[Sneak Preview / Story Background]

“Sakurai Sho!”

“Mum!!!!!!!!! I told you! I do not want to marry a useless, boring, vain, a good-for-nothing vase, a bimbo or any hypocritical daughter-in-law back home for you! There is no point in marrying such a woman!” Sakurai Sho angrily retorted. It was not the first time that his mother had tried to arrange some meeting between him and some rich heiress. There would never be a last, unless he was already married to some heiress. He just could not stand his mother.

“Sho! You are going to graduate this year! Then you are going to help out in the company! You have to get prepared for marriage! A heiress will be suitable for you! I don’t want to end up like some evil mother disrupting any fairytale-like relationship between you and a commoner! I don’t want to end up like those pathetic mothers!” Sho’s mother exclaimed exaggeratedly.

“Mum! Seriously!? Alright, I will marry a heiress on the conditions that you let me choose my own heiress bride and that you help me with my little tests on these heiresses!”

Sho’s words finally silenced her mother’s piercing wailings.

“Deal!”

“Seriously, how does Dad stand you?” Sho mumbled under his breath.

“What did you say!?” His mother rushed forward to pinch his ears.

“ITAI! (painful; ouch)” Sakurai Sho yelped.

“He loves me. And you should love and respect your dearest mother too!” Sho’s mother continued nagging.

Sho’s father who had been sitting quietly at another side gave his son an empathetic glance. In his mind, he was thinking about how glad it was not him who suffered the torture of love from his wife.

“Good thing you are born, son. Your mum’s ways of expressing her love and concern are unique…”
He smiled secretly at his own thought.

There was no doubt that there was much love and fun between the Sho family members.
