The Truth Behind Love[Paused]
....After 9 years....
EUN HEE's POV:
"Eun Hee-ya,prepare you speech..Good luck.."..My teacher said..I can't still believe that I'm the valedictorian of our class..
I'm going to tell it to my parents as soon as possible..
By the way,I'm going to explain everything to you..All the things that happened for the past 9 years..Sung Jo's parents sold
their farm and we've been thrown out from the farm by the new owner..Mr.Lee said that he will support the studies of their
worker's children..But the problem is,one child only from one family..But we are two..So my parents decided that Yoon Hee is
the one going to study at the private school..I really envy her..She always gets want she wants..My parents really like her..
They are just looking on Yoon Hee only and I don't get any attention anymore..
Sungmin left Busan to continue his studies on Seoul,just like Sung Jo..I don't have any news about him anymore since he left
Busan 8 years ago..I'm very sure that he is already grown into a man..I don't have any news about Sung Jo too..They don't have
relatives here so there is no one I can ask about him..
I entered our house..Mom is fitting a dress..It's not her usual dress..It's quite expensive..Where are they going??
"Oh,Eun Hee-ya,,you're here!!"
"Eomma,what is this??"
"I'm preparing for the graduation.."
"Eomma,our graduation is just simple,,you don't have to wear expiensive clothes anymore.."..Then her smile fades and it changes
to a worried expression.."Eun Hee-ya,mianhae,but your graduation date is the same as Yoon Hee's graduation date,I bought this
dress to wear for her graduation.."
"Ah,appa,what are you going to wear at my graduation??"
"I need to go to Incheon on that day,we have planting project.."
"Then who will go with me??"...They all become silent.."No one??"
"Mianhae Eun Hee-ya.."
"You even bought expensive clothes mom,just for Yoon Hee's graduation??Eomma!!"
"Eun Hee-ya,,it would be embarassing for the parents of Yoon Hee's classmates if I wear old and cheap clothes.."
"Are you sure you're not going to my graduation??"
"Why??If you want,just get your diploma and don't attend the graduation anymore.."
"Why will I not going to attend my graduation??The valedictorian should not disappear there.."..Then I enter our room and the same way,I
locked it..But Yoon Hee came in..
"How did you came in??"
"I have a key.."..Tsk..I should change the doorknob already..
"What do you want??"
"Congrats.."
"Congrats on what??"
"You are a valedictorian right??"
"So what??My parents would not even come.."
"Mianhae.."
"What is the use of your sorry??"
"Eun Hee-ya..It's been already 9 years since you've been like that to me..You've been cold.."
"Do you really want to know the real reason??"
She nodded..
"You steal everything to me.."
"Steal everything??Like what??"
"First,our parents' attention..The yalways take your side..They don't even look at me..Do you know what it feels??Second,you
know how much I want to go to that school and you still even go and study there even if you hate that school..You don't even
give up your opportunity and give it to me!!You even steal Sung Jo from me!!You are so selfish!!"
"You know Sung Jo too??"
"I know him before you knew him.."
"So,you are the girl he was talking about..He mistaken me as you.."
"Of course he would mistaken you because you even said you don't have siblings to stay with him.."
"Yoon Hee-ya,,it's been a long time,,can't we just forget about it?We can start again.."
"I don't think I can do that Yoon Hee..Even if we start again,we can't still forget the past.."..Then I go out of our room..
YOON HEE's POV:
I don't why Eun Hee is very mad at me..But at least now I know some of the reasons why she is mad at me..I want to do something
for her that she would really like,so she her hatred towards me melts a little..Eomma and Appa called me while Eun Hee is not
home..She go out for some walk after we talked inside our room..
"Yoon Hee-ya,,what school do you like to enter??"
"School??Waeyo??"
"University!!Where do you want??"
"Ah,eomma,appa..I don't want to study anymore.."
"Mwo??Yoon Hee-ya,,we send you to a good school then you are not going to a university??"
"Eomma,Appa,I'm sorry,but the truth is,I really don't want to enter that school..You are the one who sent me in.."
"Yoon Hee-ya.."
"You can just send Eun Hee to a university,,since she is a valedictorian,I'm just going to help you send her to school.."
"What if we just don't send either one of you to a university?Since Mr.Lee stop helping us..The help is just for highschool.."
"Please,eomma,appa,do it for me..Just send Eun Hee to a university..She dreamt of it..But I haven't dream of going to a
university,I don't have the confidence to face many people..I don't have confidence as much as Eun Hee has..Please,,eomma,,
appa,try to be fair,you send me to a good school,so now you send her to a university,so sweet and caring Eun Hee some back.."
They are just silent..
