“Ugh Soojung turn it off,” Jinri groaned as she put a pillow over her head to block out Soojung’s alarm. Soojung reached for her phone and turned off her alarm. She got up and threw herself on Jinri.

“YAH!” Jinri yelled as a heavy weight crashed down on her.

“Jinri ah~ Wake up. It’s already 8 am. Eomma’s gonna get mad,” Soojung said sleepily.

“Alright, just get off me.” They got up and went out of the room. They smelled pancakes and saw Sunyoung flipping them in the kitchen. They saw Victoria drying her hair and assumed that Amber was taking a shower since she’s not there.

“Good Morning!” They greeted. Sunyoung turned at their greeting and smiled at them.

“Oh good you’re here. Breakfast is ready.”

“Ooh pancakes!” Jinri squealed. Amber joined them in the dining room and made coffee.

“Can you believe it? Shinee failed their last mission,” Sunyoung said as she served the pancakes to the waiting members.

“Huh, I know right? I’m sure it was Taemin’s fault,” Jinri laughed.

“Or Key’s,” Amber joined.

“Okay enough pin-pointing. Soojung, Jinri, it’s already 8:30 and the meeting is at nine. Knowing how long you two shower, better start now,” Victoria said. The said members nodded, finished their food, got up and got ready. 

Meeting room; 9 am

Eleven chairs were placed around the rectangular table of the dark meeting room. Five of those chairs are occupied by five of the best agents of SM. They were waiting for six more people so they can start the meeting. Jinri and Soojung were playing rock papers scissors because they were realllyyyy bored – as Soojung whined; Sunyoung and Amber were plain talking and Victoria was reading the files Sunyoung and Jinri collected on their last mission.

The door opened and immediately the girls stopped what they were doing and sat up straight. Six figures entered the room, one sitting at the head of the table, the others occupied the seats opposite f(x). Seeing their fallen faces, Jinri and Soojung couldn’t help but giggle. Victoria hushed them and Minho and Taemin glared at them.

Sooman cleared his throat which caught the attention of the ten agents.

“Good morning agents. I trust that you slept well," He said. F(x) nodded while Shinee groaned.

“So, first things first, Victoria, did you get the files I asked you to collect?”  He turned to f(x)’s leader.

“Yes sir," Victoria replied. “Sunyoung and Jinri successfully retrieved the files though we had a little difficulty escaping." The girls looked at Jinri.

“I didn’t mean to!” Jinri defended. “It was an accident!” Shinee couldn’t help but snicker and Jinri sent them a glare.

“Anyway,” Victoria cleared . “Here are the files that we retrieved.” Victoria handed Sooman the papers but Sooman raised his hand.

“Rip it."

“What?” Victoria snapped/asked.

“I said rip it," Sooman repeated.

“Are you serious?” Victoria couldn’t help but raise her voice. Was this man serious? Her girls risked their lives just to retrieve it and he’s asking her to rip their hard work?

“Are you raising your voice at me Song Qian?” Sooman warned. Victoria flinched. She didn’t like using that name.

“But we worked hard in retrieving that...” Jinri tried to reason but Sooman ignored her and turned to Victoria again.

“Rip it."

Victoria had no choice but to comply. Sooman was giving her one of his intimidating stares that scared the out of Victoria. She reluctantly ripped the paper into shreds. Her girls said nothing, they just patted Sunyoung and Jinri’s shoulders as Victoria ripped the files. Victoria sat down on her chair with a thud, clearly showing that she’s pissed.

Sooman ignored her childish antics and turned to Shinee. “Now, what happened?”

Jinki, being the leader, answered. “We apologize, sir. I really don’t know what happened. Somehow they managed to capture Taemin and Minho.

“I was going to shoot so that I can set them free, but someone else did and then I wasn’t aware of what’s happening. The only thing I heard was Kibum telling me to go to the chopper," he explained. He avoided the stares he was receiving by bowing his head.

“Jinki! I didn’t train you to be ashamed when you fail. Chin up chin up!” Sooman told him. “Okay be seated."

