Prom? Huang ZiTao... Tao

Hyejin POV

"Oppa!" I yelled down the street. Tao turned around and gave me a smile. I frowned. I stomped right up to him and punched him on the arm

"Ah! Hyejin-ah, what was that for?" Tao pouted. I cannot believe him! I flicked him on the forehead

"Yah! Hyejin!" Tao screamed annoyed. I just stood there pouting. Tao, still not knowing what he did, wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a hug

"Hyejin-ah! Mianhae! Please tell me what I did wrong, Mmm?" Tao did aegyo. I scrunched up my nose and hit him ever so lightly

"You left me" I pouted. Tao looked so confused. I rolled my eyes

"You left to school without me! What happened to staying together?" I lightly scolded him. He seemed to understand now and he smiled, catching me off gaurd. He wrapped one arm around my shoulder

"Gwenchana, we are walking together now right?"

"Tch... I guess..."

"Good! Now let's go to school best friend or else we'll be late" he said. My throat caught a lump... friends, good friends, best friends. Just friends. Nothing more. But I wish there was something more...

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING

"Yess! Finally done with school!" I stretched in my desk. Spreading my arms out in the air and I had me legs out

"Hyejin!" I knew that voice. I could recognize that voice from miles away

"Tao!" I yelled, not knowing what direction he was coming from. I heard something fall down with a big thud! I opened my eyes and I saw a bunch of desks knocked down, along with Tao on the floor. I laughed and helped him up

"Aigoo... you are so clumsy!" I scolded him. Tao fixed his hair and faced me. He suddenly grabbed my shoulders, making me jump in surprise

"Hyejin! You know prom is coming up right?" he asked me. I narrowed my eyes

"Yes..."

"Are you going?"

"I don't know. Maybe, why?" I asked him. My heart started beating faster than usual. Could he be asking me to prom? If he is, I would explode with happiness!! Tao let go of my shoulders and shoved his hands in his pockets, showing a totally different look

"Oh, no reason... C'mon, lets go home!" he wrapped an arm around my shoulders and we walked home together

"Unnie!" I yelled upstairs once I got home

"Wae?!" she yelled back

"I need advice!" I ran upstairs and barged in her room. She was laying in her bed, music booming. I went to her stereo and turned it down. Unnie didn't seem to mind and she moved over on her bed, making room for me. I jumped on her bed and went straight down to business

"Ok, so you know how I like Tao?" I told her

"Yeah"

"Well, I want to go to prom with him" there was silence

"...ok..."

"Ugh, unnie!"

"Ok, ok, well... ask him to prom. Easy"

"No it's not!" I complained "I want Tao to ask me!" I pouted

"Why can't you ask him?" she asked

"Because! It's not right for the GIRL to ask!" I told her. She rolled her eyes

"Well if he doesn't ask you by the time prom comes, then you'll just have to ask him. It's now or never" my heart was already beginning to beat fast, due to nervousness

"Ok, thanks unnie"

"No problem" I got up with shaky legs and went to my own room. I landed face flate on my bed

"Ottohkae?!" I screamed in my pillow

The week passed by like a flash! Tao kept talking about prom, saying how fun it was going to be. On the other hand, I kept giving him hings that I wanted to go to prom... with him! Sigh, but he isn't getting the hint. Maybe he thinks I'm joking around. Throughout the whole day, I was avoiding Tao. I just wanted prom to come by and get it over with. After class, I went straight to me locker

"Hyejin!" I sighed. Why is he making it so difficult for me to avoid him? I looked down the hall and saw Tao's head poke out through the crowd of people. I quickly got my stuff and closed my locker, walking in the other direction

"H-Hyejin!" Tao yelled throught the crowd. It was so hard to resist and go back to him! But I kept walking like I didn't hear anything

I was on the street, walking home. All was peaceful, until someone had to ruin it

"Hyejin!" Tao jumped on my back, then he was infront of me with a big smile. I didn't react but had me pokerface on. I just looked at him, then went around him and continued to walk

"Y-Yah, Hyejin?" Tao asked confused, but i ignored him. I felt a tug on my arm, now I was facing Tao, his arms on my shoulder, looking at me in the eye intensely. I gulped

"Let go" I demanded, avoiding his gaze

"Why are you ignoring me?" he asked

"I'm not ignoring you"

"Don't lie to me Hyejin" Tao's grip on my shoulder tightened

"L-Let go" I stuttered

"Not until you tell me why you've been ignoring me all day" There was silence. Both of us didn't say anything. Tao kept looking at me with his intense stare

"We can stay like this all day if you want" he insisted. I finally had the courage to glare at him

"I WANTED TO GO TO PROM WITH YOU BUT YOU ARE TOO STUPID YOU CANT EVEN SEE THAT!" I yelled at him. Tao let go of me and I took long deep breaths

"What did you say?" he asked completely dazed

"I said, I wanted to go to prom... with you. I like you ZiTao and I want to go to prom with you. I've been giving you hints about it but you never noticed" it was hard for me to say that a second time, especially when I just confessed to him. There was silence and it was killing me! I coughed, breaking the awkward silence that surrounded us

"So, Tao, will you go to prom with me?" I asked him. Just as I thought, my heart was breating at 150 miles per hour. Tao didn't answer me, but silence filled the air again. And that only meant one thing... rejection. I knew this was going to happen. I started to tear up

"Tao, please say something" I choked

"H-Hyejin... look I'm sorry..." Tao started but I cut him off

"I knew it was going to be like this. Pretend like nothing happened" and I dashed off, running as fast as I could to my house. I stopped until I reached my gate, only then did I take a breather. My heart was in so much pain right now, it was almost unbearable. I wiped the remaining tears that were on my face. I sighed to myself

"Looks like I ruined our relationship" I whispered to myself. I twisted my mouth to the side and reached out to open my gate, only to stop by a pair of warm hands. I looked up with teary eyes and I was completely shocked. There standing before me was none other than ZiTao. He was panting and breathing hard, like he just ran a marathon

"Tao..." I could hardly speak

"Hyejin... you never let me talk" he said. I stayed silent, giving Tao time to explain

"I'll start from the beginning. I'm sorry that I stayed quiet for a long time. What I wanted to tell you, no" he said. My broke in pieces again. Why did he have to say that? I already got that answer a while ago

"Ok, I get it! You don't want to go with me! I got the hint before... why did you have to say it again" I whispered that last part but loud enough that Tao could hear it. Tears falling down my cheek again, I opened the gate to my house.

"Wait Hyejin!" Tao stopped me

"What is it Tao. I'm tired" I told him

"You still never let me finish"

"What more is there to..." something warm touched my lips. Then I realized that Tao leaned in a kissed me! My eyes went wide and I stiffened. Tao broke away from the kiss and looked into my eyes. I could tell that my face was as red as a tomato by now

"I don't want to go to prom with you, instead, go to prom with me?" he said. I was slighty confused... just slighty. What does it matter if I go with him or he goes with me? Tao just laughed

"I wanted to ask you to prom first silly" he said. My mouth made an 'o' shape and I felt really stupid. I rubbed my neck shyly but Tao laughed

"So... will you go to prom with me?" he asked. I was still shocked beyond words. I could only nod my head. Tao smiled and pulled me in for a hug

"Yay! Now after prom we can officially begin dating!" Tao cheered. I just looked at him and he was now less cheery

"Or... you know if you want to"

"Of course I want to dummy!" and I pecked him on the cheek

"Good! Prom here we come!"
