Chapter 5.   ~~~   Fitful silvery moonlight floods through the windows of Minjeong's bedroom, gently waking her. She looks to the side and sees Jimin curling up next to her. She is still sleeping soundly, her arms stretch out, and she brings her knees up to her chest in a fetal position. She can not wake her for some time, so deeply is she asleep.        Jimin crawls on top of her, straddling Minjeong's waist.    "God, Jimin," Minjeong closes her eyes as Jimin begins placing small kisses on her neck. "I miss you."   Minjeong can't help but shed a happy tear as Jimin kisses her collar bone. Her lips glaze over Minjeong's skin and start kissing down her chest.   "Jimin..." She moans and grabs Jimin's ebony black hair. She pulls her in for a deep kiss.    ~~~   "Help me..." Minjeong whines and turns to the side. Her body feels hot, as if it's on fire.    "What?!" Jimin sits up and looks at Minjeong confusingly.    She studies Minjeong, who curls up in the blanket, and her face is burning red. Jimin hesitantly puts a hand on her forehead. She gasps at the hot temperature touching her fingertips.   "Help me pulls my pants down..." Minjeong mutters with flushed and rosy cheeks.    Jimin just stares at her and gasps in horror. Her heartbeat increases, and she feels paralyzed on the bulky bed.   A strong and bright light peeps from a window to Minjeong's left. It instantly hits her eyes, making her squeeze them shut in annoyance. She sits up and looks around.   Oh right, she is still stuck in the past.   "What did you just say to me?" Jimin shrieks.   "I don't know..." Minjeong tilts her head, confused and worried. "What did I say?"   "You asked me to pull your pants down!!" Jimin scrunches her nose and puts a hand on Minjeong's forehead.    "Are you sick?" She asks timidly.   It has drawn on Minjeong that she might say whatever was in her dream to the terrified 17-years-old Jimin. Blood rushed to Minjeong's face. She blinks and inhales sharply.    Silence coats the room like ash. Jimin squints her eyes as if she is trying to see through Minjeong's bull.   "I didn't..." Minjeong scratches the nape of her neck. She looks to the ceiling, anywhere but Jimin. "I mean... I always talk nonsense in my sleep."    It's getting harder to control herself around Jimin. She wishes that dream never ends. She misses Jimin's supple lips, so full and enticing that her kiss sends lightning throughout Minjeong's body and powers her soul.   But right now, none of it matters. She doesn't want to scare away the young Jimin.    "Did you sleep well?" Minjeong changes the subject.    Jimin frowns and decides not to question Minjeong about her weird outburst. She stretches her shoulders and massages them roughly. "My body aches."   She raises her brows. "What happened last night?"   "Well, we have a sleepover."   "I must have slept on the wrong side. It hurts right here!" Jimin points to her right shoulder and rubs it to release the pain.    Minjeong gulps. That's undoubtedly her fault.    She secretly cuddled with Jimin for the whole night. She rested her head on her shoulder and slept without care. Poor Jimin was so tired that even though she was in an uncomfortable position, she didn't bother to wake up.   Minjeong moves closer and massages Jimin's throbbing muscles. She puts extra pressure on her fingertips. Jimin's skin feels smooth and warm to the touch. She misses this feeling.    Jimin's expression shifts to one of actual confusion and irritation. "S-stop it! It tickles! And your hand..."    Minjeong immediately pulls away. "My bad!"   Jimin has low blood pressure in the morning, so Minjeong's hand must have felt too cold for her.    "Warm lemonade coming right up." Minjeong goes to the door. "Wait here. Maybe my mom has some butter biscuits too!"   Minjeong runs down the stairs and makes Jimin her lemonade. She squeezes the lemonade and puts two spoons of honey in the glass. Then she stirs it satisfactorily.    Minjeong grabs a package of butter biscuits from the top cabinet. She also holds some pain relief patches and brings them upstairs.   Jimin sits there on her bed. She pulls her knees to her chest and leans her chin on it. She looks at Minjeong, who huffs from running frantically everywhere.    Minjeong gives Jimin her drinks and the biscuits. Jimin goes down to the floor cause she doesn't want the biscuit crumbs to fall on Minjeong's bed. Minjeong carefully applies the pain relief patch on Jimin's skin while munches on her snack.   Jimin drinks her lemonade and finishes a biscuit. She wipes with a tissue while Minjeong looks at her adoringly.   Minjeong pats Jimin's hair and smiles. "All better?"   Jimin frowns. "How do you know?"   "Hmm?" Minjeong says with a satisfied purr. She resists the urge to cuddle with Jimin and sleep through the morning.    "That I have low blood pressure." Jimin mumbles.   Minjeong pretends like she didn't hear that. She rubs her cheek against Jimin's and almost kisses her out of habit.    "Did I take good care of you?" Minjeong asks in a husky voice. She wraps her arms around Jimin's neck and watches as Jimin's face begins to flush. "Should you stay with me from now on?"   Fidgeting, Jimin stares at her fingers. Her disbelieving gaze turns to outrage. "Quit messing around! Just because you forced me to have a sleepover doesn't mean we are friends!"   Jimin purses her lips and stands up. "I'm leaving."   Minjeong runs to the door. She blocks it from Jimin. "No! Stay for breakfast too!"   Jimin's stomach grumbles, and she blushes. Minjeong knows that Jimin would never miss out on a good breakfast.    ~~~   Jimin stayed for breakfast, and Minjeong's family welcomed her. Her mom cooked Bibimbap. Jimin finished the whole bowl. She almost asked for a second when Minjeong reminded her that she would order some boba milk tea, so she should save room later.   They are sitting in Minjeong's bedroom. She lets Jimin borrow a cute outfit. She throws a jeans jacket over a statement dress. Somehow Minjeong's clothes fit Jimin well. Then again, Jimin would look good even in a trash bag. There is no way she could be anything less than perfectly put together.   Jimin seems happy with her boba. She slurps it and smiles. "I like the boba here."   She stretches her legs comfortably. Her feet touch Minjeong's thighs, and she pulls them back immediately. Minjeong thinks it's the perfect time to ask Jimin about the party.    "So Jimin.... what are you going to do tonight?"   Jimin shrugs. "I don't know. Skincare. Homework. Work out."   "Work out, huh...?" Minjeong images Jimin doing push-ups with sweat dripping down her abs. She her lips.   "I was thinking..." Minjeong Jimin's knees with her finger. "Since you don't have anything important to do..."   "Nothing important?" Jimin huffs. "I can't miss out on my workout."   "Not even for one day?"   "Nope!"   "You are right. Doing exercises is very important. But going to parties is also important. The dance club is throwing one tonight. We are teenagers! Let loose and have some fun, granny!" Minjeong breaks into laughs.   "Granny?" Jimin shrieks. She darts a cold look at Minjeong. "What's so fun about this party anyway?"   I want us to get drunk and kiss. Minjeong holds herself from telling the apparent truth.   Minjeong shrugs and smiles smugly. "I'll tell you what, if you come to the party, I'll do whatever you want for the next week!"   "Even leaving me alone?" Jimin inches closer, and their face are about a haft feet apart.   Minjeong gulps. "Y-yes."   Anything except that.   "Hmm, you just want to see Shin Ryujin!" Jimin snaps her finger as if she is so sure of herself.   It's a little weird that Jimin assumes Minjeong cares about anyone other than her.   "She is cool. I think we can be friends." Minjeong says. "But honestly, I'll only go if you go!"   Jimin stares straight into her bright eyes, searching for the lies. When she sees that Minjeong is completely honest, she nods, grunts, and turns away. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to try..."   Minjeong squeals in excitement as though it is a foregone conclusion that Jimin and her will kiss tonight.    "Yessssss. Thank god!!!" She pumps her fists up.   Jimin gives a small smile, a genuine one she rarely bestows on others. But just when Minjeong catches her smiling, she arranges her feature in a scowl.   "The party better not !"    ~~~   The party does not disappoint Minjeong. The music blasts loudly from even miles away. Songs are from the 2017 kpop hot l

Chapter 9: I mean it's clear that Jimin likes Minjeong in this past timeline but is too stubborn to act on it, but I honestly think Wonyoung is right about their present relationship, Minjeong never entirely accepted Jimin at her lowest and always wanted her to change, but Jimin never did, which is kind of how we got here. Minjeong doesn't want their relationship to be built out of grief and heartache, so she went back in time to try and fix it and make it better, instead of trying to mend it in the present. And I guess, it's working? I mean, we still don't know how this is affecting the present, so maybe it's not, but I want to hope for the best.

Chapter 5: I can’t help but feel a little weird about Minjeong’s intentions and actions here. She knowingly and intentionally got Jimin, who is still 17 years old, drunk so she can take advantage and kiss her. It would be less weird if this is the doing of 16 year old Minjeong but this Minjeong has the mind of a 25 year old, and she’s supposed to be the grown up in their dynamic. I think Minjeong is just forcing herself too hard on Jimin. They’re both stubborn and I hope they can figure themselves out.
