“You seem really down. Is something wrong?” I questioned.

She was silent for a moment, as if searching for the right words to say. “I don't...celebrate Christmas.”

My eyebrows rose. “You don't?”

Her head shook, not even bothering to look into my eyes when she was done.

I didn't really know how to respond to that. Finally, I figured it was best to just ask what question was in my head. “Then what do you celebrate?”

Again she shook her head. “You don't understand.”

“Then tell me so that I do understand.” I pressed on.

She took a deep breath and looked at me right in the eyes. “I don't celebrate Christmas because...

I have no one to celebrate it with.”

N/A: Hey everyone! Here's a new story I brewed up in honor of it being holiday season! It's really short [I only have it planned out as 7 or so chapters] so hopefully it won't take that long. I really just wanted to get this up during this time because I've had this story in my head for a couple months now and I figured it was best to have it up during the holiday season since I really wrote it with a winter setting.

On another note, "The Guardian's Wish" is NOT on hiatus. I am currently working on the next chapter, it's just that I so happened to be working on this story as well so my time devoted to that fan fic is cut in half. Hopefully I'll get another chapter up before Christmas, I'm not too sure about it since I really wanna finish this story while it's stil holiday season, you know?
