"You scare me at times you know?" Jungwon is sitting on my bed casually as I pull out different outfits for him to see "Why's that?" I ask nonchalantly as I eye a certain shirt I know that will look great on me and Sunoo who is laying next to him claps in agreement at my choice. I was in the middle of figuring out what to wear this upcoming Saturday for my date when Sunoo and Jungwon decided to stop by because they were simply bored so I made them be my outfit supporters nonetheless. 

"Because you're so calculating but it's like the world is in your favor," Jungwon admits honestly "Who would have guessed that your wish fell into place so perfectly... I mean you have been pursuing Niki for a while and we did all agree to fulfill any wish of yours…" He looks up as if everything was slowly clicking in his head 

"But I still don't quite understand why you're into Niki. Especially after two years of knowing him" Sunoo is now the one to speak up as I pull out a pair of black jeans to match the chosen shirt from earlier "It's simple really," I tell them without much thought to my words "I'm not one to fall head over heels for anyone but Niki is a little different... I find him overwhelming attractive and untouchable" 

Sure I might have tweaked my confession a little but overall, it was the truth. Although I didn't genuinely like Niki in a romantic way at first, he got more attractive the farther he ran from me after Yuna appeared. I might not harbor intense feelings for him like Yuna but he was still someone I was now honestly a little interested in. 

"People are like that, you know? Everyone wants what they can't have, it's simply human nature" I explain with a little tilt in my voice so that they could somewhat understand my complex and unreadable mind. 

"But Yuna..." I hear Jungwon murmur and I can only inwardly scoff. 

So what about Yuna? She wasn't my friend. She was just friends with my friends and nothing more. I wouldn't force myself to like her even if you held a gun to my head and blackmailed me. Just shoot me if that's the case. 

"I know you all want me to get along with her but it's not a secret that I don't like her. I'm sure you have all caught on by now" No hint of guilt in my tone "We simply do not click" 

It was probably just me resisting her attempts to be friends but no matter how much she kissed my , I don't care for her at a friend level. Human being? Sure. Friend? Never. 

"Anyways, what do you think about this?" I move onto the next topic and hold up the black ripped jeans along with the beige crop top against my body and they both light up at the scene 

And just like that, Yuna faded into the background.

"So where are you guys going? Your date is tomorrow isn't it?" Ryujin asks curiously as she pokes a fork at her small cake while we sit in the corner of a small bakery. I guess it was natural for our friend group to be nosy as this was a real chance I had with Niki. 

"Yeah it is but I'm not sure where, I was thinking something interactive but knowing Niki he might just take me to watch the same movie ten times so that he wouldn't have to talk to me" I chuckle at the thought because it seemed like the most likely outcome 

"I doubt Niki would do that" Ryujin stuffs a piece of cake into and swallows before continuing "Even though he doesn't like you, he wouldn't be a dickwad... I don't think" Uncertainty lacing her voice as we question the true nature of Nishiruma Riki 

"We'll just have to see when the day comes but I'll call you after the date is over" I tell her with confidence.

"Hey I'm outside" Niki's velvety voice says through the mic of my phone and I hum, telling him that I'll be right down and end the call. The day was finally here for our first time out together alone and of course I didn't have high expectations since he resented me for all the jabs I made at his crush but whatever. At least he didn't protest against my wish. 

I gather my needed things and toss them into my purse before checking once more in the mirror and conclude that I indeed look good enough to be considered on a date no matter if it'll be in a dark room 

Taking my time, I make my way down the elevator and out the doors to see his familiar black car waiting at the entrance. 

"Hey" I greet simply as I get settled into my seat and he takes off as soon as I am seatbelted. We engage in small talk on our way there and when silence falls upon us, I can't help feel a little... Nervous? 

Sure I was always so confident around him but that was because others were watching. More importantly Yuna was watching and now that we were alone, it seemed like I wasn't sure how to conduct myself. 

When we reached the movie theater, it wasn't as busy as I had anticipated and I was a little put off because of that. If there were more people, it would have taken the attention away from the silence between us but unfortunately it had hung above my head right up until we were at the ticket booth 

"What movie would you like to see?" Niki asks while we both carefully review the movies that were screening 

"I like horror movies the best but if you have a different movie in mind then I'm okay with that too" He doesn't reply but instead starts squinting at the list "How about that one?" Pointing to a certain movie title and I smile knowing that he actually listened to my recommendation for a horror movie 

"Yeah sounds good" I say a little excited because I was slightly interested in the particular film more than the others but didn't want to dictate the mood

Once we're in the cinema, we have about forty minutes before the movie actually starts excluding all the ads and when Niki is already silently conflicted about how to waste time, I suggest "Arcade?" 

He tries to maintain his stoic expression but ends up looking like a restrained kid who needs to use the bathroom.