“Now, let us all forget about this as I have a new mission for you," He started.

“There is a masquerade ball the night after tomorrow at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Seoul. I believe it's about it celebrating its fifth aniversary. My sources told me that the stolen files of the company-" his explanation was interpted by a question from Kibum. 

 "Wait the company has been robbed?"

"Yes, five years ago. We tried tracking tracking the robbers to no avail. Now after five years, we finally tracked the files and I want you ten to retrieve it."

Shinee and f(x) looked at each other and then to their boss.

"You want us to work with them?" Key and Amber shouted at the same time.

"Yes. You have been in missions in the past, I'm sure you can work well together."

"But sir." Sunyoung tried to reason. "No offense to Shinee but they just failed. Their emotions about they're failure might affect their work. If you pair us up with them, we might fail because of them and we can't afford failing." She received glares from the guys every time she mentioned them failing. 

"Also sir," Jonghyun countered. "Being on a mission with them would be like saving damsels in distress. And that would be in the way of the mission."

"We are not damsels in distress! We can take care of ourselves thank you very much. You're the one who needs saving," Sunyoung retorted.

"Why you little-" Jonghyun was about to lunge at Sunyoung but the rest of Shinee restrained him. F(x) was standing protectively in front of Sunyoung. Jonghyun was to escape from s grip and Sunyoung has this 'you-dare-hit-me' look on her face.

"Enough!" Sooman's voice boomed across the meeting room. "Jonghyun calm down. Sunyoung, wipe that look off your face. You are all working on this mission whether you like it or not." There was finality in Sooman's voice that made it clear that the arguement is done.

"The details are in this folder. All the things you'll need; even the fake invitations are there. That would be all. Dismissed." With that said Sooman stood up and left the meeting room.

"Great, just great," Sunyoung sighed as she slumped down on her chair.

"Guys guys come on. Look at the bright side. It's been a while since we last worked together. Why not try again?" Taemin tried to lighten up the mood. Everyone [except Jinri] gave him an 'are - you - serious?' look. 

"Taemin's right guys. It'll be like the good old days!" Seeing Taemin's discomfort, Jinri backed him up which seemed to change the mind of the others. Taemin mouthed a 'thank you' while Jinri winked at him and smiled, silently telling him that it was no problem.

"I suppose I can work with them again," Victoria said. Taemin and Jinri's face brightened up. 

"Me too." Jinki had his eyesmile on.

"Well if Jinki is in then I'm in," Minho declared.

"Me too. I'm not in the mood to argue anyway," Soojung said. 

"I don't have a choice, do I?" Sunyoung asked. Victoria shook her head. "I guess I'm in then."

"Me too," Jonghyun said reluctantly. Now all of them turned to the gadget makers of the group. 

They felt the attention shift to them. "What?" they snapped at the same time. 

"Guys you in or not?" Soojung asked them. 

"Well if he's in," Amber motioned to Key. "Then no."

A chorus of 'Whats' were heard but Amber just shrugged.

"Okay then, I'm in," Key smirked.

"Then I'm not in." Amber crossed her arms around her chest. Her members couldn't believe her.

"Come on Amber, don't be stubborn." [Victoria]

“Yeah! It'll be fun!" [Jinri]

"Amber, I'm working with him, I need someone who'll calm me down." [Sunyoung]

“Amber come oooon." [Soojung.]

"Come on Amber, you know you love me. You can't resist me." Key smirked. Everyone looked at him incredulously. 

Amber has the 'WTF' face. “Puh-lease. Don't flatter yourself."

A voice then said from the speakers of the meeting room. "Oh, and whoever is stubborn and still doesn't accept the mission is fired."

All of the turned to Amber. "Ugghhh fine. But only because I love my job."

"Waaaah! Sooman wasn't kidding! These invitations look real!" Jinri squealed as they gathered around the contents of the folder that were scattered on the center table. They were in the large living room of their floor. The members were scanning the files which Sooman gave them earlier. 

