On the way to her office with her driver Seunghyun and boyfriend Jiyong, Dara was still lost in her thoughts. Her supposed to be romantic lunch date with her boyfriend turns out to be a disaster as her mind was still occupied by that unidentified call in her office. Just who could that be? She wanted to think that someone was just playing a prank on her but that nagging feeling won’t leave. Would there be someone randomly dial a number just to say those words? If that was the case, then out of millions of residents in Korea, why would it be her? 

Was that just a coincidence? She wanted to believe so.

A lot of things were swirling in her mind that she doesn’t know what should be on her top priority. First was the incident in the theater. She was still not done trying to figure that out. True, she already decided not to let that dwell on her mind. But even the smallest possibility that indeed, someone was following her just won’t let her have that peace of mind. Moreover, the unknown phone call will just add to the pile of thoughts that will make her sanity slip.

Were those two related? Or was it just her imagination working double time?

She doesn’t know what to believe. For the first time in her life, she wished she was just paranoid and that her thoughts were just products of watching too much suspense films.  

Theater. Foot steps. Dark alley. Phone call. You’re Mine.

“Babe…”

“H-huh?” Jiyong’s voice woke her up from the thoughts she was in. Startled, she immediately bolted her head to her side and was welcomed by her boyfriend’s worried look. “S-sorry, Ji. You were saying?”

“Your mind seems to be wondering somewhere else.” He creased his forehead. “You were like that since we leave your office building. Is something bothering you?”

Dara glance at the rearview mirror and saw Seunghyun eyeing her from it. After sometime, her driver nodded his head as if getting what she wanted to happen. She doesn’t want to bother Jiyong with those baseless stuffs that were consuming her mind. She was still not sure if the phone call was really meant for her or if someone was really following her so what’s the use of telling him? He tends to be overprotective with her and informing him about it might just worsen things.  

She glanced on her side and tried to give Jiyong a smile but she wasn’t sure if she succeeded. He took her hands and envelope them on his. Feeling the warmth brought by it somehow calmed her nerves. He placed his arms over her shoulder and slightly pulled her to let her head lean on his chest.

“I know something’s bothering you but I won’t push the topic if you really don’t want to talk about it.” She felt him kiss her hair and after that, loosens his hug on her to be able to look at her face. “How about dinner tonight? Maybe then you will feel better already.”

“Dinner sounds good.” For the first time that day, she smiled a genuine one. Jiyong can really take all her worries away. Dara immediately closed her eyes, anticipating a kiss when she saw Jiyong’s face descending to hers. She was sure he was going to kiss her but then…

“We’re here Ms. Park.”

Her eyes snapped open and saw Jiyong looking at Seunghyun. Or was he glaring at him? She was not sure for the next thing she knew, he was now facing her and caressing her cheeks. Her driver got down from the car and went to her side to open the door. When he did, Jiyong claimed her lips for a lingering kiss. As their lips touch, her mind instantly went blank. He made her knees melt, but his kiss was superb and she would not have it another way.

After sometime, when they both needed to gasp for air, her boyfriend ended the kiss and wipes the wetness of her lips with his thumb.

“Come on. Your office is waiting for you.” He smiled at her before getting out of the car. He went to her side even though Seunghyun was already there to open her door. When she also got out, a crease immediately formed on her forehead. Her driver was still in his non-committal self but Jiyong has a smug look on his face for reasons she’s not aware.

“I’ll be going now. I need to get back to work.” He said then wrapped his arms on her waist and faced Seunghyun. “Take care of my girlfriend for me.” she noticed the emphasis he gave on the word “girlfriend”
