Sooyoung thought of every reason she could to figure out why Changmin suddenly shows up again after going awol on her for months. It didn’t do her good. The more she thought, the more she felt little pinches in her heart.

It was wrong, her reasons were wrong. But she couldn’t convince herself they were. She felt so little, she felt she no longer had the guts to face his parents again after breaking up, she felt like this is happening because Changmin knew how she couldn’t move on and so he’d come back out of pity.

“Mom’s inviting you for dinner tomorrow.” Sooyoung’s eyes widened in surprise, “You got a lot of explaining to do. She said you never visited again after we broke up.”

“But-” 

“I’ll pick you up at, say, around eight thirty?” Changmin was smirking on the other end of the line.
