Foreword: They had been enemies as long as they could remember, ever since they were children and when Jonghyun stole Key's Hello Kitty watch and Key broke his bike in retort... so how did it get to this?

Kim Kibum better known as Key, the resident diva, strutted though the school. That's right, strutted, the world was his catwalk baby. Behind him, his best friend of forever Lee Taemin walked shyly trying hard not to get any attention, Key might like it but he did not thank you very much. It embarrassing to be stared at even if people were admiring or even envying you for either your good looks, fashion sense or your popularity and in the case of them two, well they had it all.

Kim Jonghyun, local heartthrob, scoffed at the sight of Key who acting like a male model again and leaned back comfortably on his locker to continue talking to his best friend since forever, Choi Minho, who laughed at his joke. Trying to ignore all their constant supply of (stalkers) fangirls who had laughed along at the punchline even though half had not even understood the joke. Yes, they were just as handsome and popular as Key and Taemin, though their reasons to be popular were slightly different.

You see Kim Jonghyun was in the soccer team and could sing like an angel attracting girls like flies, he was also funny, charming and cute like a puppy. Choi Minho was the captain of the soccer team who had won plenty of games for the school, he was polite, handsome though a bit quiet compared to Jonghyun. Key was the -kitten of the school, flirtatious, y and wanted by all it was hard to believe that cute, innocent, piano playing Taemin could be friends with him... that is until you saw Taemin dance. If dirty had legs and could dance that would be Taemin. But it was really Taemin's adorableness that attracted people to him.

They had all met one another in Kindergarten, Key had been dressing up his blond Ken doll in a bright pink jacket which it seemed he borrowed off Barbie and some black jeans he had cut with scissors (and been scolded for) to make Ken look as if he was wearing ripped jeans which he thought Barbie would like. Taemin who had been lonely playing cafe seeing as the only person who would play with him (seeing as he liked buying chicken from Taemin's fake cafe) had been ill that day, had decided to ask if he could be Barbie really shyly. Key had been overjoyed and hurriedly began instructing Taemin how to co-ordinate Barbie's outfit according to colour and Ken's. They had plenty of fun that day and Taemin began tagging along after and playing with Key ever since. The boy who played cafe with Taemin joined in after he got better, making his chicken plushie kidnap Barbie so that Ken could save her.

Minho and Jonghyun had met when Jonghyun had found Minho crying in the corner of the class room because he had lost his frog plushie, Jonghyun having been taught to share since an early age and feeling his responsibility as the hyung had gave his dinosaur plushie to Minho to hug whilst he helped look for the frog plushie holding Minho's hand to make sure his dongsaeng did not get lost in the big classroom. They had found it and Minho had followed Jonghyun like a duckling did its mother duck ever since but Jonghyun had not been that responsible ever since. Such as when they had met Key and Taemin, Jonghyun had been anything but responsible then.

Taemin and Key had been  painting pictures at the Kindergarten's mini art table. Key was painting a cat in pink clothes (he had sort of an obsession over pink at this time as well as cats hence his Hello Kitty school bag, drinks bottle, lunch box pencil case and matching pencils), Taemin had been painting banana milk. Minho had noticed the paints and pleaded Jonghyun to allow him to go join him, which he did.

The two boys already painting ignored the two newcomers to their table too engrossed in their paintings to care. Well that was until Jonghyun decided it'll be fun to flick some paint on their paintings and give the cat a make over via green spots. Key gave an outraged cry and looked up to glare at the culprit. Once spotting the paintbrush in Jonghyun hands, he stood up and walked over to him with (pink) paint tipped paintbrush still in hand. He deliberately ran the paintbrush down Jonghyun's face painting a pink line.

"Now we're even." and that was that. They only really became enemies when they started proper classes of adding and stuff.

Key was showing off his new Hello Kitty watch to his admiring classmates when Jonghyun had decided it would be funny to steal it. Key had not said anything for a while worrying Taemin who knew Key was going to do something evil by the look on his face. He was going to warn Key not to do anything too bad but he was distracted by the boy who hung around with him and Key offering to teach him how to draw chickens and agreed to do that forgetting about Key.

