Warning: Character Death

The first time it rained when the two of you were together was back in high school.​ He looked up to the cloud filled sky with fascination as if it was his first time seeing rain. He turned to you with that infamous childlike smile of ​his and mentioned how he never got to play  in the rain. 

You grimaced, ​you never like the rain but when it came to him you had always been indulgent despite trying to hide it and him being older than you. One look at his puppy dog eyes filled to the rim with hope and excitement, you found yourself an hour later running along together. You looked over to him saw how he shined from happiness and slightly wondered what was the point in running home when you were already drenched.

The second memory of the rain you two shared together was in college. It had been raining all day and he sat on the floor of your dorm room watching some rerun drama. Lightening flashed, thunder crackled and you looked in the direction of the window, glaring at the downpour. You felt a hand on your shoulder and turned to his direction, where he grinned up at you like a Cheshire cat. "

It can't rain all the time," he assured you with a foreign look in his eyes. The look faded when he suggested you two play some video games as he already begun to get the console set up. You let off a gently smile before joining him on the floor.

The last memory you have together in the rain was the worse at most. Just thinking about the time brings you into an unspoken depression. It was night in the sky was darker than normal with rain falling relentlessly. You two sat in a car, him in the passenger seat hands clinging onto the armrest. You laid your free hand on top of his, trying your best to to ease his fright. All that was heard was the pitter-patter of rain agains
