[Taeyeon’s point of view]

“Do you really not need me to fetch you home?” Sunny probably asked for the 6th time. “It’s really okay Sunny. Terrence is reaching.” (Author’s note: Story description has been edited on 11/12/12 with details of the girls’ partners. Terrence is Taeyeon’s suitor.) “I’m just worried…” I smiled at Sunny when she said that and I touched her hand to assure her that I was fine. “There he is. I’ll make a move first alright? Meet again soon!” Sunny smiled and nodded as I left the shop and got onto Terrence’s car.

[Terrence’s point of view]

“Eo oppa hello. (어 오빠 안녕.)” Her familiar voice reached my ears. “Mmm. (음.)” I couldn’t help but to smile. “Where are we heading to? Home? (어디 가? 집에?)” Taeyeon just nodded, her face showing signs of exhaustion and some sort of hidden sadness. “Just sleep first alright? I’ll wake you up later.” She nodded yet again, this time trying to smile a little. And so I drove off, but I wasn’t heading towards her house.

We reached the Han River and stopped at the side, not wanting to wake Taeyeon who was sleeping soundly. The loud sound of a car zooming past however woke her up in shock and the first thing she did was to apologise profusely. “Ah sorry! Are we at my house? (아 미안해! 집에 왔어?)” When she looked around, she was a little surprised.

Taeyeon: “Eo… Here… (어… 여기…)”

Terrence: “Shall we talk a little. (얘기 좀 할까?)”

Taeyeon: “Ah… Okay… (아… 그래…)”

We got out of the car and found somewhere to sit. She had with her an uneasy expression, probably thinking I was going to say something serious to her. “Sit. (앉아.)” I said gently to her.

Terrence: “Are you okay? (괜찮아?)”

Taeyeon: “Yeah… Just a little uneasy. (네… 그냥 좀 불안해.)”

Terrence: “Don’t feel uneasy. Just wanted to talk to you because I miss you. (불안하지마. 나 그냥 너랑 얘기하고 싶어. 보고 싶어서.)”

Taeyeon: “Ah yeah… (아 예…)”

I was about to take off my jacket when Taeyeon tried to stop me. “Ah oppa it’s… (아 오빠 괜…)” “Shh. (쉿.)” I put a finger to my lips telling her to stop talking and I continued taking it off and put it on her. I beamed my smile at her and I guess she couldn’t help but to smile back. We didn’t talk for a while, perhaps 3 minutes or so.
