Their lunch was almost over, Kim wiped with the table napkin and Simon took a last sip from his milkshake. "Wait lang Kim, restroom lang ako" he said, kim nodded with a smile, Simon then stood up and walk towards the restroom, few steps away from where they were seated.

 while waiting for Simon, Kim's started to fix things from her purse, and checking her phone, then observing people who walk in and dine in at the resto, when suddenly, she saw a familiar face of a guy seated not too far from where she is, the guy also noticed her and started to walk towards her.

It's Gerald. she thought. her ex-boyfriend, she was really shocked and look down to her cellphone, trying not to look at him.

"Kim?" Gerald finally called. Kim slowly looked up. "Uy Ge!" she responded as if she just notice him just now. Kim stood up and Gerald gave her a beso on her cheek. "How are you?" Gerald asked.

"I'm good, Ge. eto, still busy with the business and stuffs. okay naman ako. Ikaw? kelan ka pa bumalik? diba you're in the states?" 

"Definitely good as well" Gerald said giving out a gesture of showing Kim he looks good more than ever "Last two weeks pa" Kim nodded giving a big smile in response.

"Ge, sorry ha, about a week ago, avoiding emails and not answering your calls, even changing my number. alam mo naman kasi na okay na ako diba?" Kim explained. she thinks that was the perfect moment to give her explanation. 

"No you don't have to explain Kim, and I think you got it all wrong" Gerald said "Akala mo siguro, kukulitin pa kita na makipag balikan sa'yo, pero honestly, hindi ganun yun, I just want to talk to you formally about things para wala tayong heavy burdens and we can move on easily" 

Kim got a little embarassed, all this time, she thought Gerald wants her back and she was so stupid, she thought, for making dramatic ignorance on what Gerald's trying to do just to talk to her. 

"and in fact...." Gerald added, a woman just with the same height as his and has long shiny black hair, walk towards them and stood beside him Gerald wrap his arm around his shoulder "I have totally moved on, finally realized I was happier with her" the woman was obviously Gerald's new girlfriend, that was the one whom he flirted and went out for few dates while he was in a relationship with Kim and the reason why they broke up.

Kim was speechless, trying to smile but the sign of embarrassment and uneasiness was a bit obvious on her face. she just didn't know what to say, after the break up, she thought she's going to become a lot more better than Gerald and moving on was just an easy thing for her, but when that moment came, Kim felt like she just lost in game. 

"So, how about you?" Gerald asked, their attention still on Kim "Kamusta naman? have you finally moved on? do you have a boyfriend, a new love? just like me, kita mo naman, Im happy with someone else now" he said, smiling to her girl. 

"Babe" a voice came from their behind, It was Simon, suddenly appeared on Kim's side "Sorry ha, Daming tao sa rest room eh" 

"Babe??" Gerald wondered "So he's the lucky one?" 

"Yeah, being Kim's boyfriend feels like being the luckiest guy on earth, man." Simon said, pretending to be her boyfriend, he have heard everything gerald's was talking about because he's just a few steps away observing and listening and he came like a superhero. and Kim was startled by hearing that. she didn't know what he's doing but on other hand, she felt saved by that very moment. "and you are?" Simon asked pointing to Gerald, giving a curious look.

"I'm Gerald, pare" he said, hand-shaking Simon "Kim's ex-boyfriend"

"Oh I see. I know everything about it, and I also want to say thank you coz if you didn't let her go, she probably wouldn't be mine." Simon replied, slightly meant what he said. 

"Anyway, we have to go" he said quick, not wanting Simon to talk anything else once more "It was nice seeing you again, Kim" He then turned his attention to Simon for the last time "You too pare, nice meeting you" Gerald hurriedly walked out with her girl and drive away from the resto. 

"Are you okay Kim?" Simon asked, they were now on the road, taking Kim home "About a while ago, pasensiya ka na ha, That's the best thing I can do kanina, and ---"

"Bakit mo naman yun ginawa?" Kim said cutting off Simon.

"Sorry okay? e kasi nakita kita kanina while talking to him, you were like stucked and you just can't escape kaya yun lang talaga naisip ko" Simon explained "So, he was your ex?"

"Narinig mo na nga kanina diba?" Kim said "Pinapamukha niya talagang ex niya ko, naka moved on na siya, and he's with someone else na."

"So nasasaktan ka?" 

Kim shook her head, her attention was straight in front at the road "what's true is that I've already moved on but still, I have this little expectation na makikipagbalikan siya at mag eeffort para bigyan ko siya ng chance tapos akala ko nga siya ang hindi pa, and all this time I thought he wants a talk just coz he wants us to get back together, pero how stupid I am, sobrang assuming ko lang talaga to think gusto pa niya ko kaya siya tumatawag, nag e-email..." Simon constantly listening glancing every now and then to Kim

"Pero I didn't expect he will let me realize na hindi na niya talaga ako kailangan and he's happier with this new girl" Kim added, a tear suddenly fell down from her eyes "Naka-moved na ko pero hindi ko alam na seeing him once again made me feel like I was the one who's running after him.." she bow down her head and cried.

Simon stopped the car beside a convinience store, quickly, he bought a box of tissue and a bottled water, he handed over what Kim needed.

"Sige iiyak mo lang yan, I know how it feels." Simon said, gently rubbing his hand at Kim's back "You know what, It's just that minsan, some things are never meant for you, Akala mo you already found that perfect person for you pero hindi naman pala, tsaka yung feeling na, binigay mo naman lahat, coz I believe that when you love someone, you would gave up everything for her, binigay mo namang lahat pero para sakaniya hindi yun enough, and maghahanap pa siya ng iba, that's the worst part" he said, relating to Kim's situation as he rememberd his problem with Sam and how he overcame what happened to them. 

In the middle of that dramatic conversation, Simon being so serious, accidentally press the horn of his car and it beep loudly, he freaked out that made Kim gave an insulting cute laugh because of his reaction

"nabigla naman ako dun!" Simon said holding his chest while Kim couldn't stop from laughing.

"huy!!" Simon called "Iyak tapos tawa, mukha ka ng baliw diyan"

"Nakakatawa kasi yung reaction mo, parang bading lang! Gay much!" Kim teased, her laugh usual laugh was the loudest "Edi na feel mo rin yung magulat sa busina!" 

"At least, napatawa kita" Simon said smiling staring at Kim who lowered her laugh to giggling.

Simon continued driving when they were both settled down. and when they arrived at Kim's home, he opened  the door for her and walk with her to the gate.

"Sunduin na lang kita ulit kapag kelan niyo ire-reschedule yung meet-up niyo uli ni mommy" Simon said, he then hand over the box of tissue "O sayo na 'to in case maisipan mo nanamang umiyak mamaya, at least may tissue ka na"

Kim grinned and reached for the box "Salamat"

"Sige, una na ko, it was a fun luch with you, with the little dramatic scene a while ago" Simon said smiling and turn away from Kim "See you some other day" 

"Simon" Kim called before he could walk back to his car, Simon turned to face Kim waiting for what she'll be saying

"Thank you talaga kanina, you made me feel better." 

Simon felt flattered which boost his confidence more "No problem. I can do anything to make you feel a lot more than just better.  That's a promise" he said and continued to his car then drove away, leaving Kim with a sweet smile on her face until she got inside their house.

Kim's feelings was from irritation down to being really appreciative to what Simon did and from there, she's accepting the fact she just found the sweet special friend.