[A/n: lol I know that BEG doesn't own The Grand Hyatt hotel (obviously) but let's pretend shall we?] 

"The Grand Hyatt hotel is a 5-star hotel built back in 2007 by four cousins.

"Kim Hyojin is the eldest. Born 18th September 1981, height is 159 cm and weight 46 kg. She loves to play the piano and sometimes performs at the hotel during her free time," Victoria told the group as she read the profile.

“Jo Mi Hye; second eldest. Born 2^nd November 1981, height 168 cm and weight, hmmm… weird, it doesn’t say." Amber shrugged as she read the next page. Key quickly grabbed the paper she was holding and Amber glared at him.

“She’s right. There’s no weight. Anyway, she loves playing the guitar and sometimes accompanies her cousin,” Key finished.

“Park Hyojin. Third eldest, born 28^th December 1981. Height 158cm and weight 46 kg. She along with Kim Hyojin plays the piano and performs at the hotel as well,” Minho told them as he read another page.

“Son Gain, youngest. Birthday September 20, 1987. Height 158cm and weight 46 kg. She loves to dance and sing, like her cousins," Jonghyun read the last page of the profile.

“So, any criminal records?” Soojung asked the group. They flipped through the files again but found nothing.

“The files says nothing about them being caught by the police doing crimes. What if they are not robbers after all and that Sooman’s sources were wrong,” Jinri hypothesized.

“Or, maybe they erased their criminal records,” Taemin said. “They do have the power and money to do so."

“But they don’t look like criminals though," Jinki though a loud. “They look pretty normal.”

“Looks can be deceiving, dear," Victoria chuckled. She now turned to the group. “Now, we need disguises. We can’t just barge in there, the invitations will be useless and it’s plain wrong. Any ideas?”

“How about we pair with each other first before we decide on disguises?” Jinki said. “It’ll be much better if we pair up.”

“I agree. And being the leaders we shall assign the pairings.” Victoria smirked when she heard the other members groan. She turned to Jinki and whispered something in his ear. Jinki smiled then nodded, agreeing with assigned pairings.

They turned to their members and said the first pair. “Amber,” Victoria said with a mischievous smile.

“And Key,”  Jinki finished.

“WHAT?!” The said members yelled at the same time. “What do you mean us?” Amber asked Victoria, irritated.

“Yeah. Why can’t I be paired with Soojung?” Key complained. Amber didn’t why, but she felt something when Key said that he wanted to be paired with Soojung. She shrugged it off though.

“Because you’re our gadget makers and you need to work together," Victoria calmly told them, Jinki nodding in agreement.

“Uggh fine,” They both said.

“Next is Jonghyun with Sunyoung," Jinki said. Sunyoung was about to react but Victoria gave her a warning look and said nothing.

“Jinri with Taemin,” Victoria said. The said members whipered ‘yes!’ then high fived. The two were best friends after all, that’s why they’re really close.

“And Soojung with Minho.”

“JUST be sure to act like a gentleman or else," Soojung warned but Minho ignored her warning.  

“Okay, now for the disguises. Why don’t we go for the basic?” Soojung then told them her plans. Victoria and Jinki were to be well known dancers; Jonghyun and Sunyoung would be part of the orchestra [the files said that there would be an orchestra playing at the hotel]; Taemin and Jinri would be an actor and an actress; her and Minho would be models; and -she laughed when she told them- Amber and Key would be waiters. When Amber reacted to why she was being a waiter, Soojung said that since she looked like a boy, why not dress like a boy.

“Now I’ll be in the closet picking the dresses and tuxedos we’ll all wear." Soojung turned to Minho. "Wanna help? I don’t exactly know what kind of clothes your group likes you know," She told him. Minho shrugged and followed her out of the room.

Victoria ordered Key and Amber to make and assemble their gadgets now, so that they’ll do all the planning tomorrow. They only agreed because they don’t want Victoria to scold them. The members just shook their heads when they heard shouting from Key and Amber’s workroom.
