Minhyun & Aron: Playing

Aron had been teaching Minhyun an American game, one the younger couldn’t recognize but eagerly accepted to learn just to spend time with him. Twenty minutes in and Minhyun was still having a difficult time understanding the rules, but Aron simply shuffled the cards and dealt them, choosing to use visuals in hopes it’d help teach him.

After several (horridly) failed attempts at the game, Minhyun chose a random board game, noting Aron’s look of defeat when he couldn’t teach something he loved. But either way his hyung stepped up to the plate and helped him set up the board game, not playing until it looked perfect.

They’d played several rounds before it was time to sleep, Aron immediately snuggled into his blankets and passed out, Minhyun took the moment to ask JR if it was alright if he stepped out for a moment. The Nu’est leader looked confused and more together unsure of letting his younger member out when they should all be sleeping for a TV filming they’d be seeing the next night. He’d quickly explained what he had in mind to do and JR smiled gently, as if suddenly everything was right in the world. With permission granted Minhyun skipped out and towards their manager-hyung’s office, in search of a usable computer.

The next morning JR and Ren were making breakfast, Baekho complaining about how they should sneak on stage and perform their song in the TV taping later when Minhyun pulled Aron upstairs and asked for another game. The older shrugged and looked puzzled when Minhyun pulled out the cards instead of a board game. Almost as if he created the game, Minhyun was telling Aron all the rules that the older had been trying to teach him the day before, obviously having studied up on the game when Aron had gone to bed.

Aron grinned and leaned across the table to place several butterfly kisses against Minhyun’s lips, the younger soaking them in as the playing cards lay forgotten.
