-No one’s POV-

Maci wobbled into the kitchen groggily while fixing her hair to a ponytail

Gasping and patting her chest to calm herself “What the heck are you still doing here?!”

Luhan shrugged “There’s no freaken way you’re getting rid of me that easily and why did you wake up so late?”

“Kris oppa kept texting and calling me last night…aigh that’s not the main point! Get out of here and stay in your own place!”

“I consider this once of my places to stay” Luhan retorted “you can’t just keep me and kick me out whenever you want”

“I never asked you to stay!”

“Why can’t I? You’re my girlfriend!”

“I’m not your real girlfriend! Why do you always say that?!”

“Are you that stupid? Or naïve that you can’t tell?”

“I’m not stupid! Stop being mean and go back to the dorm! The guys are probably wondering where you are”

“Even they know where I am! They know I’m here…because I like you!”

“Y-You!”

“I Like you okay?! I must be the stupid one…I confessed to you even though you like Kris”

“yeah you are the stupid one. I like Kris.”

 Luhan exhaled loudly to keep himself calm

“We get along well and have no language barriers because we speak the same languages. He’s kind and caring, he’s a very important person to me. He’s my family, my brother”

Luhan’s eyes glistened, hoping that theres still a chance

-Kris POV-

The door was slightly ajar

This girl needs to be more careful

 I peeked in ready to surprise Maci

Okay this is my chance! She said she needed to talk to me about something…what would she do if I suddenly confessed to her?

“I Like you okay?! I must be the stupid one…I confessed to you even though you like Kris”

Luhan? He confessed! That guy! UGHHH

“yeah you are the stupid one. I like Kris.”

Those words made me smile and caused my heart to pound even harder

“He’s my family, my brother, I couldn’t like him less or more, that is what he is to me”

My smile, heart, body…I could feel everything drop and my breath stolen away from me for what seemed like eternity

I crumbled to my knees, hoping and praying she wouldn’t return those three words to him

But no…instead she pecked him on the cheek before turning her back towards him

She faced me now with sadness wallowing in her eyes

“You are a good guy Luhan. You’ll find someone better. Liking me is probably a temporary thing anyway”

“Did you even listen to me?! I said I like YOU” Luhan exploded, pointing at her with a confused gaze

“But I don’t like you”

She’s lying…

 “You’re lying!”

Maci, herself, began to shrink “I don-”

Enraged, Luhan stomped in front of her, spontaneously he smashed his lips against hers

That’s cheating the contract! That son of a…! DAMMIT!

Maci protested by shoving him away “What are you doing?!”

I fought my boiling anger back, fists clenching and jaw tightening

“Proving that you like me!”

Maci said nothing and glared at him

Luhan was entranced by her gaze, I could see through it all, step by step he closed the distance between them

Dammit! I can’t watch this anymore!

My back now against the door, I peeled myself off the ground

He elevator doors slammed closed, but I had no destination and left the buttons untouched

“WHY! WAE!? Why is it that they always like Luhan better?!”

-Maci’s POV-

Even though I pushed him away he’s coming closer again

Every step he takes closer to me my heart beats louder

Good god Maci, Keep calm!

“move your arm! Don’t you dare corner me Lu Han!”

Of course Luhan the rebel wouldn’t listen to me

I inhaled his scent which I often missed

Gently this time, he placed his lips on mine

Entranced by this all, I kissed him back lightly before pulling away

“Luhan…I like you but-”

“that’s all I need! Be my girl. My real girlfriend”

“I can’t. I can’t do this right now. GO to practice Luhan I’m leaving”

“where?”

“School. it’s starting soon and I’m not prepared at all”

“I’ll take you”

“Don’t. I can manage by myself”

“What about anti-fans?”

“I said I’ll be fine, it’s been a while already, they’ll get over it. I’ll announce the breakup soon anyway”

“why would you do that!”

“Because in my little way, I want to protect things that are important to me. So don’t get in the way”

“Maci! Yah!” Luhan plopped on to the couch as the door shut behind me, both hands on each of his temple

Am I doing the right thing by keeping my promise to Yoonji?

The elevator doors slide open, revealing Kris who’s just standing there

“Gege I was just going to find you to talk”

“oh you…” he murmured under his breath

“can you help me find another apartment? A cheaper one far away from this building”

“why? don’t you like living here?”

“I’m planning to move out and when I do. I probably wont see you guys anymore”

“you’re leaving?! Why?”

“something came up”

“2 bombs in one day. What else are you going to drop on me?”

“I…”

“theres something else?” Kris groaned in frustration

“I will officially announce my breakup with Luhan. We have to end this sooner or later”

Kris stared at me with disgusted eyes “are you kidding me?”

The elevators rang at this moment and Kris stormed out right as the doors opened

I scoffed to myself “is my decision that wrong? Why is everyone getting mad at me?”

but i cant update weekly anymore cuz school is starting next week

WHOOT LAST YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL!
but i'll update when i can (but not this weekend...cuz of vacation in las vegas :D) LOL
