Prom? Kim Jongdae... Chen

Soyoung POV

I entered school quietly

I went to my locker quietly

I got my stuff and headed to class quietly

I entered my classroom unknown

And I sat in the back of the class quietly

I did the same thing everyday. It was a daily routine for me. I had no friends, no one to talk to. I admit, I am a wallflower. Going through life unnoticed. But, I'm ok with it. I still got good grades and I was doing well in school, but being a wallflower has its down side... alot of down sides

1. You don't have any friends

2. Nobody notices you

3. Nobody knows your name, not even the teacher

So I am basically a loner. I don't get picked on often, only because people ignore me the whole time

Chen POV

I entered school as usual. Always the one that gets bullied, always the one that gets pushed around. This happened everyday. I know this isn't how you're supposed to live life, getting bullied everyday. I'm supposed to stand up for myself or have my friends stick up for me. That's the problem though... I have no friends, so I have to deal with this alone. I'm pretty sure that my family would help me... you know, if they were still alive. But hey, that's my life. I've gotten used to it over the years.

I entered my classroom and went to find my seat, only to find it occupied. There was a girl sitting in my seat... a girl that I never thought would be there. I walked up to her, my heart racing. I was beside her, but it looks like she didn't notice my presence. She looked like she was in a daze. I tapped her on the shoulder and she jumped back in surprise, making me also jump back at her action

"Wae?" she asked me in a soft voice. I was lost for words. I was stunned by her beauty. I've never been this close to her before. Before it got too awkward, I cleared my throat

"Um, you are sitting in my seat" I told her. She only looked at me confused.

Soyoung POV

"You are in my seat" my classmate told me. A classmate that I had a crush on forever! Just because I'm a wallflower, that doesn't mean I don't have feelings. I've had a crush on him for as long as I can remember... probably back in elementary school. But his statement made me confused. I looked around me and found nothing unusual. I looked back at Chen and he stared at me intensely. I ed uncomfortably and I found out the problem

"Your seat is right there" I pointed to the desk next to me. Yep, my crush is not only in my class but he also sits next to me... isn't that great

Chen POV

I felt so stupid! How could I forget that?! I scratched my head

"Ah, sorry" I apologized. I bowed to her and took my seat next to her. Class started but I wasn't paying attention to the teacher. I was thinking of a way to ask Soyoung to prom. Of course, I can't come up with an idea! I never asked anybody anything and I'm too shy to even talk to her. I almost had a heart attack just talking to her a while ago! Oh gosh... how can I do this? I spent the whole time thinking about how to ask Soyoung to prom, but I just can't think of anything!!!

I was walking in the hallway, still in deep thought

"Can you please leave me alone?" I heard a girl's voice... a voice that is so familiar, that I can recognize it in an instant *Soyoung?!* I quickly ran to where I heard her voice. I crossed the hallway and there I saw Soyoung... with Exo-k, the people that bully me every single frickin day! Why are they with Soyoung. I hid behind the wall and over heard their conversation

"C'mon, you can do our homework for us right?" Kai asked, walking towards Soyoung so that she hit the wall. Then he trapped her inbetween his arms, pinning her against the wall. Soyoung looked for frightened and very uncomfortable. I curled my hands into fists

"I'm sorry, but I also have my homework too... Eepp!" she screamed once Kai punched the wall, right beside her face. That was it! I ran up to them and tore Kai off of Soyoung. She looked relieved and also stunned

"What are you doing here loser?" Kai asked. He looked pissed off. Suddenly, all of Exo-k surrounded me. I gulped. I was nervous on what they were going to do, but I didn't regret my decision. I'd rather get beaten up then let anyone touch Soyoung

Soyoung POV

When I saw Chen pull Kai away from me, I started breathing again. Usually, when I'm uncomfortable, I hold my breath. I was a bit stunned that Chen had the courage to do that. I know what Exo-k do to Chen. I see it everyday, but I can't do anything about it. Even if I did try to help. Exo-k was surrounding Chen and I started to panick *Oh no! What are they going to do?!* Kai threw the first punch, along with a kick to the stomache from Baekhyun. I panicked even more. I rushed up to them and tried to actually help for once. I tugged on Suho's arm

"Yah! Stop!" I yelled at them. Suho was obviously stronger and he just pulled away, making me fall on my . I had no time to think about me. Chen was getting beat up! After minutes of beating him up, they finally got tired and left him. Chen was on the floor, clutching his stomache and blood coming out of his mouth. I quickly ran to him and bent down

"Ottokhae?" I whispered. Chen layed there, groaning in pain. I thought for a moment and got an idea

"What right here, ok?" I told him. He just nodded his head. And I thought he couldn't hear me. I quickly ran to my locker and took out a first aid kit... so what? I have a first aid kit in my locker! It's actually very useful. I can go to my locker instead of going to the nurse's office. I ran back to Chen and he was still in the same position as I left him. I helped him get up and now he was leaning against the wall. I tried to be careful and quickly cleaned his wounds. He flinched here and there, but it wasn't really major. He had a cut on his lip but that was pretty much it

"Thank you" He breathed. I stopped what I was doing

"Why are you thanking me? I should thank you for saving me" I confessed. I couldn't look him in the eye, cause he was just staring at me. I also held my breath. I never usually do anything like this, so it was quite new

"Thank you for saving ME, trying to help me when they were... you know, beating me up" he started laughing but groaned in pain, because of the cut on his lip. Also the bruise on his eye.

Chen POV

I watched her as she was cleaning me up. My heart was racing. I've never been this close to her before. We were alone and I knew that this was the time to ask her. I took a deep breath, but I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be. I leaned in when she wasn't looking and kissed her on the cheek. She flinched back in surprise. Once she realized what I just did, her cheeks flushed red and she put her hand over her cheek, and looked away, completely flustered.

"Hey Soyoung" I said. She didn't look at me but she did respond

"W-What is it?" she stuttered. Again, I took a deep breath

"Will you go to prom with me?" I asked her, my heart beating 100 miles per hour. She slowly looked at me, and we locked eyes. She blushed again, but she didn't look away

"I would like to... IF its ok with you!" she panicked at that last part. I giggled and pulled her into a hug

"Of course it's fine with me" I told her. I felt her arms wrap around my waist, making my smile/blush

"Then of course, I would love to go with you"
