Yun Min Ah why don’t you like SHINee?  My sister Hyeri asked

“Just cause I don’t.” I said.

“Aish, really?” “Ugh. You’re so stupid.”

“I don’t see what you see in them honestly.

They’re just a bunch of guys that, dance around in skinny jeans all day whipping their hair around, attempting to act somewhat y in their videos” I said, complaining to her.

“Who asked you anyway?!” Hyeri said angrily

“Whatever” I said.

I left the room & went to go see what my parents were up too.

They were calmly watching the news like any typical day

I went to go check my email to see if the college

I signed up for accepted me.

Still no message

“Ugh really, I sent them an email, even showed up & they still didn’t give me a response yet, its been like 2 months already, I hope I don’t get rejected like the other 3 colleges.”

2 weeks later~

Well I guess its time to check the old inbox & expect to have nothing in it once again I told myself.

I the computer & signed into yahoo.

I clicked inbox, hoping for something to be there.

I open one eye & see the words “University of South Korea College”

I exhale slowly as I click the link & I automatically see the words

“CONGRATULATIONS, you are now enrolled into UOSKC”

I screamed so loud my mom came into the room & looked at me puzzled

What happened?! My mom asked.

I got into the college! I screamed happily.

My mom came running to me

Hugging me tightly & tears flowing down her cheeks.

I finally did it.

I’m going to college.

After all the wailing & crying my father soon came in to check on us & to see what happened.

“What happened?” He asked us both.

Mom rushed over to him & told him how I got accepted to college in South Korea.

He was ecstatic &  came over to me patting my head saying “congrats, I’m so proud of you” & shortly after that he gave me a hug.

They were both so proud of me, I didn’t even know how to react.

I was all happy, tears literally flying off of my face,  & smiling so hard that my lips might fall off of my face.

My parents kept hugging me & kissing my forehead.

My sister Hyeri came into the room, looking all confused.

“Uhhhhh.. what are we celebrating here?” she said.

“Your sisters’ going to college” My mom told her.

“Really? Where? & does that mean I get to keep your room?” Hyeri asked.

“Oh hush up about my room” I told her.

“Aish, whatever, anyways where is it?” She asked again.

“It’s in South Korea” I said.

“WAHHHHH?!! NO FAIR!!!” Hyeri screamed.

“What’s not fair?” I asked her.

“It’s in South Korea & SHINee & all the other kpop artists live there” Hyeri complained.

“And? What does that have to do with me going to college there.” I said to her.

“UGH, You can possibly meet them.” She whined.

“Okay, not like I want to anyway.” I said to her.

She glared at me & gave me a dirty look then soon left the room.

I laughed at her & my dad left to go finish watching t.v

My mom was still in the room with me sitting on my bed.

She looked worried.

“Mom whats wrong?” I asked her.

“Its nothing” She told me.

I saw tears building up in her eyes.

“Mom I can tell when somethings wrong” I told her while sitting on my bed next to her.

“It’s just that I’m going to miss you so much & I want you to be safe at all times. & when you’re there who’s going to be able to make you great breakfast & always make sure you study well.”

She broke down in tears.

“Mom please don’t cry, I’m going to be okay after all I am going to be 20 in a couple of months, so I’ll have to learn how to do stuff on my own anyway.” I said to her.

“Yeah you’re right”, she said to me while cleaning her tears up.

“Oh, I raised a strong, beautiful, daughter” She said & smiled at me happily.

“Yeah you did mom” I told her.

She got up, hugged me & left the room so I could start packing for Seoul.
