Chapter 5

Accidentally Manager

Xuan her camera and pressed the record button. “Good morning guys. I’m sorry if I didn’t vlog yesterday because things happened as you can tell.” Xuan pointed at her eye patch and her bandage on her lips. “So what happened, you might ask.” Xuan sighed. “Long story short, a fan at the event yesterday was saying inappropriate stuff to Chaeryeong so I just told him to leave and got security. As revenge, he punched me while I was putting stuff away in the van. It was… not a good day for me but the girls helped me and took care of my injuries. I wanted to take the rest of the day off to recover.

“I know there will be articles today about that incident but I want you guys to hear my story. Some people may think I overstep the lines but I couldn’t be a bystander when I see one of the girls being uncomfortable. So I had to do what I had to and I would happily do it again. Even if it means being punched again.” Xuan chuckled, “I care for the girls and I want to protect them while I’m here.”

“Anyways!” Xuan clapped her hands. “Since I miss a day of vlogging, I have some more questions to answer! One of them being a room tour of my room. So here’s a quick tour of my room.” Xuan picked up the camera and pointed toward her desk. “First off, here’s my desk. Just plain and simple since I didn’t really pack a lot. I have my gaming/work laptop. That’s where I do everything. I have some photo frames.” Xuan pointed at her frames, “This is my photo of me and my older siblings. If you guys didn’t know, I’m actually the youngest so I’m the baby haha. The other one is with me and my close friends. I miss them all dearly but I know they’re doing well.”

Xuan pointed at her plant. “This is my cactus that I bought on impulse. Her name is Hong and she’s surprisingly still alive despite how busy I get.”

Xuan turned to the side. “I have a lovely full mirror in my room because I like to see what kind of outfits I want to wear.” Xuan threw a peace sign. “Speaking of outfits,” Xuan got up and pointed the camera at her closet, “here is my closet full of my hoodies, jackets, and sweaters. Maybe I’ll do a special video of going through my favorite clothes and have one of the girls rate them because why not. I’m not actually a big fan of big brands, especially since they’re expensive and I’m a broke college student. So I like supporting small businesses and these small businesses have the cutest or coolest design and I like buying them.” Xuan pointed the camera toward herself, “I do have a random fact which might be a call out to my friend. Anyway, I have a close friend who’s like a mother figure to me and she loves my clothes. Like my closet here doesn’t compare my closet back at home. So sometimes she would ask or steal my hoodies and it’ll take a while for me to get it back.” Xuan chuckled. “I’m pretty sure she still has a couple that I couldn’t get back before I left the States so hopefully she’s enjoying those hoodies.”

“Anyway, moving on.” Xuan pointed at her bed, “Here is my bed. This is where I sleep. Nothing special except a couple of plushies I brought from home and a couple I bought here. If you guys also didn’t know, I like plushies a lot. At my old room, I have a mountain of plushies that would always get pushed off whenever I sleep so this is a nice downgrade because I don’t have to worry about knocking them over in the middle of the night.”

Xuan pointed at her ceiling. “Lastly, I have LED lights. Something about having LED lights in your room just makes it complete. I would put it to a soft color and then put a timer so that I can sleep better. And what’s cool about these lights is that they react to music so it’s like a mini rave whenever I play music.”

Afterwards, Xuan went to her desk and set her camera up again. “So that’s pretty much my room. Nothing special. Just simple since I’ll only be here for a year. I hope you guys like it.” Xuan gave a thumbs up. “Moving on to questions that you guys asked. Where am I from? Good question! I am from California. I live in SoCal or Southern California if you don’t know California slang. Specifically, I grew up in Orange County or OC. More specifically, I grew up in Garden Grove which is a heavily populated asian city. Mainly Vietnamese but there is a specific Korean District that is in Garden Grove where you can find a lot of Korean restaurants and shops.”

“Next question is: what school did you study in before moving? I study at ********* which is near my house. I do drive to my college campus whenever I have in-person classes and it is a real struggle to find parking. I was late to class a couple of times so I suggest finding parking and just sleep before your class. Or study if you can’t sleep. At least you have found parking.”

