So this story is on the very bottom of my list- meaning it might get updated at a turtle rate. (my other stories do that anyway haha)  (x.x)

Foreword

Donghae was the older of the two children, and it was his job to take care of the little girl who had been brought into their home for the time being. His mother had told him that the girl’s father was a bad man and that she was just staying with them until the good guys could put him away. So Donghae was stuck watching over the six year old baby, while his friends played outside in the sunshine.

“Why do I have to look after her? It’s not fair.” His mother’s eyes snapped him a look of disapproval.

“Donghae, I know most twelve year old boys feel as if they always have something better they could be doing, but could you please be a little more considerate? What if you were in this situation? How would you feel?”  Donghae’s eyes were cast on the floor; he hated seeing the look of disapproval in his mother’s eyes.

“Sorry.” He mumbled. Donghae felt a tug on his shirt. Eun Hee’s solemn eyes were staring up at him. He sent her a hateful glance, blaming her for getting him in trouble. Donghae’s mother turned her attention back to the stove, tending the meal she had been preparing for their supper. Eun Hee’s voice was extremely monotonous and even, for a child, and Donghae hated it. The dull, intensive way in which she whispered grated on his nerves.

“Want to go out and play in the woods?” The large, eyed girl asked. The older boy folded his arms, and rolled his eyes.

“I don’t want to! Go play on your own.” Donghae saw a flash of disappointment in her eyes, but it was gone as quickly as it had come.

“Okay.” She replied. She went to the back door and tugged on her old, squeaky rubber boots. Then she struggled to get her coat off the hanger that had been placed too high for her reach. Donghae watched in amusement at her difficulty. She sighed, sounding more tired than annoyed. She pulled over a bucket, flipping it upside down. Eun Hee stepped up and easily grabbed her coat. When she was ready to venture outside of the house, she turned to Donghae and bowed.

“Bye Oppa.”
