him to stay there as you went towards the door, your heart was pounding what if it was people from that gang and they followed him to your house. You were nervous and slowly you walked quietly towards the door peaking in the hole to see who it was, you didn’t want your door hit off its hinges and then you saw your friend who was completely worried looking and eventually you opened the door to see her.

“Why haven’t you been answering your calls!” she yelled at you, the lights were dimmed and you looked at her not sure why she was like this as she knew you hardly answered your phone when you were at home. “I have been worried sick! What do you mean a complication…” she was asking you a million questions and slowly your head sunk and then you dragged her towards your bedroom not knowing that Kai could hear her anyway because of his increased hearing.

“Look…” you said in a hushed tone “Jongin I thought wasn’t going to arrive and when I sent the text he was there and he was hurt…” you frowned not sure why you were so angry at the people who did it “He said he got attacked by a gang or something… A GANG” you were whispering and then you sighed “He didn’t want to go to the hospital so he’s here…” you explained your friend raising an eyebrow in curiosity considering the only form of a man that had been in your house had been that of your brother when he helped you move in. “This is a secret I don’t want you telling everyone you know especially that boyfriend of yours…” you had said and then lead her towards Kai there was a lot going on and most of it you didn’t understand. Just what was this feeling you were feeling, you wanted to understand and help but what you didn’t know was this was just the tip of the ice burg and everything was going to come down very quickly.

“Kai’s here?” she said and then walked towards your lounge room only to see him there his eyes were closed, she knew too well that he was faking to be asleep. Your friend was also a wolf and she had been turned when she had agreed to be Kyungsoo’s partner. There was a lot of things that were in need of being said but she wasn’t going to explain it to you, it was up to Kai to tell you these things as she knew that Kai was a wolf and that he could hear everything that you had said. This was something you were going to learn, you were so over your head and she just hoped you wouldn’t sink when it meant to make a choice and once he had decided to tell you. This was going to be interesting once this relationship developed as it wasn’t an if it was going to be a when.

Author’s not: OMG I haven’t actually updated this in like 2 years? I don’t know why I was suddenly inspired maybe because I reread over everything and came to realise I love this story! Sorry to all those who wanted this story sooner… I deeply apologise and hope it doesn’t take me so long to actually update this story considering it is actually one of my favourites that I have written ;) Hope you enjoy it and tell me what you think yeah?

BTW this hasn’t been edited I have just sort of typed it while in a daze as I had so much flowing all at once! I wanted to post it as soon as possible and so I really do hope you like it :)
