Rose was about to go down to dinner when her phone rang. It was Bang. They had exchanged numbers a few days earlier, it was easier than locker notes and "accidental" meetings in the practice room.

 

Rose (answering the phone): You'd better have something important to tell me. I was about to go eat, and I'm really hungry.

 

Bang: I need to see you.

 

Rose: Did I mention I was really hungry?

 

Bang: Meet me at my dorm then, we'll cook dinner for one more person. 

 

Rose: Why?

 

Bang: You mentioned you were really hungry. 

 

Rose: I mean why do you want to see me! 

 

Bang: I have something to show you, well for you to listen to actually. 

 

Rose: Why can't it wait tomorrow?

 

Bang: Because I want you to be the first person to listen to it.

 

Rose: Euh..

 

Bang: Come on, I'll let you play with Zelo!

 

Rose: Cool! Where's your dorm?

When Rose arrived, Himchan was just arriving at the dorm too. She knocked, he said hi, and stayed in front of the door, chatting with her. 

 

Himchan: Is he opening already?!

 

Rose: Himchan-ssi… why are you staying in front of your own dorm waiting to be invited in? 

 

Himchan: Oh right! Woah.. I must be tired!! 

 

Rose laughed and Himchan let her in. 

 

Himchan: Yah! Bang Yongguk! Your girlfriend is here! 

 

Bang: Don't talk to your Hyung like that! Hey Rose! 

 

Himchan: You're only older by a month.

 

Bang: Still. It's called respect towards the elders.

 

Himchan: And you're not denying anything! I knew you two were together!! 

 

Jongup (entering the living-room): You are?! And you didn't tell me?! 

 

Rose: Ani, ani, we're not!! Why would you think that?!

 

Himchan: Because you act and look like you are. 

 

Jongup: And it would be perfect! 

 

Bang: Shut up!! Come on Rose.

 

Himchan and Jongup didn't shut up, but Bang ignored them, took Rose's hand and led her to his room. When they were alone, he apologized for his friends' behavior. 

 

Rose: It's okay. 

 

Bang: Don't mind what they're saying, okay?

 

Rose: Hum, alright.. So, what did you want me to listen to?

 

Bang: A song I wrote for our comeback. I need your opinion about it before sending it to the producers tomorrow. 

 

Rose: Woah, seriously?! But we haven't been friends for long enough! 

 

Bang: I didn't know there was a right time to make your friend listen to your song. 

 

Rose: There isn't, but.. why me?

 

Bang: Because I trust your judgement. 

 

Rose: Okay.. Thank you. 

 

Bang (smiling): I just need to make a few changes, you can.. look around while I do that, I guess. 

 

Rose: Okay, cool! 

 

Bang put on his headphones and Rose sat on his bed. His room was neat and mirrored his personality. It seemed like it was a very important place to him and Rose was flattered to be allowed in there. She noticed a print of Picasso's Guernica near the bed, picked it up and was still looking at it when Bang finished. He sat next to her and she jumped in surprise. 

 

Bang: Woah, sorry! 

 

Rose: It's okay, I was just lost in my thoughts. 

 

Bang: I saw that. 

 

Rose: Do you like Picasso?

 

Bang: Not particularly, I only know his most famous paintings. But I've always loved Guernica, it actually inspired me the song you're about to listen to. Do you?

 

Rose: I do. I saw Guernica in real life, that does something to a person, you know?

 

Bang: Yes,  you're very lucky! How was it?

 

Rose: Huge! I loved it. 

 

Bang: I wish I could see it. You should take me someday. 

 

Rose: Euh.. okay.. 

 

Bang: Are you okay? 

 

Rose: Yeah..

 

Bang: Is it what the guys said? 

 

Rose: It is. It made me wonder, what are we, in fact? They're right, we've been acting more and more like a couple. 

 

Bang: I don't think we do. We're just good friends, aren't we?

 

Rose: I guess we are. No feelings. 

 

Bang: Nope. 

 

Rose: Anyways, are you going to let me listen to this song or not?

Rose: Yeah, I like it, but I also loved it with your voice singing on it.

 

Bang: The boys are better singers than I am. But I'm glad you like it. 