“Last question: what do you do in your free time when you’re not doing your job? Excellent question! So if I’m not managing the girls or doing my school, I like to watch videos, TV shows. In addition, I like to call or text friends because they always want updates on my life here in Korea. Sometimes I draw, but I’m not a good artist so I will not be showing my drawing sorry guys. I also like to work out especially when I’m stressed out. So yeah guys. That’s pretty much it for this vlog. Please take care and keep supporting Itzy and me. Your support means a lot to us. Bye bye!” Xuan turned off the camera and did some editing. Then she sent it to the marketing team.

Xuan stretched her arms. “Well, that editing took a while but I managed to get it in time.” Xuan looked over and saw her reflection in the mirror. She sighed heavily as she saw her eye patch and her bandage on her lips. Another memory came into mind.

“Ow! God damn it!” Xuan winced in pain as the rubbing alcohol was applied to her knees.

“It wouldn’t hurt in the first place if you were careful on your skateboard.” Hien said as she kept applying the rubbing alcohol.

Xuan looked away and pouted. “I was trying to impress you… but you were too busy talking to the guy who was flirting with you.”

Hien smiled. “Baby, were you jealous?” Xuan nodded, avoiding Hien’s gaze. She chuckled, “Xuan I didn’t even know he was flirting with me. I thought he was being nice.”

“You know, for someone who is smart and very analytical, sometimes you can be dense.” Xuan laughed which resulted in her getting flicked in the forehead. “Ow! I’m already in pain. I don’t need anymore!”

Hien huffed. “That’s what you get for teasing me.” Hien finished applying the alcohol and put on the bandage to Xuan’s injuries. Then, she held Xuan’s chin and made her face her. “But seriously, I would never flirt with anyone else, Xuan. You’re the one who occupies my heart.”

“Really?” Xuan said as she held Hien’s hand.

Hien smiled and leaned in to give a kiss to Xuan. Then, she put her forehead on hers. “Yes my love. I love you, Xuan.”

“I love you too, Hien.”

Xuan sighed. Then, she went to her desk drawer and pulled out a Polaroid picture. It was a picture of her and Hien on their first date together. Xuan looked at her calendar on her desk. “Our two year anniversary is coming up soon. And yet she still hasn’t responded…”

Suddenly, there was a knock on her door. Xuan quickly put the picture back in her drawer and went over to her. She opened it and revealed Chaeryeong at her door, holding a tray of food and a medical kit. “Good morning Chaeryeong.”

“Good morning Xuan unnie. I made you breakfast.”

Xuan smiled. “You didn’t have to, Chaeryeong. Plus I said I would do all the cooking.”

Chaeryeong shook her head. “I wanted to. To thank you for yesterday.”

Xuan sighed, “It’s okay Chaeryeong. I told you that I did it because I wanted to protect you. I don’t need anything in return.”

“But I want to… you don’t want to eat my cooking?” Chaeryeong pouted.

Xuan blushed. I swear these girls are gonna be the death of me. Xuan sighed in defeat. “Alright alright I accept.” Xuan was able to grab the tray but Chaeryeong pulled it back. She looked at her in confusion. “Eh?”

“Can I come in?” Chaeryeong asked.

Xuan blinked at her. “Uh sure sure. Come in.” Xuan stepped to the side and let Chaeryeong into her room.

Chaeryeong looked around the room. “This is my first time coming into your room. It’s nice.”

Xuan rubbed her neck, “Thank you Chaeryeong. You can just put the tray on my desk.”

Chaeryeong shook her head. “Go to your bed.”

“Huh? Chaeryeong you really don’t have to-”

“Go and sit at your bed.” Chaeryeong said sternly.

