You wake to the sound of your annoying alarm clock and force yourself up. Last night, you had stayed up ‘till 2am finishing your homework—you had been too excited for today. You’re going to the Pokémon game release with Kwangmin! For the past few days, you and Kwangmin had bonded over your shared love for Pokémon. You had slowly learnt more about him; for instance, he has a childish love for Pikachu. You unconsciously smile at that thought.

You drag yourself downstairs to see your mom preparing breakfast. You start to regret staying up late last night. You force your eyes open.

“You slept late last night didn’t you?” your mom asks.

“Yea…but…” you hesitate.

“It’s been two days in a row.”

“I know. I’m sorry.”

“You should be. I’m not going to let you go to buy the game today.”

“What?!” you instantly wake up.

“I’m not going to let you go out with your friend today,” she repeated. “You need your rest. Take a look at yourself! You look exhausted.”

“But mom…”

“I’m doing this because I care about you.”

“But…”

“No buts.”

You give up and leave for school.

~~~~~~~~~ At school

“Hey! You look tired today,” Hana looks at you, worried, “are you okay?”

“Yea I’m fine.”

“The homework was difficult, wasn’t it…”

“Yea…I’m so exhausted. I don’t feel like learning today.”

“Yea. I can tell.” She smiles.

“And I have to tell Kwangmin that I can’t go after school.”

“Wait what? Why can’t you go?”

“My mom won’t let me.”

“That .”

You yawn and slowly begin to fall asleep..

“Hey,” Hana nudges you, “I’ll tell him for you, kay? Go to the nurse’s office to rest.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yup. I’ll take care of it,” she grins. “Now go! Unni demands you to!”

You smile and go to the nurse’s office.

~~~~~~~~~(Hana’s POV)

Hana slowly makes her way to the Art hall.

“Sigh…I wonder… where’s the Art Lounge again?” she mumbles to herself.

She passes by several classrooms and finally finds the Art Lounge. Her heart starts pounding and she nervously opens the door. “Hana, you can do this,” she thinks to herself.

She sees Kwangmin and Minwoo practicing.

“Um…” she blurts out.

The two boys stare at her.

“I’m sorry,” she says as she begins to walk out.

“Hey Hana!” Minwoo smiles.

She halts. “He knows my name?” she wonders to herself. “After all these years, he actually knows my name!”

She nervously turns around and bows. “Hi Minwoo.”

“What are you doing here?” he replies with a grin.

“I have message for Kwangmin…”

“Me?” Kwangmin looks at you surprised.

“Yea, ---------- can’t meet up with you after school today.”

“What why?” Minwoo asks.

“Her mom won’t let her, plus she’s exhausted at the moment…”

“Oh…” Kwangmin looks down.

Minwoo looks at Kwangmin worried. Kwangmin still doesn’t look up.

“Um…I’m sorry,” Hana says.

“It’s not your fault,” Minwoo reassures her.

“I got to go…bye.”

“Bye,” Minwoo says and instantly returns his attention to Kwangmin as Hana leaves the room.

She carefully closes the door and smiles to herself.

“He knows my name!”

~~~~~~~~~~(Kwangmin’s POV)

After Hana had left, Kwangmin looks up.

“What do I do now?”

“Hm?” Minwoo asks, confused.

“I told the guys that I’d be bringing someone. If I show up alone, they’ll make fun of me…again.”

“Do you want me to go with you?”

“I said I’d bring a girl…”

“Oh,” Minwoo says embarrassed, “I don’t know then…”

“Maybe I shouldn’t go then…”

“Are you going to let such a small problem get in the way of you getting the game?”

“What?”

“Don’t let this bother you. You need to be strong! Why does it matter if you bring anyone anyways?”

“I guess…”

“Good.”

The door opens and Youngmin walks in.

“Hey guys.” He smiles.

“Hey,” Kwangmin and Minwoo both say in unison.

“Sorry for being late for practice. Some girl kept trying to talk to me,” he says.

“Again?” Minwoo asks.

“Yea…I thought she got the message after the hundredth time.” He chuckles.

“It might’ve been your new hair colour,” Minwoo laughs, “It’s so blond!”

“I know!”

“It’s for work, right?”

Youngmin nods and then stares at Kwangmin.

“Are you okay?” he looks worried.

“Yea…” Kwangmin mumbles.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.”

“Dude…”

“I said nothing!”

Minwoo explains, “Kwangmin’s sad because ---------- can’t go with him to the game release.”

“Minwoo!” Kwangmin glares at him.

“That’s it?” Youngmin asks.

“Mhmm,” Minwoo nods.

“I just wanted to get to know her better,” Kwangmin blurts out.

“Wait, who is this girl again?”

“----------. The girl you raged at several days ago.” Minwoo laughs.

“Oh…” Youngmin looks down and scratches the back of his neck, “I didn’t know…”

“It’s fine. She’s over it now I think.” Minwoo smiles.

“I would go with you if I didn’t have work,” Youngmin tries to comfort Kwangmin, “Minwoo, can you go?”

“He won’t let me. He said he told the guys he invited a girl.”

“Oh…” Youngmin pauses, “why does it even matter?”

“It doesn’t! Just leave me alone!” Kwangmin yells and runs out of the room into the halls, leaving the two confused.

He goes into the garden and sits on the nearest bench.

One of his friends approaches him.

“Hey Kwangmin!” the boy smiles.

“Hi Seonho,” he mumbles.

“You ready for the game release?” Seonho asks.

“Mhmm.” He forces a smile.

“Can’t wait to meet your girl.”

“I can’t wait for you guys to meet her too,” he lies.

“Cool. Well, see you later.” Seonho walks away.

“Oh god, what do I do now?” he whispers to himself.

Author's Note: I didn't put Seonho in the character description because I consider him to minor. He's sort of based of the guy who was supposed to debut with Boyfriend but was replaced with Hyunseong.
