Mandy & Jonathan- Someday We'll Know
-----------
Haewon stirred awake next to the fireplace. She got up from the ground, and Luhan’s jacket fell onto her lap. Seeing something of his possession immediately made her wide alert. She grasped his jacket and placed it next to her cheek.
Haewon closed her eyes and inhaled his scent. *He smells like soap and pine, like always. He really didn’t change one bit.* She smiled.
Haewon opened her eyes and looked around. *Where did he go anyways?* She got up and left the room.
Haewon wrapped her arms around herself and walked down the wide, empty hallway. She stopped when the smell of pancakes wafted in her direction. *Is someone cooking?* Haewon hurried forward and reached the cafeteria. She poked her head inside the large space. “Hello? Luhan oppa?” *You idiot. He can’t hear you.*
Haewon followed the heavenly smell towards the kitchen. She heard bowls clatter and the sound of oil sizzling on the pan. Haewon walked into the kitchen and stopped by the doorframe. She saw the back of Luhan as he tried to make breakfast. She crossed her arms and leaned against the doorway as she watched him.
There was something about the way he moved that made her heart flutter.
Kris was smooth in his gait and actions, but Luhan was graceful in everything he did.
She watched as he flipped the pancakes, poured juice, and prepared the fork and knife. Her lips formed into an admiring smile. *Luhan oppa, you’re perfect.* He placed pancakes on the plate and turned the stove off. Luhan placed everything on the tray and turned around.
He stopped when he saw her standing there, and a bright smile appeared on his face.
Luhan walked up to her, balanced the tray on one arm, and used his free hand to write on her cheek. “Good morning, Haewon.”
Haewon beamed. This was the best morning greeting ever. “Good morning, oppa.”
Luhan pointed to the breakfast, smiled, and took her hand. He led her into the dining hall, and they sat at one of the tables. “I hope you like pancakes.” Luhan wrote on her hand. “I do.” Haewon nodded. *I would eat glass if you made me.*
They ate the breakfast that he had made. How long had it been since they had shared a meal together?
Haewon looked around the enormous cafeteria. She didn’t think it would have been so big. It seemed even bigger with only the two of them. She felt a tap on her hand and focused her attention back on Luhan.
“Do you like the pancakes?” He asked. Smiling, she held a thumb up. He grinned back.
“Everything is so dusty here. Has anyone even cleaned this place since it shut down?” Haewon slightly crinkled up her nose in disgust. Luhan shook his head. *Probably not.*
They met eyes and telepathically connected. Smiling widely, they had the same time. Laughing, Haewon and Luhan grabbed their empty plates and glasses and headed to the kitchen.
It was time to do some major cleaning.
-----
They scrubbed, mopped, and wiped every part of the institution. They weren’t going to leave their home in the dust. They would do everything to revive it and make it seem livable again.
They went into room after room and cleaned every dust in sight so that the rooms were spotless.
Haewon and Luhan went into the library, organized the books, and wiped all the grime off the shelves. Haewon took the book out of the bookshelves and began to wipe the shelf clean. Another rag appeared across from her, and she looked up. Luhan was gazi