“Y-Yes ma’am.” Xuan quickly went to her bed and sat on it, laying back onto her pillows. Chaeryeong sat at her side and put the tray on Xuan’s lap. Then, she grabbed the spoon and scoop some of the porridge. She blew on it and held it to Xuan’s mouth. Xuan looked at her, “Chaeryeong, I can eat by myself.”

“Eat.”

“Y-Yes ma’am.” Xuan ate the spoonful of porridge. Xuan smiled, “It’s delicious.”

Chaeryeong beamed. “Thank you Xuan unnie.” Chaeryeong kept on feeding Xuan until she finished to the last drop of the porridge.

When Xuan was done eating, Chaeryeong set the tray down and grabbed the med kit. “It’s time to reapply ointment and change your bandage.”

Xuan was about to fight back but she knew that Chaeryeong was going to be persistent. “Okay.”

Chaeryeong smiled and opened the medical kit. She pulled out the tube of ointment. She then turned to Xuan and carefully removed her eye patch. She frowned when she saw how dark her black eye was. “It’s really dark, unnie.”

“It’ll be like that for a while.” Xuan explained.

“Would makeup help?” She asked as she applied the ointment to Xuan’s eye.

“It would but I don’t have any makeup. I’m not really a makeup person.”

“Then we can go today!” Chaeryeong exclaimed. “It’s our day off so let’s go shopping Xuan unnie.”

“Hmmm okay. We will go after my meeting, okay?”

“Okay!” Chaeryeong happily said. After she was done applying, she carefully put back Xuan’s eyepatch. Then, she moved onto carefully removing the bandage near Xuan’s lips and starting applying ointment.

Xuan couldn’t help but blush at how close Chaeryeong was to her face. She’s so pretty… so beautiful and those lips- XUAN WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?! SHE’S AN IDOL FOR GOD SAKE AND YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIENDsorta. Hien please respond.

Chaeryeong finished applying the ointment and put a new bandage onto the injured area. She put the ointment back and closed the medical kit. “Okay! I’m done unnie.”

Xuan smiled. “Thank you again for taking care of me Chaeryeong.”

Chaeryeong smiled and put down the medical kit. Then, she wrapped her arms around Xuan’s shoulders, her face resting in the crook of her neck. Xuan was taken back by this action. “Are you okay?”

Chaeryeong nodded, “I just wanted a hug.”

“O-Okay.” Xuan sooted to the side for a bit to make room for Chaeryeong. She quickly followed and now both girls were comfortably on Xuan’s bed. Xuan caress Chaeryoung’s back as the younger kept on hugging her tightly. Xuan smiled. She’s been strangely affectionate since yesterday. Xuan thought as she remembered that Chaeryeong wouldn’t leave her side when they got home after the incident. Even when all the girls and Xuan were in the living room watching a movie, Chaeryeong hugged her like what they are doing now. Maybe she’s still traumatized from what happened yesterday. Poor girl.

Xuan and Chaeryeong stayed in that position for a while until there was a knock on the door. Xuan got up from her bed, leaving Chaeryeong sitting on Xuan’s bed. Xuan opened the door and revealed Lia. “Oh, good morning Lia. What’s up?”

“Morning Xuan. I was wondering if you know where Chaeryeong went. I woke up and she wasn’t in our room.” Lia asked.

“Oh she’s right here.” Xuan stepped to the side and pointed at her bed. Lia looked in and saw Chaeryeong sitting on her bed. She waved at her. “She came in this morning. She made me breakfast and helped me with my wounds.”

Lia crossed her arms. “Did you guys do anything else?”

“N-nothing really. Maybe a little hugging but I think she’s just traumatized from yesterday. So you girls should check up on her when I leave for my meeting. Make sure you take care of her while I’m okay. Also, we’re going shopping later so the tell the others as well.”

“Okay.” Lia flatly said. She then turned her attention to Chaeryeong. “Come on Chaeryeong. Let Xuan rest and let’s make breakfast for the others.

Chaeryeong nodded. “Okay Lia unnie.” She got up from her bed and bowed to Xuan. “Take care Xuan unnie. Be careful.”

