Ren & Aron: Contentment

Aron simply liked to be with Ren, they didn’t need to do anything too special, really, just needed to be able to interact with each other and he was content. He’d always sneak glances his way or follow in a horribly un-stealthy manner that would leave most people questioning him. Ren didn’t mind, none of Nu’est did, because in a way Aron did it for them all. But Ren was special, their well-pampered, ill-tempered, nagging princess that was treated as royalty. (Sorry JR, Aron told him once, your fake royal blood has nothing on Ren. And JR simply threw his head back and laughed.)

Ren dropped his hand from where he’d been cupping half the heart symbol, Baekho hung his hand up in the air a little longer, flashing fangirls cheesy smiles and pretending to have his heart broken for Ren pulling back so early. Aron took this moment to slither into the conversation, leaning forward from his chair on the other side of Ren to lock gazes with him, “The royalty doesn’t have time to play with the peasants.”

To the fans ears it sounded bitter, possibly even a little rude, like he was waiting for Ren to attack him. But the blond was able to read between the lines, he could tell Aron wanted attention, calling him out on the fact that he’d been occupied with everyone else that day. So he gently leaned over and placed a decently tight grip on Aron’s shoulder, tilting his head just so for the other man to meet him halfway in the middle.

Fans squealed their approval, snapping photos as Aron pretended to have different emotions running across his face, from a surprised look to confusion to anger before finally giving a bitter smile.

Ren was content enough to slide back into his seat comfortably, glancing at the brunet out of the corner of his eye. Aron’s eyes promised all kinds of things when they’d get back to the dorm, lingering touches, burning kisses and lots of contentment. The blond couldn’t wait.
