"Hi sisssyyy!" Sam exclaimed cheerfully when her sister Alexa who's a little bit older than her opened the door at her pad Sam visited her sister on that same day at her condo unit somewhere in Greenhills where she's separately living with her fiance.

"Heyyy!" Alexa was surprised, she saw Sam holding a box of red ribbon cake, she quickly gave her a beso-beso and let her enter their unit "How are you sis?!"

Sam placed the box on the table "I'm good, and looking good as always, my dearest sister!" she said pulling a chair from beside the dining table.  "Diba you've arrived a week ago pa? bakit ngayon ka lang nakadalaw?! nakakatampo ka Sam ha" Alexa said rolling her eyes as she opens the box to look at the cake inside. "Sorry sis, si mommy kasi alam mo na, she wanted me to spend a few days with her daw muna bago kita dalawin, as if hindi naman ako babalik sa bahay" 

Alexa lauged while preparing the cake "Si mommy talaga" she put the plates on the table and followed the glasses "Ay siya nga pala, you've been texting me about Simon these past few days, what's going on ba? he finally broke up with you?"

Sam sighed, crossing her legs "unfortunately, you're right sis. i don't know, akala ko okay na kami eh, I swear to god we talked na sa phone when I was in Singapore and all this time I thought okay na kami, then suddenly, he broke up with me, ang labo diba?"

"Baka naman na mis-interpret mo siya, Sam. Ikaw naman kasi, flirting with some other guy in Singapore while you have a boyfriend back in Pinas, then after you called him to admit you flirted! where's your head sis!" Alexa scolded and took a bite of the piece of cake from his fork she's holding.

"Is it my fault? E he got really attracted with me, he tempted me! and I'm just an honest girlfriend kaya ko sinabi yun, pasalamat pa nga siya inamin ko eh, kesa nalaman niya sa iba."

"of course, you're the only one who could tell him! kasi sila tita naman sa Singapore, hindi pa nakikilala sa Simon eh. sira ka talaga Sam." Alexa answered. "E ano ngayon ang balak mo? you told me sa text na mahal mo pa si Simon"

Sam poured an orange juice in her glass "Of course I do, akala niya madali lang saakin yun, like I told you ate, I love him, seriously, at hindi ako papayag na makipag break siya saakin noh. kaya I told him, gagawin ko lahat to win him back and that's a promise" she paused and took a sip on her glass of juice "He'll see" raising an eyebrow, Sam has really a strong will to take his Simon back in her arms again and nothing would stop her from doing what she wants. What Sam wants, Sam gets,. she thought. 

"Hello ma'am, hello sir, here's our menu" the waiter in this fabulous resto greeted and handed over the  menu to Simon and Kim who have just arrived and seated down across to each other. Simon and Kim took the menu and read on for their orders.

"I'll have salisbury steak and milkshake" Simon said, the waiter then nodded and turn to Kim "How about you ma'am?" he asked.

"mine's pork teriyaki and I'll just have iced tea, please" Kim replied and the waiter wrote down their orders and repeated what's written. 

"Ma'am, sir, I would just like to offer you, that we have our special seats for couples in the lounge if you want" the waiter held out a hand to show the direction inside the restaurant "you can enjoy your lunch with good music which are all love songs, we made it for couples just like you"

Kim shooked her head politely "No, thanks" Kim answered quickly while Simon remain speechless, trying not to smile  "But we're not even together, we're just friends"

"Oh, okay, sorry ma'am. I thought you're a couple because you actually look good together....okay, so is there anything else sir?" he asked, lastly. "None. thank you" Simon said.

Kim suddenly noticed Simon's smile that he couldn't help flashing. "O, bakit ka naka smile?"

"Ha? ako? nakangiti?" Simon said pretending he didn't do such "Hindi ah... natuwa lang ako sa sinabi nung waiter"

Kim suddenly raised an eyebrow, knowing Simon smiled because of the fact they were told they look good together

"O magsusungit ka nanaman. Natutuwa lang ako kasi may couple lounge sila" he said. Kim rolled her eyes and looked away.

"So...." Simon spoke, bringing up a conversation, he put both hands on the top of the table and stared at Kim. "Tell me anything about you" Kim make face  "Ano ka, talk show host?" 

"Pwede rin" he replied with a grin "I mean, I really wanna know more about you, well aside from being a bag designer...and being the daughter of Mr. Albert Chiu, owner of Sunrise hotel" 

"How did you know about that?!" Kim asked quickly. "Sinabi saakin ni mommy. sabi nga niya you're really impressive daw, kasi may own business ka na, tapos ikaw pa ang pag ha-handle-in ng family business niyo, I wonder how it feels?" 

"Bakit hindi mo alam yung feeling? diba you came from a wealthy family naman, I'm sure you got businesses too, your mom's a doctor, at im pretty sure graduate ka na. you should know how it feels like" Kim said.

Simon leaned back on the couch "Well, unfortunately, I haven't been doing business, handling stuffs like you do, hindi ko pa alam gusto kong gawin eh. I'm a BS Biology grad"

Kim laughed, surprised of what she heard. "Ikaw? Bs Bio?!" Simon nodded "Oo. at bakit ka naman natawa dun!?" 

"wala lang, I was just surprise. yeah I know tita Elsa's a doctor pero alam mo never sumagi sa utak ko na you're somewhat in the same field as your mom. so mag dodoctor ka? kasi ----" 

"what? dahil mukha kong happy go lucky na hindi kakayanin ang mga courses na ganun?" Simon interrupted "..that I look like someone who's going to  take up hrm or arts para medyo hassle-free?" 

"Medyo." Kim admitted "pero I was really surprise you're a bs bio grad, following the footsteps of tita Elsa  talaga ha?"

"Actually, hindi. never ko ngang gusto yun eh. I was forced, e since nag iisang anak lang ako, and parents are separated na, my mom only wants nothing but the best for me, kaya ko kinuha yun. first love ko talaga ang basketball, I think walang course na suitable dun kasi sports siya, kumabaga sa school, extra curricular activity, pero you know what I really want?" 

"What?" Kim asked, getting kinda interested with their conversation.

"I want to make this world a better place, lalo na sa mga bata., educate them, teach them basketball kesa malulong sila sa drugs or magkaron ng mga vices. something like that, kaya when I was a younger, I dreamed to be an educator. a teacher maybe."  

by consistently listening and without any denial, Kim was really impressed by the words that came out from Simon's mouth and  that only proved he's really not the type of guy Kim thinks he is. at one moment, she didn't notice that she was like frozen, staring at Simon, interested with what he's talking about. 

Simon snapped his fingers "Uy. ok ka lang? parang hindi ka naman nakikinig eh" 

"Oo okay lang ako. at nakikinig ako" Kim said. "E bakit nakatitig ka lang saakin? wala ka man lang facial expression:" Simon said "sabi ko na eh, siguro may crush ka na saakin no?" he teased.

"Che! excuse me noh! good listener lang talaga ko!" Kim argued that made Simon laughed. 

a few minutes have passed and at last, the waiter came with their orders. "Enjoy ma'am and sir.. if there anything else you want, please do ask" the waiter said and left.

Kim and Simon enjoyed their lunch together, talking about random stuffs, but most of the time, Simon was the one who's telling more of himself all through out their lunch. from there, Simon realized he was already friends with Kim and his heart was like saying he'll do everything to get more closer to her.
