[Camera opens to the familiar set of "Return of Superman," where the audience eagerly awaits the day's adventure, greeted by familiar MC hosts.The scene opens with Jiyong sitting at the kitchen table, flipping through a parenting book, a look of determination on his face. His daughter, Jiyeon, is playing with her toys nearby, oblivious to what’s to come.]

MC Host: “Welcome to the Return of Superman, where celebrity dads take on the challenge of solo parenting! Today, we join Jiyeon's family, who's facing every parent's dilemma: the dreaded dentist appointment.”

Jiyong: “Alright, how hard can this be? I've got this.” He mutters to himself whilst looking up, catching Jiyeon's eye. He puts on his best reassuring smile.

Jiyong: “Hey, Jiyeon-ah, guess what we have today?”

Jiyeon who perks up, her eyes wide with curiosity, asks “What is it, Appa?”

Jiyong stood in the doorway, a mix of determination and hesitation etched on his face. He glanced at his daughter, Jiyeon, who was playing with her toys, blissfully unaware of the impending challenge. Taking a deep breath, Jiyong summoned his best attempt at keeping the surprise under wraps.

"It's a special adventure! We're going to..." He hesitated, his mind racing to find the perfect euphemism. "...a magical place!" He winced inwardly, realizing the weight of his words. The dentist's office hardly fit the description of a fairy-tale land in Jiyeon's mind. How would he soften the blow for her without making her upset?

“Is it really magical, appa?” Jiyeon questions, showing of signs of skepticality.

Jiyong: “Absolutely! It's where they make sure your teeth are as shiny as stars in the sky!”

[Jiyeon's face instantly falls, she grips Bear; her teddy, tighter.]

Her voice trembles as she pleads “Nooo, not the teeth doctor! I don't want to go, Appa!”

Jiyong, with a heart as soft as his megawatt smile, fights an internal battle. His daughter's pleading eyes and quivering lips threaten to melt his resolve. He knows all too well the echoes of Taeyeon's expressions in Jiyeon’s. The cameras catch the subtle struggle on Jiyong's face. He's a superstar on stage, commanding arenas with his charisma, but in this moment, he’s just a father confronted with his daughter’s fear.

[The cameras switch to the scene Jiyong navigating the streets of Manhattan with his charming 5-year-old daughter, Jiyeon in their car. The father-daughter duo was on a mission – much to Jiyeon's reluctance.]

Jiyeon: [Her voice tinged with worry] “But I don’t want to go! The teeth doctor is so scary!”

"But Jiyeon, it's a fun teeth doctor! You'll see!" Jiyong tried his best to convince his daughter, his voice infused with an optimistic tone as if he were the dental ambassador for all things enjoyable. Undeterred by her doubt, Jiyong pressed on, summoning his most persuasive dad voice. "And you know what? Mom always has a special trick to make it super easy and fun!"

Jiyeon’s eyes widen at the mention of her mom’s magical solution, her curiosity piqued and asked what her Eomma’s special trick was. Racking his brain for a solution, Jiyong rubs the back of his neck, searching for the right words.“Well, uh, eomma usually... sings! Yes, she sings your favorite song and everything feels better!”

“Can you sing like eomma?” Jiyeon asks looking  intrigued but still unsure.

His eyes widen in a momentary panic, knowing he can’t quite match his wife's vocals. “Oh, um, well... I’m not as good as mommy, but how about this?" he stammered, his confidence taking a temporary leave of absence. Taking a deep breath, he delved into the depths of his memory, dredging up the faint echoes of a nursery rhyme he'd heard his wife sing to Jiyeon. "gom se-ma-ri-ga han-jib-e is-seo a-ppa-gom, eom-ma-gom-,” 

The 5 year old bursts into giggles, and finishes the lyrics “...ae-gi-gom”. Joining in on the laughter, Jiyong feels a sigh of relief knowing that her baby was okay.. well, at least for now. As they pull up to the dentist's office, Jiyeon seems more at ease, humming her current favourite nursery rhyme.

