On Stage
Silent Attraction
Thirty minutes more until I can get out of this auditorium.
The presentation of the graduates to the guests, the speech of the principle, and the distribution of the diplomas have all past.
All that is supposed to be left is the picture taking. After that, graduation will end.
Though this year, another segment to the ceremony was added: The speech directed to the batch by their very own valedictorian.
And it was no surprise that Oh Sehun was given that adulation amongst everyone else.
“Dear teachers, parents; guests, and of course, my fellow students,” he started off.
“Today we are gathered to commemorate the last day we are ever going to be high school students.”
Though his voice was shaky and nervous, the content of his speech was truly admirable.
I knew from that moment, I could not ever surpass him in terms of academics and persuasion.
But strangely, I was content with being number two.
