Love is patient. Love is kind.

This is something that many teenagers don’t seem to understand and this was no different for Suyeon.  She came home from school trying to hide her tears from her mother, but as soon as she opened the door Taeyeon could see something was wrong.

“Sweetie what’s wrong?” Taeyeon frowned at the sight. There was nothing she hated more than seeing her daughter cry and she quickly went over to her, placing her arms around her in a motherly hug. Suyeon though pushed her away, not responding and walking quickly to her room. To this, Taeyeon was slightly hurt but she remembered her daughter was a teenager. She smiled softly, remembering her own turmoil during that period and she walked back to the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Taeyeon knocked on her daughter’s door, waiting a second before she would open it. Suyeon was laying down, her face planted on the pillow as she sobbed softly. Walking towards her, Taeyeon set down a plate of cookies by her bed table and she sat in the little free space her daughter’s bed had. She sighed softly and started playing with her Suyeonn’s hair, trying to calm her down.

“You know, when I was your age I had my share of troubles too. I hope you never forget that I was a teenager too.” Taeyeon said, laughing softly and looking at her daughter for any response yet none was given. “Did I ever tell you how your father and I…” She was interrupted by her own daughter. “Yes mom, Dad was from Super Junior and you were from SNSD yeah yeah yeah…” To this Taeyeon frowned; her own daughter was underestimating her love story.
