A Meeting, A Warning, and A Dream

Drained

If anyone wants mood songs the beginning- 2/3's- was inspired by TVXQ's Athena OST and the rest by Sj's Monster.

Three

Jaejoong stared out into the street something was haunting him a memory that tickled the edge of his mind. Something important that he should, no had, to remember. Shaking his head, odd thoughts like that had been invading his mind more often as well as the desire to sing and dance. That’s when he felt safe singing or dancing otherwise lately he’s felt like someone was watching his movements, tracking him like prey.

“KIM JAEJOONG JAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEJJJJJJJJJJJONG” a voice screeched his name in an ungodly tone. That unholy voice’s owner was calling out his name, bouncing towards him with another girl in tow. He barely recognized the girl, before in the club Min Hee had the help of the dim lighting and semi-attractive clothing, now in broad daylight although she was still extremely pretty, her friend out shined her. The nameless girl had a timeless beauty to her as if although she was both ageless and untouchable. If you took a black and white picture of her you would have trouble telling if she was a lovely angel of times lost or a model of the present colored with modern technology.

“Uh-hrrrf,” Min Hee coughed calling back his attention.

“Hi Jaejong,” she sweetly then introduced her friend, “this Mi Cha.”

“Hello,” she greeted him softly; it triggered a tingling sensation in this mind.

“Hi, I’m Jaejoong,” he replied as the sensation disappeared, much to his dislike. Looking at both girls his eyes suddenly blurred, burning. A fist automatically moved up to rub away the itchiness and dryness. A light pressure stopped him; the soft slender fingers that stopped him belong to Mi Cha.

“You shouldn’t do that,” she whispered softly.

“Sorry?” he blinked dropping the said hand.

“You shouldn’t do that it hurts your eyes,” she repeated.

“Ah, Sorry.” He looked towards the ground unsure of what to do. The girl he had entirely forgotten about reached over to push his fringe out of his eyes and looked concernedly into them.

“They are red, Mi Cha’s right you shouldn’t do that,” she coughed dropping her eyes to the ground. After she opened and closed four or five times she swallowed her pride and apologized, “I’m sorry for being a bit loud earlier it’s just someone crashed into my car a bit ago.”

Jae Joong looked her over once and realized that was the best apology he would ever get out of a girl like that; once she dropped her sour face she rivaled her friend in beauty.

“Um…” her bit her lips nervously before asking, “Can we get some help?”

Reaching for her friend she up turned their wrist to show two mirror slash marks that were lightly bleeding while on her hand was a nasty gash about 10 cm in diameter. Mi Cha jerked her arm back although to hide her injury and not cause anyone to feel an ounce of concern for her.

“You should be more worried about your injury Min Hee-ah,” she complained which proved the statement above.

“You should both see a doctor,” Jaejoong stared at the wounds, eyebrows arched.

“Can you please just help us for now? We’ll see a doctor later I promise,” she grinned in a way that made you wonder if she would go through with her words. Brushing his hair out of his face, he nodded and began walking in the direction of his apartment. It felt odd to have anyone in here since he’d lived on his own since well his dorm mates moved out two years ago.

“Sit anywhere you want,” he said nervously pointing towards his couch. He had to be glad that he wasn’t the messiest boy in the world he actually   cleaned it every now and then not that he had much to clean  his dorm mates, Changmin and Yunho, had taken the majority of their things when they left two or so year ago. He basically had the bare necessities black white couch and love seat set some gave him, a twin bed that came with the place, a coffee table someone left out on the street, among a bunch of other odd items that were give to him over those two years furnished the house strangely matching up in their shades of black and white.  As he trudged through the sparse apartment the two girls sat on the plain couch quietly. It took him a few minute of rummaging through the cabinet in this black and white tiled bathroom before he found the red and white plastic box. In quick strides he made it back to the livingroom within a minute and moved towards the girl with the more major injury.

“Does it hurt?” he asked dabbing on the clear liquid onto the gash the marred her pale skin. The red cut was darkening at the edges where it touched jagged ripped skin.

“Its fine,” her face contrasting with her words since it was twisting from pain. He couldn’t help but smile at Min Hee’s surprisingly cute trait.  Tearing apart a wrapper his lightly placed the large band aid patch over the cut pressing down with minimal force. Once that duty was done he let his wander her body, observing any bare scrap of skin for abrasions, over her neck and down her waist and when he was certain that no cut escape his view he turned to clean the wounds of the other girl. Amazingly, what looked earlier to be deep bleeding scratches were just swallow welted lifted lines on her skin.

“I guess it looked a lot worse than it was right?” her slender fingers moved to pushed her long sleeves back down to cut the wounds.

“Oh,” Jaejoong bounced up suddenly aware of his rudeness to his guess, “Do you need something to drink? Water? Tea?”

“Water 2 bottles please,” Min Hee smiled brightly now that the sting of the alcohol had faded.

“Kay,” he leaned off his knees and stood up walking through the hole in the wall into the kitchen.

She watched his back with a soft smile on . He seem so innocent when was cleaning her wounds, honestly worried about a complete stranger. When he was cleaning the wounds he hummed, unaware of his actions, unaware of the magic he used. When he hummed small golden threads jumped from his fingers and wrapped her “friend’s” wound lightly helping it heal more quickly with its warm enchantment. The girl would never be aware of it but that wound would never be infected or scar her. In this space, she felt energized since it stored over the years wisps of his power and bits from its embed magic flowed her void. It calmed her; he calmed her for some odd reason, like a half-forgotten comfort one remembers when they stumble upon it years later. The more time she spent observing him the more he perked her curiosity. The sudden roar that grumbled through her stomach was a reminder why she even gave the boy in front of her any attention. The amused drained from her face as a more serious and tactical visor took its place.

Jaejoong shook slightly as the pricking, itchy feeling of eyes boring into him returned from the small recess it had earlier today. Lightly tossing the chilled bottles, he moved back to the living room curious of what to do next. The group sat in self-conscious, uncomfortable silence not sure of what the next move should be until the vibrating sounds of a small cell phone pierced the quiet. Min Hee looked down at her phone with a smile relieved for a reason to leave.

“Mi Cha unnie,” she lisped poking her elder in the shoulder, “our tow truck arrived.”

“Thank you,” they both bowed at Jaejoong’s generosity. Looking outside he noticed the darkening sky and fading rays of light, being taught to be a gentleman by his family he couldn’t help but walk them down towards their car. The walk was less awkward then being in the room since as their feet crunched the gravel they could keep a distance between them and enjoy the discolored orange sunset.

“Sad isn’t it?” Min Hee commented looking at the sky.

                “Beautiful,” Jaejoong corrected.
“Really what makes you say that?” Mi Cha mused not adding in her own opinion.

“Its melancholy since the day is over but it gives you a chance to enjoy the time you have before night? I don’t know I just like sun sets,” Jaejoong grinned wondering where these words were coming from.