Xuan smiled and patted Chaeryeong’s head. “I will. Now run along now.” Chaeryeong smiled and went out of Xuan’s room, Lia following behind.

Xuan closed her door. She looked at her clock on her wall. “I have some time before I need to meet the marketing team. I guess it notes time.” Xuan went to her desk and did her usual school stuff.

As Lia and Chaeryeong were in the kitchen preparing the ingredients, Lia spoke up. “Chaeryeong.

Chaeryeong turned her head to Lia. “Yes, Lia unnie?

Were you just hugging Xuan? Or were you doing something else together?

Chaeryeong looked at her in confusion. “Just hugging unnie. I wanted to make sure she’s okay.” Lia hummed and continued doing her own thing, “Why?

Lia stopped and turned her head, “Chaeryeong. Listen carefully. Xuan is our friend but she’s still our manager and you’re still an idol. So no funny business. You need to be careful.

I don’t understand. Why are you telling me all this?

Lia crossed her arms. “Do you have feelings for Xuan?

Chaeryeong blushed slightly. Then she looked away from Lia. “Maybe…

Lia sighed and rubbed her temples. “I’m not saying you shouldn’t have feelings for her but I just want you to be careful. The media is everywhere. Also, you don’t know if she feels the same way or if she likes girls.

I think she does. I just have a feeling…

Meanwhile, Xuan sneezed a couple of times. She grabbed a tissue and wiped her nose. “Oh geez, it’s not allergy season… maybe Thi is talking about me.” Xuan shrugged and went back to her notes.

Back in the kitchen, Lia sighed and looked at Chaeryeong. “Either way Chaeryeong, please be cautious. That’s all I ask.”

Chaeryeong nodded her head. “Okay Lia unnie.” The two girls went back to their usual preparations. But then Chaeryeong spoke up. “Lia unnie. Do you have feelings for Xuan unnie?