"That bike in the playground with the dogs on it is yours right?" Key asked seemingly innocent, Jonghun just nodded confused at the question. Key left the room but soon returned with handlebars in his hand.

"I broke your bike, now give me my watch before I break something else of yours."

They had fought like cat and dog ever since and were enemies even to this day making sure to try and ruin one another's day.

Over musing over his hate of Key, Jonghyun had not noticed Onew until he was pulled into a bear hug by the chicken loving maniac.

"Yah! Hyung, what is that for! Besides you're not allowed any hugs because you're hanging out with my arch nemisis, you traitor!" Jonghyun said pushing Onew away who pouted and asked Minho for a hug who gladly complied.

"Technically I'm betraying Key as I was their friends first." Onew said, Jonghyun smiled.

"Well that's okay then." He said cheerfully, Minho and Onew groaned.

"Don't you think you two should grow up and try to make friends, you go together nicely." Minho said, Jonghyun looked at him as if he had just told him that he was pregnant with his dog.

"You're kidding me right? Pupposaur is sitting next to me in art!" Key yelled gaining the attention of everyone around him, Taemin sighed.

"I'm sure he's nice once you get to know him, he can't be that bad." Taemin said trying to reason with Key, who frowned.

"You're just happy you get to sit next to Onew." Key said, smiling how Taemin's face lit up at the mere mention of Onew's name.

"Maybe." Taemin said grinning. Key ruffled Taemin's hair and entered the art classroom to see only Jonghyun and Onew in there, maybe they were early? He did not catch the wink between Onew and Taemin. Jonghyun glared at Key who glared back.

"Have you seen the teacher or anyone else yet?" Onew asked, Taemin shook his head.

"Should I go check?" He asked, Onew nodded and stood up.

"I'll go with you." and so they left leaving Key and Jonghyun alone in the art room. Suddenly they heard the sound of the lock clicking in the door and they ran to it realising that Onew and Taemin had locked them together in the room. They looked despairingly at one another.

"What do we do now?" Jonghyun whispered, Key frowned.

"I guess we can talk..." Key said thinking of what Taemin had said about Jonghyun not being that bad. Jonghyun stared at him in shock, they had never just talked before. He clenched his trousers legs in his hands waiting for Key to start an argument.

"Fine, let's talk." Jonghyun said coldly, Key blinked.

"Um... well I like singing but I also enjoy rapping and dancing." Key began nervously, making Jonghyun raise an eyebrow. Key sang? He never knew that about him, let alone that they shared a hobby.

"Really? What music do you like?" They continued to talk like that, finding out they had quite a lot of similar interests in a lot of things.

"I can't see why we aren't friends..." Jonghyun said eventually, Key scoffed.

"Well I can." Key said "I hate the way you never take responsibility." He said, Jonghyun's eye twitched.

"Well I hate the way you over exaggerate everything and act if every single thing wrong is oh so terrible!" Jonghyun said annoyed now but his voice still low.

"I hate the way you always judge me for whatever I do!" Key said loudly, his voice raising in anger.

"I hate how everything must go your way, never no one elses." Jonghyun yelled.

"I hate the way you think you are so better than everyone else!"

"I hate the way you don't care who you hurt!" Jonghyun practically screamed picking up a red paint bottle and flinging some of the paint onto Key, some striking his face and covering his lips, Key grabbed a blue paint bottle and squirted it down Jonghyun's forehead.

"I hate the way your voice makes my heart flutter!" Key yelled, Jonghyun took a step closer.

"I hate the way your lips and the way you swing your hips tease me so!" Jonghyun screamed, Key brought his hand forcefully to Jonghyun's chin.

"Let's make purple." Without any more encouragement Jonghyun's lips were upon Key's kissing roughly.

"See I told you they were just ually frustrated with each other." Onew said wisely, Taemin nodded and continued to look at the make out session of the newly formed JongKey.

"But this was my idea though." Taemin said, Onew smirked.

"Do you want to know who else is ually frustrated?" Onew asked, Taemin turned to him curiously.

"Who, hyung?" Taemin asked, Onew replied by slamming him into the door and kissing him, hard.

"Me."
