Pairing: KaiLu / LuKai
Genre: AU, Romance, Drama
Rating: not rated
Summary: Luhan keeps waiting for a mysterious stranger to come back.
Author's Notes: I think this is my first 'longer' oneshot. By longer, I mean more than 5,000 words. I usually just keep it really short, like 1-2k words. I liked the idea to this story at first, but now that I'm finished, I'm not sure what to think about it. Isn't it too slow paced at certain parts? Not to mention my weird English. I apologize for that.
Btw, I'm bad at categorizing and rating, so I'm not sure if I can say this is really drama and not rated. Anyone who's good at evaluating, please comment! I'd love to hear other comments as well, e.g. what you liked about this story, but especially also the flaws and weaknesses you found!! Every opinion is welcomed! ♡
Also, this story is inspired by the tumblr post as linked above, even if it's more the quote than the edit that inspired me, but if it wasn't for the Kai to my Lu, I wouldn't be writing this. Andie bby, please remember: it's LuKai and not the other way round! xP
Foreword
"Don't."
"What?"
"Don't do that."
He shot his best friend a questioning glance, although he already knew what Sehun meant. Admitting that was like confessing he had a problem though. He didn’t and he refused to think about the cause for his little anxiety in that way.
"Waiting. You should just forget him, you know?"
He was used to hear Sehun telling him to stop waiting. He was used to hear Sehun complaining he was too patient and that people were not supposed to wait for everything until the end. What he wasn't used to though, was the harshness in his voice and the blunt demand. It was new to him, but by now, Sehun didn’t even bother to cover his message in nice words. Luhan wasn't the only one who was left waiting. Sehun was waiting with him, and Luhan appreciated it, although he’d never tell him. There was no need to, since they knew each other too well already.
"Thanks for worrying about me. You don't have to." He smiled and Sehun just sighed.
"Not for that, hyung, not for that."
He looked outside again, watching passersby, and wondered, if he would come back today. He had promised to come back, he just didn't say when exactly, like always.