Lia stopped and paused for a moment. “No…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the Itzy members had their breakfast, all of them went to do their own thing: Lia and Chaeryeong washing the dishes, Yeji and Yuna were watching TV in the living room and Ryujin was scrolling through her phone. Xuan came out of her room and headed toward the door. “Okay girls. I’m off to my meeting now but I’ll be back later so we can go shopping. Bye girls! Be on your best behavior. Especially you Yuna.”
Yuna whined. “Why me?”
“Because I know you will cause some kind of trouble when I’m gone. Okay bye y’all.” Xuan left the dorm and headed to the marketing office.
After the long hour meeting, Xuan thanked the team and left the office. As she walked back toward the dorm, she couldn’t help but feel giddy about the whole plan. “Everything is a go! I’m so happy! I just gotta write my business plan and plan out everything and wait for the marketing team to write me back for confirmation. I can’t wait to tell the girls.”
Xuan finally reached the dorms and opened the door. “I’m back, girls. I come bringing greats news.”
“Are we getting our bonus?” Ryujin asked.
“That is not my department Ryujin.” She groaned and went back to her phone. “Anyway, remember how I told you girls about performing a mini concert at my school?” The girls nodded. “Well, I got full approval from the team about bringing a special guest to perform with you girls.”
The girls widened their eyes. “Who is Xuan unnie?” Yuna asked.
“His name is Dabin Lee or Dabin as his stage name. He is a well known EDM artist and he’s my personal favorite. He will assist you girls because you will be performing solo covers of his songs.” Xuan explained.
“Why him though?” Lia asked.
“I’ve been thinking about and to show you guys my life I want to combine two of my favorite music genres: Kpop and EDM. And Dabin is perfect because he is a Korean from Canada and I bet he’s willing to do some remixes of your songs. So the plan for the concert opener is you girls, you will perform a few of your songs and it will transition to him remixing a couple of your songs. Then he will play some set music and then as a closer, all of you will have solo covers of his songs. I will show you girls a recommended list of songs and you can tell me so I can write it in. Sounds good?”
“Sounds exciting Xuan unnie.” Chaeryeong said happily. “I can’t wait to hear his songs.”
“Oh you’ll love his songs. They helped me alot through in my life and who knows, maybe you girls like him too. Maybe I’ll show other artists but for now Dabin.”
“So everything is good for the reality show?” Yeji asked.
Xuan nodded. “Yes, everything is good to go. The staff will help book our tickets and hotel while I go and plan out every detail and send it to the team in case they need to make adjustments. But enough of that!” Xuan clapped her hands, “Who’s ready to go shopping?” All the girls raised their hands which made Xuan laugh. “Well, alright then. Go, get ready girls. Yeji you’re driving us because the outlet is far.”
“Okay Xuan.” After that, the girls went to get ready. Xuan decided to sit in the living room while waiting for the girls to be finished. As she was scrolling through her phone, she received a phone call from Thi again. “I swear to god this girl does not sleep.” Xuan picked up the phone. “Hello?”
“HOLY XUAN ARE YOU OKAY?!?!” Thi was yelling so loud that Xuan had to move her phone away from her.
“Calm down Thi. You almost blew out my phone speaker and my ears. Geez.”
“Sorry sorry but I’m just freaking out. You didn’t end up in the hospital right?”
“No… Wait Thi, how do you know about my injuries?”
“Dude, the articles are already out. And I think you’re trending a bit on Twitter.”
“Oh god.” Xuan facepalmed. “I don’t wanna check Twitter or any of the articles. I just want to have a nice day out with the girls.”
“Oh~ are you going on a date with all of them?” Xuan could feel Thi smirking, “I didn’t know you’re into that. You’re such a player Xuan.”
“ I will tell an embarrassing story about you in my next vlog if you don’t stop.”
“Okay geez I’m sorry. I’m just playing.” Xuan rolled her eyes. “Anyway, does that mean you and Hien broke up?”
“Again Thi, I am not going on a date with the girls. We’re just gonna hang out. And no, we didn’t break up… I’m still waiting.”
Thi sighed. “Fine, I was just wondering. Anyway, I just wanna check up on you. I hope that guy rots in jail for punching you. That was not cool.”
“Yeah but I wasn’t gonna let him touch Chaeryeong after saying all that inappropriate stuff to her. I just wanted to protect her.”
“Ahhh classic Xuan. Always a knight in shiny armor for the pretty girls.” Thi laughed.
“Why am I friends with you again?”
“Because you love me. Anyways, on a serious note, don’t change your kindness Xuan. You were amazing at what you did.”
