Year 1725
Amber eyes opened slowly as the sun was greeting her face. She sat up with her eyes still half opened before Henry slammed the door open.
“Rise and shine, fusspot! I’ve made breakfast for you. Come on, uppity-up!!” Henry opened the curtain allowing more light to penetrate into the room.
“Just one hour, please?” Amber started to dive back into the blanket for extra rest when Henry pulled it.
“You’re still the lazy hippo that I’ve known. Very hard to wake you up. Rise and shine Amber!” Henry dragged
Amber to the shower with unbelievable strength.
“Don’t try to show off, brother. I can shower on my own.” Amber pulled Henry’s hand before threw him onto the ground. Henry groaned.
“Ouch, man! It’s hurt my pride, you know.” Henry dashed out the room-producing a gush of wind.
Amber smiled. “ Now this is home!” Amber entered the shower with heavy step.

After the breakfast, Amber went into a study room filled with old books. She was attracted to pull out a red
book filled with cob web.
“No, Amber! Don’t read!” Henry dashed into the room before snatched the book from Amber’s hand.
“Why? Aha! Your diary isn’t it?” Amber narrowed her eyes.
“No. This is…” Henry scratched his head, not knowing what reason he should create. Amber dashed and
snatched the book from Henry before she read the first sentence that her eyes caught.
“Catriola Extravagente?” She shout out before all the books in the room started to shaking. Henry looked at
Amber giving a what-have-you-done look. All the books then started to fly out the shelves.
They were circling Amber like thousands of brown sparrow. Air was gushing as the books started attacking
Henry. In panicked, Henry eyes turned bloody red. His pupil narrowed and turning gray. Fangs started to shows. Henry has turned into a vicious vampire.
As the books attacked Henry, he lifted his hand toward the book concentrate all his power to his hand. He gave out an invisible waves that sent all the flying books scattered on the floor like a bird with broken wing . Amber was standing still holding the red book not knowing what to do. Then, the scattering book flew again but this
time, they were grouping forming a big bird.
Henry’s eyes popped open as he realized it was no use to fight as they will always forming again and again.
Realizing the truth, he shouted to Amber, “It’s no use! They will attacking again and again! Try to find solution Amber! Don’t just stand there.”
Amber started to examine the red book. “ Solution, solution, yes! Here it is! Girata Expurto!”
Unluckily, it’s not the solution. In fact, Amber make it even worse. The books that was about to attack Henry
had started to become larger. Henry send another invisible wave. The books scattered on the floor but started
to flew again.
“Whoops! Guess that helps you to practice, brother.” Amber started scanning again.
“Solution, solution, Ah-ha! I got it! Tresoon Paxiele!” Amber shouted.
Unluckily, the books was being cloned into 4 gigantic angry bird book which was not good for Henry. He gulped down his saliva.
“I cannot do this much longer! You need to find a way Amber, or I’ll die. We’ll both die!” Henry’s eyes narrowed. He tried to focus all his power to his arm for another blew of wave.
Amber did not listen. She was too busy streaming for solution. Then, she glinted as she saw something useful.
This might help, Amber think as she shout, “Taravia Exturno Mystics Waterfall!” 1 big bird book started to
scatter before they flew out the window toward the waterfall. While the other tree vanished into the thin air.
Henry and Amber looked out the open window to the flying book that will be nowhere to be found. Henry fell
to the ground exhausted. Amber released a sigh of relieved.
“Each of the book have their own ability and power. Now, all the book was gone.” Henry slumped his shoulder
in disappointment.
Amber smile and said, “The spell just made them flew to the waterfall. They’ll be safe and sound.”
Henry stood up before he fell back to the ground. Amber carried Henry on her back to his room.
“You’ve been so strong.”
“I ate more human blood than you do. You don’t drink human blood, right?” Amber laid him nicely on his bed.
“You…ate human blood? You’ve been killing innocent people?” Henry was shocked to think that Amber who once
would never even hurt a fly was killing innocent people.
“I’m a vampire, man. Of course I’ll be eating human blood.” Amber blurted. Henry was quiet. Amber sighed.
“I’m kidding, alright. I just ate the blood of the other vampire. It’s better even though it is not as fresh as
human blood.” Amber rolled her eyes before leaving his brother. Henry smiled before he went to sleep.
As for Amber, she wandered at the reading room. The place as it was being hit by a storm. She went to pick up the red book that she left on the table. The fireplace beside the table attracted Amber to come closer. The
ashes was still new.
“Looks like he was having a new hobby. I don’t know he is a bookworm. Well, when you can live for eternity,
what else can you do besides reading.” Amber rub her nose. The ashes made her sneeze. She accidentally
pushed a goblin statue.
