It was a mistake.

It was never supposed to happen.

He was never supposed to find out.

Before long it spread.

He had to do something to fix it.

Spoil all the work he had done up until now

or

Continue doing what he has been doing.

He would obviously choose the latter.

But what if the obvious answer was the wrong answer?

He thought the answer he had chosen was the best.

He thought that after he had taken care of them, everything would go back to normal. 

He was very, very wrong.

Now the choice he had made would come back to haunt him.

He didn't clean up the mess like he thought he did.

He made another mistake.

And this time it would cost him much, much more.

Now mistakes are common for him.

And his greatest fears are coming to life.
