"You may work in partners." Your teacher announced as she passed out a handout.

You always hated working in partners, and were all sedt to work alone, when someone plopped down next to you.

"Hi."

You glanced up, and stared at the boy. "Hi."

"Would you be my partner?" He asked, producing some candy from the sidepocket of his backpack. "I'll give you a lollipop."

"You don't have to bribe me, Jongdae. But since you're offering," You picked up the er and unwrapped it.

Jongdae gave an adorable laugh and cracked open his book. "You remembered my name."

"Did you expect me not to?"

"You've been thinking about me a lot, huh?" The boy joked.

"Shut up." You chuckled. "We need to get this done. I want a good grade."

"The signal in this hall , the internet on my computer keeps going out. Since the assignment's not due until next class, maybe we could meet outside of class one day." Jongdae suggested.

You shrugged. "Sure, that's ok with me."

"I don't know what time I'm gonna be working yet, but if you give me your number, I could text you when I'm free."

You nodded and took his phone when he held it out to you. You saved your number in his contacts and handed it back. "I guess we're done for now. See you later."

"Bye."

As you walked out of class, you missed the grin and fist pump Jongdae did behind your back.