I go out for some walk..Eomma and Appa is talking to Yoon Hee..Even though I want to go to a university,and go to Seoul for
the first time..But I think this is the only way so Eun Hee won't think that I steal everything away from her..Maybe it is
true,,I understand her..If I were in her place too,I would be mad and get jealous..Her one and only dream is to study on
Myungji University,and I don't want to steal away the opportunity from her again..I want the sweet,caring,and kind Eun Hee to
come back and be my bestfriend and twin again..I miss her laugh and smile with me..Even though we can't play anymore,I just
want to have some time with her..
But this thing keeps on bothering my mind..It's all because of Sung Jo..If I don't agree to be his friend,these things would
not happen..I hope he won't come back here anymore..I don't want to meet him..Even Eun Hee..Because of him,Eun Hee got mad at
me thinking that I stole her friend..But it's not true..I don't know that they know each other..But now I know why is Sung Jo
acting that way when we first met..He thinks that I am Eun Hee..
On graduation day,I told mom that I don't feel good and pretend to be sick so they would just attend Eun Hee's graduation..
Before they leave,,Eun Hee go inside our room..
"You know that I don't say thank you right??"
"I know.."
"Well,we are about to leave,you can stand up there and stop pretending you are sick.."
"You know it??"
"You are still my twin,I know what you feels..I know that you are just pretending to be sick.."
"I know how much the graduation is important to you Yoon Hee..I don't have any awards to get but you have..So I think eomma
should just attend your graduation.."
"Very well..We will be late..We're going.."
I nodded..She doesn't say thank you..And I know that..But her eyes clearly says that she is very thankful,and I'm happy for
that..Even though I've been waiting to come up the stage and get my diploma,I decided to give my opportunity to Eun Hee..She
is not the only one who feels it,,I feel it too,,I feel that I'm stealing everything away from her..
I go out and go to market for a while I want to cook something for Eun Hee since it's her graduation day..As a congratulation
gift..
SUNG JO's POV:
I arrived at Busan..Yeah you're right guys,,I'm going to look for Yoon Hee..
I go to our farm;which is not ours anymore;The farm is already private and big and tall bushes covers the mansion..I miss this
place..But I still need to go and look for Yoon Hee since I need to go home early..I already asked many people but no one knows
where they are living now..I want to find her and keep my promise that she would be my one and only friend..I already walk for
many hours and I don't even see any houses..Then I saw a child and ask him is she knows Park Yoon Hee..He bring me to Yoon Hee's
house and then he left running..I shout and shout and shout and shout and keeps on shouting Yoon Hee's name,but no one answers.
Is she not here??Then an ajumma ask me..
"Are looking for Yoon Hee??"
"Oh,yes,,is this were she lives??"
"Yeah,but she is not there right now..I saw her go out,today is her graduation..I think they will come back later.."
"Ah,yes,,thank you.."
"What is your name??"
"I'm Lee Sung Jo.."
"Your name is handsome like you..I'm just going to tell her that someone dropped by here and is looking for her.."
"Ah,,ne,,Thank you halmeoni!!"..Then halmeoni left..
I don't have choice but to leave Busan..Mom called me a while ago and told me to come back now..Maybe I should head back now..
EUN HEE's POV:
Eomma and me come back home but Yoon Hee is not here..Where in the world did she go??I thought she was prentending to be sick
then now she missing..What is she trying to do??Then our neighbor come near to me..
"Yoon Hee-ya,someone dropped by here and is looking for you.."..tsk..she mistaken me as Yoon Hee..
"Ah,geuraeyo??Who is he??"
"Lee...Lee..Sung Jo.."
"Lee Sung Jo??"..I am totally shocked that Sung Jo is here..Wait,did they saw each other??That's why she is not here..??
"Ah,okay,,gomawoyo halmeoni.."..Luckily,Yoon Hee arrived..She smiled at me..
"Where did you go??"..I said while folding my arms...
"I go to market,I'm going to cook something delicous for you..Come on.."
She cooked..She served it to us and then we started eating..The food tastes good..I don't know that Yoon Hee knows how to cook.
I don't know why but my hatred for her melts a little..just a little..It fades easily..Why??Is it because she is my sister??
I don't think so..I stopped thinking non sense and just continue on eating..
SUNG JO's POV:
I arrived a home..as usual,my 15 year old and 16 yeard old younger sisters come to me and hugged me..Oh,they are really sweet..
"Oppa..have you found her??"..Suzy said..
"No..I didn't.."
"What??Go back..Maybe she just go somewhere.."
"If we are really fated to be,god will make a way for us to meet.."
"God??Are you saying god??Oppa,you must be sick.."..Then Suzy touched my forehead..
"Do you like her that much??And you can even say God..You don't even go to church with us.."
"Haiizzt,,shut up!!I'm tired from walking and walking and walking and walking and walking and walking...I'm going to rest first."
