Rejection
Poetry Collection
Do you know what
Rejection feels like?
No?
Then let me tell you.
It's like someone
Slashing you in half
With a dull, rusty blade.
It's like someone
Trapping your throat in their hands
And squeezing until you're light-headed
But not letting you pass out.
It's like someone
Is pounding your head
With a dull, stake and mallet.
It's like being hit by a freight train
Going 100 miles an hour
But you don't die,
You only lie there in unimagineable agony.
It hurts, alot
But you will be put back together,
You will be able to breathe,
You will have someone to help ease the pain
But it'll take time.
Rejection hurts everyone
But it all depends on
Whether or not,
You are strong enough
To overcome it.
