Recipe 002-Omurice Part 1
I Loved You on a Sunday Afternoon
EXO’s dorm was empty. They are probably in the practice room by now. Shin yeong had arrived extra early to
prepare breakfast for them, but it seems that they have all left. Even Mr. Grumpy wasn’t in his room. She
headed for the kitchen and placed her bag on the marble counters. Today was Tuesday or as Shin yeong liked to
call it, “Rice day”. Many dishes filled Shin yeong’s mind as she prepped the rice and the rice cooker.
Kimchi fried rice. Or maybe kimbap. No no no those are too simple. Shin yeong wanted to impress her bosses.
Not like she hadn’t already. There was just one particular person who wasn’t all to ecstatic. Kyungsoo was his
name. Shin yeong had learned of his identity thanks to the dedicated world wide web. She had been pondering
why his behavior toward her was so nasty. He didn’t seem to have one ounce of interest in Shin yeong’s
cooking. She wasn’t the kind to bother about one’s like or dislike in her, but when it came to her cooking, she
was dying for him to at least say something about it. She just wanted to hear one word. It could have been the
most craziest insult, but she wouldn’t care.
“Omurice, it is.” With just one sentence, she began her routine of collecting the ingredients. There were many
different variations of omurice. Japanese or Korean style. She liked them both. She wanted to go all out, but when
has she not?
The sizzling sound of vegetables being fried filled the room. Shin yeong had jullienning them and began working on
the chicken. cut. nice and tender. She grinned from ear to ear. He’s going to finally say something after he
eats this! Definitely!
The omurice was now done at a level where she was certain that she hadn’t reached before. Actually, she was just
glad she remembered to take it off the fire before it burned. A chuckle slipped from as she laughed at
herself. She was glad Mr. Grumpy wasn’t here or he would’ve been shooting darts at her with his eyes.
Having made enough for all six boys, she carefully packed each one of them an individual bento. Inside was the
omurice, steamed vegetables, and a little container for some ketchup. When she was done packing the bentos into a
large bag, Shin yeong hastily dashed out the door and hopped on the train to head over to the S.M. building where
the boys were at. It took her a while to find it because the building wasn’t exactly near the station. She had to stop
a couple of locals to ask for directions. They had all stared at her like she was some crazy foreign tourist hoping to
find her favorite idol, but they gladly pointed they way. Her breathing was short and quick because of they
attempted run she had done to get to the building. Her small, soft hands pushed the door open, and she strolled over
to the receptionist.
“Hi, how can I help you?” Shin yeong didn’t exactly know how to describe herself. Would she introduce herself as
EXO’s chef or....Thankfully, Suho happened to pass by.
“Noona, she’s here for EXO. You know, the chef Kai’s been talking about?” Suho beamed at the shy girl standing in
front of him. He was always the caring one.
“Ahh. It was nice meeting the new chef they’ve been talking about. Please follow Suho.” With a nod, the
receptionist gave her the okay, and her feet shuffled to keep up with Suho’s pace. He sure did walk fast.
First part of the two because I couldn't fit it into one. I have many exams so it might take a while for me to update. Hope you enjoyed this sorta long one. Hehe. :) I seriously at writing. Oh, I'll update with a picture of the recipe later. Right now, I'm too lazy.
