The atmosphere in the car was silent and awkward. Jessica was driving while Yoona sat on the passenger seat beside her. Eunhyuk on the other hand sat at the back of the car.

Yoona had long noticed about the awkward atmosphere so she decided to on the radio in hope to decrease the awkwardness. An English song by Jason M’raz and Colbie Callait was played, Lucky. Hearing the song, Jessica startled and quickly she turned off the radio as Yoona was ready to sing along.

“Oh? Yah, wae?” The maknae asked, surprised by Jessica’s action.

“A… anhi.” She answered stammering and kept her eyes on the road. Yoona let out a breath as she stole a glance at Eunhyuk who was watching them.

Yoona turned the radio on again and the song was still playing. Jessica offed the radio back and glared at Yoona. “Don’t on the radio again! I hate that song.”

Yoona looked at Jessica with weird expression. “Mwoya?” she scoffed and wrapped her arms around her body. “If you don’t want to hear that song you should’ve just changed the channel.”

Jessica leered at Yoona again and let out a light breath. She hated that song, she hated that song since Donghae and she broke up. Lucky—lucky I’m in love with my best friend. She smirked. ‘What’s so lucky about it?’

The car turned silent again and it became more awkward. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of the car’s air heater.

“Woah, Seoul really looked busy tonight, keuchi?” Eunhyuk tried to break the silent. Yoona shifted her sight to him and smiled. “Mmm…”

“Oh, keunde…” He paused. “What are you guys doing at the party just now?”

“Someone invited Jessica Onnie, so we came.” Yoona answered shortly.

“Oh? So, Jessica, you are a businesswoman? That party is for the gathering of business partners, keuchi?” He asked again.

Jessica looked at him using the front mirror. “Oh… matda.” She answered.

He smiled. “Wah, can’t believe you’re all grown up now to have your own business.” He said, chuckling. Yoona chuckled too.

Jessica smiled and focused on the road again. “You were there too. So that means you have your own business, keuchi? What is it?”

“Oh?” Eunhyuk was a little uneasy to answer that question. He sighed. Should he tell Jessica the truth? “Actually, I was only companying my friend.”

Jessica and Yoona nodded their head.

For a second, Jessica thought that Eunhyuk will pop out Donghae’s name in the middle of their conversations. But it seemed like he didn’t. Why? Did their friendship ended too? Guess so, they were best buds.

The atmosphere in the car was now had lightened up. “Oh, Keure!” Eunhyuk had just remembered about the news he told Donghae. He’s not sure whether that news was true or not. Jessica was right in front of him, should he ask to know the truth? But he couldn’t say it straight away, she’ll know that he’d been stalking her.

“Umm, Oh, I just remembered… Sica ya, chukahae!” He finally congratulated, trying to be indirect. If Jessica said ‘thank you’ then it means that that news was true. But if she says ‘What?’ then it was only a rumor.

Jessica and Yoona exchange looks. “Oh, what chukahae?” Jessica asked.

‘Ha! It was only a rumor? Yeah! Good news for Donghae!’ he thought as he grinned to himself.

Jessica thought of the reason why he suddenly congratulated her. ‘Isanghae…’ she thought. “Oh! Matda!” He must’ve congratulated her because of her successful boutique. Starting form this month she’ll be working on a big project between her boutiqu, a well-known coffee shop and the finest hotel in Korea. Those three businesses. “Ah, Komawo, Sunbae ya~” She thanked. How could she forget about this?!

Eunhyuk was about to celebrate the misunderstanding when Jessica thanked him. “Chamkanman…” he paused. “So, it’s true?!”

Jessica smiled as she nodded her head. “O… Actually, no one was supposed to know about this. It’s a secret. But how did you find out?” she was curious.

“I saw it on the internet.” He said carefully. ‘Wah, can’t believe that rumor is true. I can’t let Donghae know I met Jessica after he knew about this. He’ll just hurt himself more.’

“Mmm… guess the rumors really spread fast. Hah, people can’t know before our press conference next week. Guess our effort to keep it a secret failed.” Jessica tried not to sound so awkward so she added a joke behind. But it was a cold joke so it didn’t make a different.

