It’s hard to believe that even if we are in 21’s century, arranged marriages still exists. It’s such a delayed thought that frighten too much when you are the one involved.

                Why does this frightens so much? You’re destined to live for the rest of your life with somebody that you never saw before. You don’t even know what this person is like, what are their personalities, or if they have something in common with you. What if this someone is a person that could force you to do things you don’t want to? What if this person forces other people? You could be marrying a monster, and you have no idea of that.

                So, basically, it’s a shot in the dark, where you shot, but you can’t see what you’ll reach. You’re marrying someone for your parent’s sake, for the family’s business, or more specifically, for the sake of the money. When you first hear about it, you feel so much like a merchandise, knowing that your parents could sell you to someone else so easily. There’s anger, the felling of being betrayed, all your dreams being destroyed and brought down just with words. There’s the denial, the crying and, eventually, the acceptance just walks through the door without warning and you could feel so empty. You just want everyone to be happy, even though this could destroy your own happiness.

                But maybe – just maybe – this could be just what you needed for your life. That shoot in the dark could reach the right place, at the end.
