NARRATOR

Baekhyun’s face was full of emotions right now, and he just wanted to reach the top of the damn building fast. His mind was running fast with him, thoughts like a slideshow.

He repeatedly pressed the button in the elevator. When it finally opened, he ran inside, not bothering to look at the people curiously watching him. Sweat rolled down his forehead, down his face. He didn’t even bother to wipe it.

“Hyung!” Sehun beamed wheh he saw Baekhyun run past them. They looked at him curiously as he bolted to the rooftop’s door.

“Wait, you’re interrupti—“ Kai called after him, but the door slammed closed. The guys curiously looked at each other.

Baekhyun searched the whole area, but he didn’t see you. He ran to the railings and held his breath.

“Minhee!” He screamed, worried. He looked around, and his eyes landed at you, sitting on the cement, gripping the chair. Your eyes were shut, tears and sweat streamed down your face. You were having a hard time breathing.

“Minhee.” He whispered, kneeling beside you. Slowly, your lids trembled as they opened. You hurriedly pulled Baekhyun and hugged him.

“Opp..Oppa. Pl..please get me out of here.” You stammered, trying to calm yourself. But, the sight of the view frightened you even more. You shut your eyes closed again.

Baekhyun exhaled as you opened your eyes. He was stunned that you grabbed him, but he didn’t hesitate to carry you.

Carefully, he slid his hands on the back of your knees and on your back. Your grip on his neck was weak. He gazed at your troubled and sick face and hurriedly went inside.

“What happened?” Suho worriedly looked at you and opened a door that led to a room. The building was a hotel, and they booked a room where they prepared stuff earlier.

Baekhyun kicked the door to open it widely and slowly placed you on the bed. He wiped the tears and sweat from you face. D.O. came rushing beside you with a glass of water.

You slowly took it and drank. You smiled a little. “Thanks, Oppa.”

Baekhyun smiled back at you. He tucked a lock of your hair behind your ear and your cheek. You were too tired to react. Your heart was still recovering its normal pace.

“Rest for a while, okay?” He said before pulling all the guys out of the room. They followed willingly.

“What happened, exactly?” Kai asked, his eye brows knitted together. The other guys listened intently.

“She’s afraid of heights. Phobia, most probably.” Baekhyun sat down and pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Omo, we didn’t know!” Sehun gasped. The door burst open and Chanyeol was gasping for air.

“Is she alright?” He asked.

“She’s resting. She broke down.” Baekhyun answered him, still shutting his eyes. He was relieved you were fine now.

The guys felt gulit creeping up to them. “Seriously, we didn’t know…” D.O. muttered.

“You could’ve told me, right?” Baekhyun whispered. They looked away, knowing he was right. If maybe they told Baekhyun what the plan was, he could’ve made things right.

“Sorry. It was my plan.” Kai breathed out. Baekhyun stood up and patted his back.

“You guys didn’t know. Don’t blame yourselves.” Baekhyun assured them, but still it bothered them.

“We’re sorry, Minhee.” Suho lowered his head and whispered. The guys already brought you home to the villa, and all of you were clustered in the living room. The sun was already saying its goodbye.

The other guys couldn’t look at you straight. They were either fiddling, or looking away.

“It’s okay Oppas. You didn’t know.” You smiled, but still they hesitated to smile back. The atmosphere was gloomy. Even Baekhyun felt bad.

“Ya, why the long faces? We should be happy! I’m fine, okay? And I’m not mad. I’m even happy and touched you guys prepared that beautiful feast for me. Thank you!” You beamed.

“Yeah, but we almost killed you.” Sehun muttered. The guys looked down.

You sighed and stood up. “You guys didn’t know, okay? And besides, we should not spoil what you guys prepared, right? It’s not too late.” You approached each on of them and gave them a hug. They hugged back, still bothered.

With a big smile on your face, you went to the kitchen to open the sweets they prepared. You didn’t want them to feel bad, and you wanted to see them smile so badly. The atmosphere was surely not normal.

They slowly followed you to the kitchen. You took the cake out of the box and smiled at its beauty. It sure looked appealing. D.O. approached you, and you quickly wiped cake icing on his face.

His eyes widened, stunned. Imagine his eyes were already wide enough, and widening it more was  worse. You just giggled and stuck your tongue out.

The guys also looked surprised. D.O hesitated, but seeing you flee away, he dipped his finger on the cake and pursued you.

The others felt their lips smile and also did the same, running after you.

The icing war began.

Icing filled your faces, arms and even shirts. Sehun’s hair was sticking out with the sweet cream. Kai looked like he applied icing as foundation. D.O. had icing on his eyebrows. Suho's face can barely be seen. Baekhyun looked really funny with icing hearts all over his face. Chanyeol... 

“HAHAHAHAHAHA! THAT DERP FACE SMEARED WITH ICING!” You clutched your stomach, pointing at Chanyeol. The guys looked at him and laughed with you.

Kai was icing on his fingers. “This tastes so much better when used in a war.” He snickered.

“It tastes so much better when we’re happy!” You grinned. They softened and looked at you.

*She really is different.* Baekhyun smiled. This time, the others agreed with him.

You are truly unique.

They smiled with contented hearts. Sehun sneaked to the kitchen to open another cake. All eyes bolted to his direction, as sly smiles filled the room.

"Part twooooooooo!" Sehun dipped his fingers on the cake, while the others ran for their lives.