“Oh…” Eunhyuk chuckled, expressionlessly. “I’m so happy about it. Dashi chukahae.”

“Komawo.”

“Oh, stop, stop, stop.” He suddenly said as they’d arrived near his apartment.

“Wae? Wae?” Jessica slowed down the car. Yoona looked frightened.

“Just stop here. I can walk to my own apartment.” He said. “By the way, it’s not that far.”

“Just let us send you. Like you said it’s not that far.” Yoona answered.

“Ah, hehe, but…” he paused. Suddenly he felt something was wrong so that’s why he wanted them to drop him here. “Kwaenchana, jinjja kwaenchana. Just drop me here.” He insisted.

“Haisy, neo…” Jessica stole a glance at him as she stopped the car.

“Ah, Komawo, Komawo.” He bowed down his head. “Thank you for the ride. I really appreciate it.” He thanked again.

“You’re welcome.” Yoona answered.

“Take care, sunbae. See you again.” Jessica waved him a goodbye.

“Nae, kalke.” He walked out of the car and shut the door close. He waited for the car to drive off than he started to walk to his apartment.

He sighed. “Donghae ya, miyanhae… You’re too late, brother.”

As he was walking to his apartment, a familiar black Range Rover parked in front of the apartment. “Oh?” He startled. “Isn’t that Donghae’s car?” quickly, he ran closer and to his surprise, Donghae was leaning against his front car while staring to the night sky.

“Donghae ya!” Eunhyuk called. Donghae slowly shifted his sight to Eunhyuk and smiled as he saw the latter’s face. “Hyuk ah~”

“Yah, you’re drunk? Ah, wae?!” Eunhyuk quickly wrapped his arms around Donghae to lift him up. Donghae giggled as Eunhyuk helped him up on his feet. “Yah, how much did you drink?”

Donghae turned his face towards Eunhyuk and puckered his lips. “You know, Jessica cheated on me.” he said. Hearing that, Eunhyuk let out a heavy sigh. “So, this is about Jessica? Yah, just forget her alright. She’s someone else’s now. And she’s not cheating on you because you and her had nothing going on.”

Donghae stayed silent after Eunhyuk finished his words. “Kaja, I’ll bring you to my room. It’s lucky for you that I want you to stay with me tonight after you ditched me.”

Eunhyuk threw Donghae on his couch as they arrived in the room. Donghae fell on the couch face first and laid there didn’t move a muscle. Eunhyuk stretched his back and sighed. “Aigoo, if Jessica sees you like this for the first time what will she think? Aigoo…”

Donghae mumbled something but Eunhyuk didn’t give any attention to his words. “Wait, here. I’ll make you a tea. Haisy, you’re nothing but trouble. I can’t believe I am willing to be your friend.” He shook his head and went to the kitchen.

A couple of minutes later, he walked back to the living room with a cup of tea in his hand. He took a seat beside Donghae who was still lying like before. “Yah, palli ireona!” Eunhyuk helped Donghae lifted up his body. Donghae sat leaning on the couch. “Drink this.” Ordered Eunhyuk like a boss. Donghae took the teacup without protest. Slowly, he sipped the hot tea.

“Haisy, I don’t know how much that girl can do to you anymore.” Eunhyuk shook his head. “Where did you drink just now? Did you drunk drive?! Haisy, this kid… Yah!” Eunhyuk stood up on his feet and bit his lips. He felt really mad about Donghae drunk driving. Maybe, he was still traumatized about the big accident that happened with him a year ago and one of his hoobae, a really close one, were injured badly. He didn’t want the same thing to happen to Donghae.

“You sleep here tonight.” He pointed on the couch. “Bye! I wanna wash myself.” Stomping, he went to his bedroom.

Donghae sat there in the living room alone. Silent, not a word from him was heard. Suddenly, a tear rolled down from his eyes. A couple of seconds later, he was already crying and sobbing. His sobs could be heard clearly by Eunhyuk in his room but all that he could do was only listen and sighing.
