“I can’t continue to live like this anymore!”

“I’ve put you and everyone through too much. I can’t forgive myself!”

“None of this would have happened if it wasn’t for me. Just end it now!”

Her screams echoes through the night as they stood in front of each other, her eyes staring at him, pleading for him to just end her life, free her of her tormented soul. She pleaded to him over and over again, screaming to the top of her lungs. She just couldn’t handle this guilty conscience of her anymore. Too much pain has been brought on by her wrong doings. This was her way of getting out, without the guilt plaguing her after death, to have the one person that she has caused the most pain to end it.

His eyes blur with tears as he points that metal barrel at her, the grip on the gun tighter as he gaze upon her. Seeing her in a state of torment tortured him to no end. Her broken down state clenched his aching heart. The tears flowing down her porcelain face gripped his heart. How could he even think of pointing this gun in his hand at her, his one true love? Is love supposed to be this difficult? Is love supposed to be this painful? Is love supposed to be filled with so much torture? What happened to love conquers all?! Her cries for him to end it shattered his soul to pieces.

“Please, if you love me, pull that trigger. End my misery.” She pleaded to him one last time. The tears continuing to cascade down her cheeks.

“…if you love me…” Those simple words pierced through him like it has never before. How could a moment like this be associated with that wonderful word that he has grown to accept and embrace because of her?

This was how she wanted it. This was how she wanted to end it. Let him relieve the hatred she knows he has for her to be freed. This was the one last thing she could do for him, her one last act of undying devotion and unconditional love for him.

People say, when faced with death, your life flashes before your eyes. She can be a testament to this saying as her mind begins to replay all the important events of her life, the dominant memories of how she wants to remember her life, all of which revolving around him.

Everything that has happened to her began with him and he will be the one to end it.