[Cut to the dentist's office. Jiyong and Jiyeon walk in, Jiyeon clutching onto her stuffed toy tightly, visibly nervous. Jiyong takes a deep breath, channeling his inner Taeyeon.]

“Jiyeon, darling, you're so brave, just like a superhero! And you know what superheroes do? They face challenges head-on and come out so much stronger!” Jiyong says, mimicking his wife’s soothing voice.

MC Host 1: “Now that's what we call "dad acting!" Jiyong's channeling his wife's calming aura to ease Jiyeon's nerves. Will his mimicry skills prove effective?”

[Jiyeon looks up at her dad, wide-eyed but slightly comforted by his encouraging words.]

“Like, like... uhm.. Spider-Man?” Jiyeon says, lost in thought.

Jiyong: “Exactly! You're our very own superhero. And I'll be right here with you, okay?”

[As Jiyeon nods, the dentist, noticing their apprehension, joins in greeting them with a smile.]

Dentist: “Hey there, Jiyeon! I heard you're as brave as a superhero. How about we count your teeth together like a superhero challenge?”

[Jiyeon looks at the dentist, then back at her dad, determination filling her eyes. With a mixture of apprehension and determination, Jiyeon held onto both Bear and her dad's hand as they approached the dental chair. Jiyong, offering words of encouragement, stood by her side, his supportive presence lending her strength.

As Jiyeon settled into the chair, her eyes widened with unease as she caught sight of the dental mirror in the dentist's hand, the instrument drawing nearer to her. Jiyeon's bravery wavered, and soon, cries echoed through the room. Terrified, she begged for her mom, Taeyeon, her voice trembling with fear.

Jiyong, ever the reassuring father, wrapped an arm around Jiyeon, comforting her "It's okay, Jiyeon. Mommy will be so proud of how brave you are. Let's finish this, and then we'll call her, okay?" Jiyeon's sobs continued, her eyes searching desperately for her mother. Jiyong, aware of the time difference as Taeyeon was in Japan, felt a pang of worry about potentially disturbing her sleep.

Trying to soothe Jiyeon's fears, Jiyong softly began to hum a familiar tune – Taeyeon's song "I," the same melody Taeyeon often sang to Jiyeon at bedtime. Her cries softened at the sound of the comforting melody, her tears gradually subsiding. She recognized the tune that usually lulled her into peaceful slumber, finding solace in her dad's humming. With Taeyeon's melody in the background, the dental team worked gently, taking small steps to ensure Jiyeon felt comfortable. The atmosphere shifted, and Jiyeon's tension slowly dissipated as she focused on the familiar tune, finding a sense of calm within it.

In a heartwarming turn, Jiyeon, now composed and reassured by the song, bravely continued the appointment. Her grip on Bear tightened, and she held onto her dad's hand for support, her resilience shining through. The room, once filled with distress, now exuded a serene aura as Jiyeon faced her fears with newfound courage, guided by the loving presence of her father and the soothing melody reminiscent of her mother's comforting embrace.

[Scene fades out with Jiyeon proudly showing off her superhero sticker collection to her mom on facetime whilst walking back to the car.]

"Eomma, eomma! Look at my stickers, there's so much! They said i'm a tooth superhero!" Jiyeon says, beaming with joy

[Jiyong watched fondly as Jiyeon animatedly displayed her collection to the phone camera, her tiny voice resonating with pride as he opens the the plastic straw to her milk]

Taeyeon, on the other end of the call, listened attentively, her heart swelling with pride and joy at her daughter's bravery. "Wow, Jiyeon! You're the bravest superhero I know! I'm so proud of you!"

Jiyeon's eyes sparkled with happiness, her smile stretching from ear to ear. She held up her favorite sticker, a vibrant representation of her triumph over fear, as she chattered excitedly about her dental adventure. He watched, immensely proud of his daughter's courage and determination. As Jiyeon continued to narrate her superheroic exploits, Jiyong couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude for the special bond between Jiyeon and Taeyeon, and how thankful he was to have a family this beautiful.

Taeyeon: "You're growing up to be such a big girl, Jiyeon! Daddy told me how brave you were. I can't wait to hear all about it when I'm back."
