"can i kiss you?"

we met a week after graduation. it was a trip to Okinawa and bumping on to a tall, dark, mismatched-eyes japanese speaking korean must have been fate.

i laughed. "Changmin, are you hungry?"
"No, I'm serious. I want to kiss you."

he apologized and offered lunch. we ended up exchanging phone numbers and planning on meeting up again the next day. well, he volunteered to be my tour guide.
Okinawa's going to be my favorite place next to Paris, she thought as she waved goodbye to her new found friend.

"but--"
"Sooyoung, i like you"

i told him i dont know how to swim. he laughed and teased me endlessly about my name. i walked out on him. he apparently was able to keep up, handed me cotton candies and did aegyo.
okay, apology accepted.

"changmin no!" and thought i know i'd regret this afterwards, i left him.

i had a hard time packing. it was time to go, vacation's over.

i glanced up on changmin, he was leaning on the doorframe toying his shoes.

"you okay?" "...."

i took a step towards him and held his hands as so our eyes meet.
"what's wrong? missing me already?" i teased.

"can i kiss you?"
i laughed."Changmin are you hungry?"
"no. i'm serious. i want to kiss you".
and i can see that he was. but i don't like how this is going.
"but--"
"Sooyoung! i like you!"
that's it! he had said it again.
"Changmin no! Stop it!" she turned backed packing her things again. wiping off the tears as they keep on falling.
they're as stubborn as changmin, she thought bitterly.

he moved closer and hugged her from behind.
it's as if time stopped for the both of them and everything don't matter at all.

"im sorry sooyoung. but i can't anymore."
she lets him turn her around. she lets him wipe her tears. and lets him kiss her.
it tasted bittersweet but she lets him, for memories' sake.
"stay with me." he pleaded.

though she'd regret this afterwards. she left him.
and broke both of their hearts.

"i just got engaged."he scoffed "really?"
"mmyeah. our marriage had been arranged even before i was born. can't back out."
you're screwed."
"i guess so. it wasn't bad at all, kyungho oppa's a nice guy."
"but he can't make your heart flutter the way i do."

"maybe...


still, he's the one im gonna marry."