Xuan smiled. “Thanks Thi. I appreciate that and thanks for checking up on me. I’m sorry if I made you worry.”
“Girl you’re on the other side of the planet. I worry for you everyday but I know you’re handling it well over there.”
“You know it.” Xuan saw that the girls were ready to go. “I’ll talk to you later. The girls are here and we’re about to leave.”
“Oh okay! It was nice talking to you Xuan. Don’t do anymore stupid . Tell the girls I say hi.”
“They don’t even know you.” Xuan smiled, “Bye Thi and go to sleep already!” Xuan hung up the call and looked at the girls. “Ready to go?”
“Who were you talking to?” Lia asked.
“My friend from my home. She likes to check on me at random times and it’s always times where she needs to sleep like a normal human.” Xuan looked at Chaeryeong. “Are you still wearing my jacket?”
Chaeryeong nodded and smiled. “I promise I’ll wash it before I give it back.”
“Okay. Take your time. I’m in no rush to get it back.” She reminds me of Thao and her clothes stealing habits. Xuan giggled.
“Well, we’re ready to go.” Yeji said as she grabbed the car keys. The girls nodded and went out of the dorm room and into the parking garage.
All of them got into the company car, Yeji and Xuan up front, the Shin sisters in the middle and Lia and Chaeryeong in the back. They arrived at the outlet after driving for about 20 minutes. Yeji parked the car and all of them left the vehicle, making their way to the entrance. When they entered, Xuan turned to the girls. “So what shall we do first? You girls can do anything you want and I’ll follow.”
“How about makeup first? We need to cover up your eye.” Chaeryeong said.
Xuan nodded. “Lead the way.” Chaeryeong happily clapped her hands and led the girls to the makeup store.
As they entered, Chaeryeong led Xuan to the eye makeup sections (idk makeup as well so I assume it’s eye makeup that helps) while the others went on their own to check out some new items. Chaeryeong was helping Xuan pick out her shade. “I think this one works.” Chaeryeong held up the eye makeup to Xuan’s face. “Yep! This one.”
“You’re the expert so I trust you.” Xuan smiled which made Chaeryeong blush slightly. “Are you going to get anything for yourself?”
Chaeryeong shook her head. “I’m okay unnie. I think I have enough makeup. Do you need anything?”
“I think I need more face wash. I’m starting to run low.”
“Oh okay! I’ll help you to the section.” Chaeryeong took Xuan’s hand and led her to the face care section.
Xuan picked out her usual face wash brand as well as some other skin care products (because they were having a sale and who doesn’t like sales). After grabbing the items, Xuan brought them to the counter. Xuan was about to pull out her card until Chaeryeong gave the cashier her card. “Please put it on my card.” The cashier nodded and took her card.
Xuan looked at Chaeryeong. “You really didn’t have to pay. I have my own money.”
Chaeryeong pouted. “But you’re always spoiling us with treats. Can’t we spoil you too?”
Xuan scratched her head. “I mean I don’t mind but I still feel bad.”
Chaeryeong grabbed her card back and the bag. “Thank you Miss.” Then she handed the bag to Xuan. “It’s no problem at all Xuan unnie. Let us spoil you from time to time.”
“Okay okay. Just don’t spend too much on me. I can still pay for my own stuff.”
“Okay!”
“Let’s find the others and look around more.” Xuan grabbed the bag and went to find the other girls, with Chaeryeong following behind.
Once Xuan and Chaeryeong found the other girls, they all exited the shop and walked around a bit. Xuan found a clothing shop and stopped to look at the display models. “Do you want to go in?” Xuan jumped as Lia spoke up.
“W-Where are the others?” Xuan stuttered.
“They kept on walking and talking but I noticed you weren’t with us and I saw you staring at the clothes.”
“Yeah. The only clothes I have are the ones I packed. Maybe it's time to change up my outfits.”
“Well then,” Lia hooked her arm around Xuan’s arm and smiled. “Let’s go in and see what we can get.” Xuan smiled back and the two girls went inside.
Xuan managed to get some clothes that fit her style. She picked out vests in gray, brown and black, some collared shirts, oversized shirts and some two toned color button up shirts. “You have some nice taste in fashion, Xuan.”
“Thank you, Lia. I do try my best. I used to dress horribly in high school. A lot of graphics tees and nerdy fashion. I changed once I entered college and I try my best to keep up with trends.”
“Come on. Let’s pay for those clothes and find the others. They’re probably getting hungry.” Xuan nodded and brought her chosen clothes to the counter.
Your total will be 700,000 Won.” The cashier said.
Xuan's eyes widened as she heard the total. Holy ! That’s like… $500?!
Lia tapped on Xuan’s shoulder. “Are you okay?”
