I don’t have to look at him to know of his every move. He’s so noticeable and he’s everywhere. There’s always someone gossiping about him. But I know better than to blatantly hang onto their words. Although, there does seem to be some truth to their tales. Not that I care. Not at all. I could care less about how he was chosen as the M.V.P. of his team at last night’s soccer game. Or how he managed to score twenty goals all by himself. Or how he snagged first place at the school talent show with his angelic voice. Tch. I don’t see what’s so great about the Chinese transfer student that causes everyone to grovel at his feet. Even the teachers fawn over him for goodness’ sake! And did I mention he was everywhere? Apparently, he volunteers at the animal shelter after school. I should adopt a puppy sometime. Because they’re cute and not because I want to see for myself if he really volunteers there. Nope. But either way I couldn’t avoid him, even if I wanted to. My heart is a stubborn little thing.
