Calls Back (Jaejoong's POV)
A Sweet Black Day
Jaejoong was lying lazily on the couch when his girlfriend called, “No, it’s okay. I really don’t mind it, I mean.. Of course, I will miss you, but if Sunmi really needs you today, just go with her.”
Yeli giggled, “So what will you do when I’m not around?”
“Uhm, staying at home? Maybe I’ll just design again tonight,” Jaejoong sighed. He actually never took this relationship to a serious status, and had been trying to find a reason to break up with Yeli. Because honestly, he never loved her and it was not fair if he keep doing this when his heart’s not in it. He was just have no heart to hurt her, she was nice and enjoying their relationship. Everyone around them has been blessing them together, they love to see Jaejoong and Yeli walking together in the mall or maybe just talking in the park.
“Oppa won’t be mad at me, will you?” Yeli asked with her sweet voice. Jaejoong just rolled his eyes.
“No, I won’t Yeli.”
“Oppa, you know that I don’t like it when you calling me my name,” Yeli said. She sighed, “I always want you to call me ‘baby’ like what other guys does to their girl.”
*Jaejoong’s POV*
I know. But, baby? I can’t call you that because it will remind me of Ginny. She’s my baby, my only baby. My chubby ba…
“Oppa, you’re still there?”
“Oh. Yeah. Sorry!” See, even just thinking about it making me forget about what is happening in time.
“Call me baby now?” Yeli asked again.
“Come on Yeli, you’re not my baby. You’re not even a baby!”
“Call me babe then! I like hearing Yunho calling Yooeun ‘babe’!”
“Well, I’m not Yunho. You’re not Yooeun,” sometimes, this girl really getting on my nerves. Can’t she just give up on something I can’t do? “Yeli. Do you know there’s a movie about a fat little pig named Babe? That Babe was really fat and a real pig. Still want me to call you Babe? Because when I remember about Babe, all I can think is a pig.”
“Oppa, are you just calling me a pig?” Yeli sounds angry on the line. “I’m hanging up now! I’ll call Sunmi and will just…whatever. Bye!”
“Okay, bye!” just before she said something, I hung up my phone and block her number. When and how can I just tell her to break? It’s a pain in the neck to talk to her, not like two years ago when she’s still shy in front of me and always asking me what should she done.
Well, it’s been long time. She’s my first girl friend -as in friend- after Ginny, and unfortunately my girlfriend too. I walked out of my room and stand in front of the large window, it’s so dark out there I can barely see sky. Seems like there will be snow but in April? What a black day today is!
“Wait a minute! BLACK DAY!!!” I grabbed the calendar and staring at it like a tard. “IT’S 14th! Damn!”
How can I forget my own words, the promises, the bet was made by me and I forgot. I throw the calendar to the sofa and grabbed my jacket from the pegs as fast as a lightning struck. Grabbed my keys and left the house. It’s still 3 pm, if she remembers about the bet, I hope she still waiting there, I hope she’s still the patient Ginny I knew. And I wish she still single!
But.. I stopped on my track, the car is
