Kang Minsoo,
Co-founder CEO
& Music ProducerΒ
Minsoo can appear stern and closed off,
but in reality heβs just quiet and reserved.
When recording songs,
Minsooβs strengths becomes clear.
Heβs great at getting idols to unlock their potential with his well-worded advice.
He sometimes steps in as both
a rap & vocal coach, a naturally good teacher Minsoo earns the respect of
those he works with while maintaining emotional distance.
Heβs always known the shadier aspects
of the industry existed, but being a
Music Producer, Minsoo never really
saw himself as complicit in it.
He knew running a company would be tricky, but he never predicted the kind of decisions they would end up making.

Kang Hyesun,
Co-founder CEO
& Creative Director
Hyesun is a talented Creative Director
and hands-on CEO with a close
relationship to her trainees and idols.
Friendly, warm, and ambitious.
Sheβs had to deal with many obstacles
to get where she is today. Being a young woman in the industry isnβt easy,
especially when youβre determined to climb the ladder. But these very
struggles have made her desensitised to certain behaviours. She can downplay
their effects, she ended up fine after all.Β
Hyesunβs so dedicated to bringing her vision to life, she can sometimes
lose sight of the feelings of those around her.

The Digi Boys Β
Real Media Entertainment only started taking male trainees after the Reel Girls lineup was finalised. Despite this,
Digi Boys debuted in April 2021,
fast-tracking their debut. Due to the success of Reel Girls, they gained media attention even before debut,
helping to set the stage for their success.
Digi Boys have dealt with criticism for being so similar in concept and sound
to their sister group, but ultimately this didnβt negatively impact them.
Developing a passionate fanbase,
and more general public eyes on them
than is the norm for boy groups,
they broke records and won Rookie
of the Year.
Real Media would often promote both groups together, building their reputation as sibling groups. It was a unique marketing strategy, and it seemed to be working in their favour until it wasnβt. Every time Digi Boys promote, theyβre a reminder of the absence of Reel Girls, so intertwined. Will Digi Boys forever be haunted by the legacy of their missing sister group?Β

Park Eunkyoung,
Idol Stylist
Park Eunkyoung is famous behind the scenes of the idol industry, known for
her impeccable styling abilities. Sheβs likable and charming, a hard person
to say no to. She makes friends easily, including Hyesun.
Theyβve worked together many times
before and make great collaborators.
But much like Hyesun, Eunkyoung puts
her vision first. Not giving much thought
to the idolβs age or comfort, if you say something she doesnβt want to hear,
sheβll simply wave her hand and tell
you to trust her.

Kim Hyunwoo, CFOΒ
Β Dance Instructor &
Choreographer Β Β Β
The Kangβs thought they needed
one more partner on board to create Real Media Entertainment. They managed to recruit Hyunwoo, a famous
Choreographer and dancer in his past,
who had gone into business and finance when his body could no longer handle leading a dance crew. It made so much sense, a Dance Instructor, Choreographer
and CFO all in one.
It seemed too good to be true!
And well, maybe it was. Hyunwoo may come across as warm to be around day to day. But he has very little patience and a short fuse, which aren't great traits
for a teacher. Hyunwoo had only taught
his choreographies to strong dancers,
never having to deal with training someoneβs skills from the ground up.
If he feels someone is not putting
in enough effort, he might just scream.Β

Β Lee Daeun,
Β Vocal Coach
Lee Daeun has had experience with both musical theatre and idol life. She is a talented vocalist and an excellent teacher. She is quite strict and may come across as cold at first, but sheβs actually quite empathic and is good at adjusting her teaching style to the individual.Β Daeun
isnβt an in house instructor, so most
of the time she has very little knowledge
of the on goings day to day at real media entertainment. And with some mama
bear qualities, itβs a wonder how she
would react if she knew the full truth.

Β Manager, Kwon Chanwoo
Β Β Β FC: Gong Yoo
Chanwoo doubles both as their road manager and primary bodyguard. The guy might not look it but he's physically strong and has good instincts. Heβs also objectively, a good driver. But Chanwoo cares very little about the girls as people, he clocks on and clocks out, heβs there for the pay, and heβs paid to look the other way and not ask questions.
Chanwoo has a permanent poker face and remains quiet most of the time, with his eyes glazed over in disinterest. He simply parrots whatever the company wants him to. When he gets mad he simply smokes a cigarette and plays games on his phone. He has a not-so-secret addiction to phone games.
I couldn't find a personality type that I felt fit him quite right. Just think of him as a bit sarcastic/condescending, and apathetic (outside of what is needed for his job) with a dash of arrogance.
Β Manager, Lee Eunji
Β Β Β Β FC: Yoon Seoah
Β Β Β Type 6, ISFJ,
21, when reel girls debuted.
Eunji was in the last year of high school when her parents passed away in a tragic car accident. Eunji has no clue where she would be today if it wasnβt for her motherβs younger sister taking her in. She had a close relationship with her aunt before it happened, but Eunji still canβt understate how Hyesun and Minsoo went above and beyond for her.
After graduating, Eunji didnβt have any plans for her life. Losing her parents made it hard for her to imagine a future.
To help give her some stability, they offered Eunji the role of social media manager for their brand-new company, helping to promote it.
Eunji ended up excelling at the job and enjoyed it a lot more than she thought she would.
Once the debut lineup was being finalised for Reel girls, Hyeseun and Minsoo asked if she would be their manager. Truthfully, Eunji was intimated by the responsibility, but they reassured her that her position would be focused on social media and PR.
Additionally, Real Media needed an adult to live with Reel girls due to all the members being minors at debut, and both Hyesun and Minsoo trusted Eunji.
It was awkward at first, but due to Eunji being pretty close in age to the members, she was able to build a strong bond with them. Sometimes it was hard for her to enforce certain rules, finding it hard to be stern with them. But ultimately, Eunji was indebted to the Kangs and would remain loyal to them.
However, Eunji herself wasnβt fully aware of just how in the dark she had been. There is so much she didnβt know, so much she wishes she had.