All of a sudden, the floor begin to shake. It formed a stairs that lead it into a tunnel. Amber was fascinated.
She walked down the stairs and along the tunnel where she ended up in a spacious room with more books.
“I thought there will be treasure or somewhat fascinated things rather than tons of book.” Amber sighed before he dashed toward a study table with books arranged layer by layer. Old paper was scattered on the table but the content were somehow concerned Amber.
Amber’s eyes turned ruby. Vampires have the ability to scan surrounding real quick. Her ears was moving as
she sensed someone was walking down the stairs. With quick movement she hid the papers into her clothes.
She turned back as Henry dashed forward. They were facing each other. Henry narrowed his eyes.
“How did you find this place?”
“Hmm… I accidentally pushed the goblin statue by the fireplace and there was tunnel down here.” Amber
grinned.
“Did you find something? I knew you was hiding something from me.” Henry pressured.
“You caught me! This thing. I found it on the table.” Amber showed a sketchbook to Henry. She managed to
prepare something just if Henry saw her doing something suspicious.
Henry flipped open the sketchbook. It was the painting of daisies, vervain, wolfbanes and other magic herbs.
“This might belong to my grandfather. He was a researcher. This might be when he was researching about
creatures like…” Henry stopped.
“Creatures like us. Come on, brother. I’m completely accepting who we are now. Isn’t it amazing and cool to
have powers and all. Moreover, we are invisible. Able to live for eternity. It’s fascinating. Don’t you think?”
Amber elbowed Henry.
“Yeah. Fascinating apart from being chased by vampire hunters, daisies and hunting for blood.” They both
laughed.
That night, Amber took opportunity to examine the stacked of paper she found earlier. They title caught her
attention.
Year 1530, 25th January
Mystics Fall, ia High
The History of first child born of Lau Clan fifth generation.
The birth of the first child born of Lau family really upset the whole Lau Clan.
“We need to get rid of the first child born in this family. It will bring bad luck! You know what will happen to
the baby, right?” Tao Lau, the grandfather of my baby with my wife, Fale Lai.
“I know father. How am I supposed to do? Fale would never want to be depart from her baby. What am I
supposed to do?” I uttered softly. I didn’t want my wife to wake up after just giving birth to our baby half an
hour ago.
“Take the baby by the Mystic Waterfall to be killed. We don’t want to create problem in future.” Tao glimpsed at the baby in the swing before he walked away. I walked toward my child. I really loved the cute and red
dimple baby that make me as a father but I realized that the baby should be kill.
I brought the baby to the waterfall that evening. I didn’t want Fale to regain conscious before I kill the baby.
Rubble and sharps stones made it hard for me to proceed my way to the stream. The sound of water gushing
the rock indicated that the life of the baby is nearer but my love toward this child grew bigger. I started to
doubt my action of killing an innocent baby.
“Oh, my child. Should I kill you just because you were the first child born in the family? You are innocent and
yet your own grandfather wanted you to be dead. Poor child.” I stared at the twinkling and lovely pair of eyes.
“ I shouldn’t do this.” I made up my mind. I walked along the streaming water where I found a white small
cottage. Smoke was coming out from the chimney as a sign that there was people living in the cottage. I smiled.
“You’ll be save child.” I thought as I walked toward the cottage with a big request and hope.
After three knock on the door, I ran away to the nearest tree I could saw, leaving my baby in front of the doorstep. I waited patiently before a little child, which I was not sure whether it is a boy or a girl opened the small wooden door. His/her eyes sparkled as soon as he/she laid his/her eyes on my sweet baby. The child’s parent
came over after that. The father was amazed but he never forgot to wander around the house in search of me.
As if he knew I was there, he shouted “I’ll take care of our child. Don’t worry!”
No one know, how glad I was at that time. But, I know that my father will asked for prove when I got home, so I killed a monkey on the way back home. I showed the monkey heart to him. He smiled as he thought that he had carry out the responsibility as the oldest family to protect Lau family. I was just hoping that my baby will
be alright.

Amber stared right through the letter. He flipped the paper upside down.
“Weird. There should some kind of signature or something. If this is the story of Henry, this man must be his
father.” Amber sighed.
Amber tried recalled. When she was first introduced to Lau family, she was 13 years old. She knew Fale Lau.
Fale lau was a nice lady that treat her like her own daughter. Sulli did have a father. His father was a tough
man but she disliked him. He always shows off his wealth to the people in the village. He was also too young
to become Madam Fale's husband. Their age was 10 years apart. Sulli did told Amber that her biological father passed away when she was a baby. His father went missing when he went for a hunting trip with the men of
Lau Family.
“So, this man must’ve died.” Amber shuddered. She scattered all the papers and one got her eyes. It was about werewolf.