 

Rose: They're really talented, but you're very good too! Your voice is just great, it has something special.

 

While Bang and Rose were eating together, so he could make her listen to the finalized version of Power, Chanyeol, Minhyo, Kris and Minrin entered the cafeteria, trying to find a place to sit at. 

 

Minrin: Let's go with Pilsuk and Jason!

 

Kris: Doesn't it look like they're having something private?

 

Minrin: What about Rose and Yongguk Oppa?

 

Kris: Well I kind of have the same feeling about them. 

 

Minrin: Either the teachers or the popular annoying people then. 

 

Chanyeol: Let's go outside! 

 

They sat on the grass, where Chen actually was. 

 

Chen: Hey guys! Where's Heejin?

 

Minhyo: She had to talk to Jongup, so it's just the four of us and now you!

 

Chen: Sorry to interrupt your double date then! 

 

Chanyeol: Han? 

 

Minhyo: We're not a couple!!! We don't even like each other!

 

Kris: Right, and I'm a very short man. 

 

Minhyo: I guess you're good at hiding it then.

 

Chanyeol: Yup. We really are just friends! 

 

Kris: You sneak out at night to meet each other! 

 

Minhyo: It was just that one time!! 

 

Minrin: Guys, they're right, after all, we all know who Minhyo likes anyways!

 

Chen: Oh who?

 

Chanyeol: Well Yoo..

 

Zelo (jumping on Minrin): NOONAAAAAAA!!!!!

 

Minrin: Hey Zelo!! 

 

Zelo: Daehyun Hyung, Youngjae Hyung, Himchan Hyung and me are eating with you today. 

 

Minrin: Cool! 

 

The guys said hi to everyone and Chen started talking again.

 

Chen: So Chanyeol, who were you talking about? 

 

Minhyo: His best friend! He's really really nice!

 

Chen: So Minhyo, the person you like is that Byun Baekhyun?! 

 

Chanyeol: No it's not! She likes him but we all know that she's in..

 

Minhyo: Anyways, I'm going to go buy a smoothie, someone wants one?

 

Youngjae: I do, I'll come with you.

 

With the blush and goofy smile that appeared on Minhyo's face, Chen had no doubts on who Minhyo liked anymore.

Jongup was too flustered to look where he was looking, and bumped into Rose. 

 

Jongup: Oh my, Rose, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?

 

Rose: I'm fine, don't worry! But.. you look weird, are you okay?

 

Jongup: Yeah not really?

 

Rose: Do you want to talk about it?

 

Jongup: Aren't you Bang Hyung's friend?

 

Rose: I am, but I can be yours too, if you need someone to talk to. 

 

Jongup: That'd be really nice of you, thank you. 

 

Rose: Come on, then! 

 

They sat in a park near the TS building. 

 

Rose: So, what's going on? 

 

Jongup: You know Heejin, right? 

 

Rose: Yes, we're close.

 

Jongup: Okay, well, we've been best friends for quite a long time, and now it's all very weird. 

 

Rose: What do you mean? 

 

Jongup: We tell each other everything, obviously, so she came to eat with me today because she had to tell me something that was bothering her. 

 

Rose: Which was? 

 

Jongup: Well.. she thinks she likes me..

 

Rose: Oh, and do you like her back?

 

Jongup: I don't really know, there's something, of course, she's really great and beautiful, and I do think about her a lot, but I just couldn't date her. And it's not like she asked anyways, she just told me that she liked me. 

 

Rose: She just said that and left?

 

Jongup: Basically, yes. 

 

Rose: That's one weird situation.

 

Jongup: It is! What am I supposed to tell her? 

 

Rose: The truth, I guess. That you may have feelings too but that your friendship is more important to you. That's what you think, right?

 

Jongup: It is, she's my best friend. That may be a start to a great relationship sometimes but here, I don't know, I just don't feel it, I'd rather preserve our friendship. 

 

Rose: Yeah.. friendship is more important, especially when you haven't really figured out your feelings yet. 

 

Jongup: It is, thanks a lot Rose, for helping me clear things out. 

 

Rose just smiled and got lost in her thoughts.
