[3 weeks later]
“Sorry Soph, I want to stay here but I just couldn’t miss out on the opportunity.” Mia said, packing her clothes
“Hey! It’s fine. I’m happy you landed the job of your dreams and I mean hello, free food for you living with your parents again”
“Yeah, I guess that’s one way of putting it. They might give me a curfew but at least I have no rent and unlimited food” Mia said
“And all your favourite foods in the fridge and pantry” Eunhyuk added
“You’re just jealous because mom didn’t make your strawberry shortcake last time” Mia said to her brother
“Oh yeah… totally jealous,” he replied, rolling his eyes. Sophie laughed and helped Mia with packing the last of her things. “I still can’t believe you’re moving out” Sophie said
“I can always come back to bother you so keep this room vacant for me.”
“Sure,” Sophie replied, smiling.

After helping Mia transfer all the boxes and bags in her car, the three went on to have dinner at the Japanese place she had dinner last time. Mia was telling her about the job that she got and how she reconnected with some of her friends from home. “They’re planning on getting together next week. Mom invited the whole block for a barbecue for her supposed 4th of July party but now it’s going to be my homecoming party instead” she said, shaking her head.
“What did dad say?” Eunhyuk asked, grinning
“What do you think he said? You know dad…”
“... Just do whatever your mom says and we’ll all be out of trouble” the siblings said in unison
“What?” Sophie asked, smiling
“Just say yes to avoid conflict. He doesn’t want to argue and plus it saves him all the effort of just trying to win an argument with mom.” Eunhyuk explained. Mia just nodded and agreed.
“Mom wanted me to invite you both. You can just bring the rest of my stuff with you” she then said
“I’ll ask Gawain if he can cover for me for a few days.” Sophie said
“Great. You need a vacation too, Soph. Heck, ask for a week off. There’s this amazing beach about 2 hours away from home, we can spend a night there and just camp out. I want to have some fun with you before I start work.” Mia said, excitement in her eyes
“I can’t make promises, Mia but I’ll try” she said, letting out a small sigh
“You better ask for a week off too” she said to her brother “You’re driving me and Sophie around and I mean camping wouldn’t be fun without a grill master” she added, grinning
“Fine” he surrendered.

The three finally start eating and enjoying their meal. They even got a few bottles of sake to celebrate. After a few bottles, Sophie was hitting her limit. She was resting her head on her hand, trying to stay upright and awake. Mia was knocked out and Eunhyuk was finishing off the last sake they ordered. “I think we should call it a night” he said, calling the waiter for their bill while helping her sister with her jacket. The restaurant was just a few blocks away but with a knocked out Mia and a dizzy Sophie, Eunhyuk called for a cab instead.

The ride home was loud. Mia decided to wake up from her sleep and just sing random songs while Sophie tried to shut her up by shouting. “I’m sorry, they just… yeah” Eunhyuk said to the driver. Now getting home was one thing, getting inside the house is another feat; he had to guide both by the door which is not big enough for the three of them.
“Sophie, sweetheart. I’ll be right back. I’ll carry Mia to her room, okay? Stay here” he said, letting Sophie sit beside the front door. After carrying Mia to her room, he rushes back for Sophie. She was already asleep, leaning on the wall
“Come on, Soph. Time to go inside” he said, lifting her up and carrying her bridal style. He set her on the bed, removed her shoes, socks and coat then tucked her to bed. While removing loose hair from her face, he leaned closer, smiled and said in a soft voice “I think I already found the love of my life too, Soph… ” He then planted a kiss on her forehead before saying “thanks for letting me find you”. He closed the door very quietly before going to his room.

“My head” Mia groaned, her head on the table
“That’s what you get for not pacing your alcohol intake, young lady” Eunhyuk said, placing a cup of coffee beside Mia’s head
“I don’t want to hear your lectures right now, please,” she replied, taking a sip of coffee. She wrinkled her face from the strong taste “How many scoops did you put in this coffee? It’s too freakin strong” she added
“Good. For you to get out of your hangover” he replied, drinking his own coffee. Silence surrounded them for a minute, Mia was looking at her brother, trying to figure something out.
“What is it, Mia?” he asked
“Tell me something… I saw you last night… I think, and you were beside Sophie’s bed. I’m not entirely sure what you said but you kissed her on the head” she said, taking another sip of her coffee
