CHAPTER 16

Karina's Pov

It's new year's eve

Napagdesisyunan ng mga nakakatanda na sa iisang bahay nalang kami mag celebrate at eto nga at lahat kami ay nandito sa bahay ng lolo't lola. 

The people are busy eating and partying inside. But I wanna be alone for a while so I went to the garden. 

"A penny for your thoughts?"

It's ate Tiffany. She is one of my older cousins. 

"Just taking a break, tsaka ayoko din naman pumasok baka ayain lang nila akong uminom." We both chuckled

"You were never the type to mingle with other people for that long." Yeah maybe because my social battery runs out faster than most people. 

"I saw your posts on Facebook. Congrats ate" I said and she looked at me and smiled. 

"Thank you. It took a lot of courage but I'm glad I fought for my happiness" 

"You're brave. Not many people are willing to do what you did. Love is Love and even tho I'm straight. I support you and ate Taeyeon" I can tell she's really inlove. The way her eyes are shining and the way her cheeks turned red after hearing the name of her lover. 

"I really love her. I love Taeyeon so much." Nakakainggit naman. I feel left out. Halos lahat ng mga pinsan at kamag anak ko ay may mga partners in life na. 

"I wonder what it feels like" I mumbled 

"Like what?" She replied

"To fall in love, to love, and to be loved" I honestly don't know cause I've never been in love. I've had crushes but they never lasts. 

" You won't know beforehand. But you'll know once you meet your twin flame, your soulmate, your other half. Somehow your heart knows. In other cases, love grows. Slowly but surely." Then she pats my head. 

" Looks like you've found yours ate. " I smiled at her and she hugged me. 

"You'll find yours too Rina" I hope so

"Or maybe you already met each other" she added 

I looked up the sky to look at the stars. 

But I saw a shooting star instead. 

And I wished.

"HAPPY NEW YEAAAAAR"

Me and my cousins went to the garden for the fireworks and some firecrackers. After that we went inside to eat. 

Naririnig ko na ang sunod sunod na notifications sa phone ko. Siguro marami ng texts and messages galing sa group chats at friends. Kaya agad ko na itong kinuha sa pocket ng aking shorts. 

(Clowns gc) 

GINselle: Happy new year everyone!!! 

Ningning walang bituin: Maligayang bagong taon. 

Ryujin uhugin: HNY!!!! Hingi naman ako ng mga handa niyo

Mama Marene: May panibagong taon nanaman na pinagkaloob sa atin ang diyos. 

Hyunjin: Puntahan niyo nga bahay ni ate irene baka di siya yung may hawak ng account niya. 

Yeji jowa ni Ryujin bantotin: Happy New year! I'm sad kasi walang mango float 😭

Ryujin uhugin: Dito ka samin Ddeong. 

Kari-kare: Ay so di kami invited? Jowa privilege nga naman. 

Ningning walang bituin: Kick out nalang natin sa GC si ryu. 

Ryujin uhugin: Waaaag, syempre invited din kayo. Malapit na bday ko inaaway niyo parin ako. 

Ningning walang bituin: Edi Advance Happy Birthday sayo. Oh naka greet na ko kick out niyo na. 

Natawa nalang ako sa kalokohan nila. 

Ibinaba ko na ang phone dahil isa isa na silang nag send ng pictures and videos. 

Nag reply din ako sa mga kamag anak at mga friends kong nag message sakin. 

And I didn't realize na may una palang nag greet sakin. Natakpan ng mga bagong message.
