—Alliana wakes up in the middle of the night and notices Allister is by her side.

Alliana’s POV

It’s cold.

My eyelids feel heavy and I can feel parts of my body ache. But other than that, I had a good sleep.

I slowly open my eyes and adjust to the minimal light from the window. I glanced at the clock by my bedside table, it read 11:09pm.

It’s still early. How long was I asleep?

The room is dark. Allister is not working by her drafting table. She’s done early…

I tried moving my arm and felt something.

I looked downwards and saw a figure; it was Allister sitting on the floor beside my bed while her head rested on her left arm on my mattress.

She was facing my way, her face looking so serene.

I can feel my brows furrow. Hindi ba siya nahihirapan sa pwesto niya?

Why is she here in the first place?

I studied her position. My hand is loosely holding her wrist.

Did I unconsciously do this earlier?

I guess I was having bad dreams again...

I heaved a sigh and turned my body to the side para maigalaw ang katawan ko. I let go of Allister’s arm and hugged a small pillow to support my body as I looked at her.

This girl...is a lot of things.

But one thing’s for sure, she’s a good one.

She’s annoying sometimes, but she’s good to me.

Lumabas na naman ang pagiging attentive niya. She never asked a thing earlier when I got home from my brunch out with mom but she was quick to notice that I wasn’t up for anything other than to be left alone and rest.