“Uhhh I think I’ll pass on buying these clothes. They’re just out of my budget.”
“Ah okay.” Lia pulled out her card and gave it to the cashier. “Please charge it to my card.” The cashier nodded and took Lia’s card.
Xuan panicked. “L-Lia, that's too much! At least let me pay part of it.” Xuan was about to reach to her wallet but then Lia stopped her.
“It’s okay Xuan. I can take care of it.”
“B-But that’s still a lot of money you’re spending… on me. I feel really bad.”
“Xuan…” Lia held up her hands and cupped Xuan’s face and made her turn to her. “It really is okay. Think of it as… a gift from me. A thank you for being a great manager and a great friend. You always take care of us so it’s only fair if we can treat you once in a while.”
Xuan looked at Lia for a second. “Are you sure?” Lia nodded. “A-Alright, but only this once.” Xuan smiled.
“Okay you big baby.” Lia smiled as she pinched Xuan’s cheek.
Here’s your card miss.” The cashier handed back Lia’s card. “As a special promotion, we will throw in some accessories of your choosing for free. You can pick up to three.”
Thank you miss.” Lia bowed and then turned to Xuan. “The cashier said they’re doing a special promotion where you can choose three accessories for free.”
“Really? Okay! I’ll be right back.” Xuan went and looked for her accessories.
You two are so cute together.”
Lia turned her head and raised an eyebrow. “Excuse me?
You and that girl make a wonderful couple.
Lia blushed at that statement. “Oh nononono. We’re not a couple. We’re just friends.
Awww but you two are so sweet with each other. Well, I hope you two do end up together.” The cashier chuckled which made Lia redder by the minute.
Xuan came back with her free accessories and added them to the bag. “Thank you miss.” Xuan bowed and took the bag. “Let’s go Lia and find the others.”
“O-okay.” Xuan went out first with Lia following behind.
The girls had a good time at the outlet. Well mainly the girls spoiling Xuan. They didn’t let her pay for anything, even though Xuan was very insistent on it. Yeji ended up paying for her lunch, Ryujin bought her some scented candles and Yuna bought her a fox plushie that Xuan had her eyes on.
The last stop was a nice book store that Chaeryeong wanted to go to. Xuan decided to stay outside and watch the stuff while the girls went inside. Xuan decided to just scroll on her phone while waiting for the girls to finish.
Suddenly she heard someone talking to her. “Hello there, handsome.”
Xuan looked up from her and saw three girls in front of her. Wow, I didn’t think ABGs existed in Korea but I am dead wrong right now.
You look pretty lonely there. Did your girlfriend ditch you?”
“Yeah, we can entertain you while you wait.
I think these girls are flirting with me but I really can’t understand what they are saying.Uhhh sorry… I’m waiting for my… friends.” Xuan tried her best to talk in Korean.
Oh so no girlfriend? Perfect, I am sure your friend wouldn’t mind missing you for the day.” One of the girls was about to grab Xuan’s arm until Xuan felt two arms wrapped around her arms.
Xuan looked and saw Lia and Chaeryeong on each of her sides. The two of them were glaring at the girls in front of them. “I think it’s time to go home now.” Lia said.
I agree.” Chaeryeong said and the two of them grabbed the bags and walked with Xuan away from the girls. The other members followed behind and they walked their way to their cars.
“Ummm thank you Lia. Thank you Chaeryeong.” Xuan smiled, “If you girls didn’t come in time, I don’t know what would’ve happened honestly.”
Lia clicked her tongue. “Some girls have no shame flirting with strangers.”
Chaeryeong nodded. “No girls should be flirting
with our manager.”
Yeji chuckled as she leaned into the Shin sisters. “They’re just jealous.
Yuna looked at Yeji in confusion. “What do you mean by that Yeji unnie?
Ryujin laughed and shook her head. “Oh Yuna. You’re too young to understand.
Yah! I’m practically an adult!” Yuna pouted.
Not in our eyes. You will forever be our baby.” Ryujin patted Yuna’s head. “But I’ll tell you at a later time.
Okay.” Yuna crossed her arms.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Xuan flopped onto her bed immediately after going into her room. Xuan sighed heavily with relief. “Who knew shopping can be so exhausting?” Then, she sat up and saw the bags of gifts that the girls bought for her. Xuan smiled, “Those girls are the absolute sweetest human beings ever… What did I do to deserve to be their manager.” Then she realized something. “Scratch that, what did I do to deserve to be their friend?”

Suddenly, she heard a text notification from her phone. “Is that Thi again? I swear to god that girl might actually be a vampire.” Xuan picked up her phone and her eyes widened at the text that she received from. “Oh my god. Hien…”
