Hearing his voice pound through the speakers, knowing that I was simply replacing him, I tried hard to block out the tone of his words hiding an echo of his presence, showing clearly the person I had to live up to.
Yet Bi Rain, the hyung I admired so much in the idol world, the reason I had come to South Korea to audition tiredlessly, stood in front of my limp figure, his serious eyes focusing on mine.
"Now, all you have to do," he explained, his gaze hard on mine. "Is be him for one debut. Perfect is all I need. Don't let me down."
It hit me as he turned around, addressing the other, and first choice, members, that I would never trully be a member of MBLAQ. Not unless I worked endlessly for 2 weeks and 24 hours to form myself into Kim SangBae. Forever rehearsing dance moves; forever mastering the lyrics; endlessly proving my worth.
Well, no pressure then.
