Yujin Pov:

- Hey, Unnie...what happened? Why are you sleeping on the living room’s floor? – Elkie said looking at me like I was crazy

- Morning, Tingy. Just fell asleep. Going to the bedroom now.

- You don’t seem fine…wanna talk?

I looked at her with sad eyes and discussed with myself if I should say something

- There is just me and you here, Jinnie unnie and I have some time till’ manager oppa comes to pick me up for my drama recording. Talk to me. What happened? Is it Minhyuk oppa? Yesterday when you left late at night, I thought you were staying the night at Oppa’s. What’s wrong?

I just had so much at my back and hadn’t realized that until I was crying out of nowhere after TingYan made me that question.

- Hey,yujinniie…it seems like you have too much on your back huh? – said Elkie while hugging me and patting my back to calm me down

- I’ve broken up with Minhyuk – I said while we were hugging, all of a sudden she stopped patting me, and…. – WHAT??? Why? Okay…I didn’t see this coming. Why have you done this?

- It’s impossible that you haven’t seen the dating scandals, Tingy! We were for sure on the line. People were gonna start to dig in and definitely discover us…I can’t do this to you guys, we are not that established in the music industry yet and I can’t do this to him and his group. I had to!

She looked at me apologetically and worried

- I’m so sorry for this, unnie. Hey, wanna go to shooting with me? I only have two scenes today for the drama, so we can hang out after. Please say yes! I don’t wanna leave you alone like this

- There’s no need, Tingyan. I’ll be okay

- C’mon, unnie. I won’t be able to focus, thinking that you are here suffering all alone. – she looked at me with those doggy eyes, arghhh, I just can’t say no to her.

Minhyuk Pov:

- Good Morning. Have you guys seen Minhyuk Hyung? I thought he said he would be spending the whole week at the dorm with us – Sungjae was pouting to Ilhoon because he expected to play a little with his Hyung today and he was nowhere to be seen

After a couple of minutes, a really puffy-eyed and tired Minhyuk Hyung was walking in

- WOW. What did Yujinnie do to you yesterday huh? You look exhausted – Hyunsik said while mocking his friend and laughing with Ilhoon and Peniel

- She broke up with me. That’s what she did. Now I’m going to bed

Minhyuk passed by his astonished members and ran to his room. They didn’t live in the dorm anymore but they decided to spend the week at their old dorm to work on some music and be together since Eukwang and Changsub were going to have a 2-day off from the military and they were planning to spend it together. But that whole Yujin situation happened and he couldn’t think of doing anything that required him to get off of his bed for a least a month.

- Hey, Hyung, we didn’t mean to hurt you.- said Hyunsik and the boys entering the room - What happened. Weren’t you guys okay? Last time I checked you were being clingy and stupid as you two normally are. So how did it come to this?

- Last night she called me and asked me to go to the company. When I arrived she said that we had to break up. The cube dating scandals that are popping out this week freaked her out. She feared for CLC and us. That’s why we broke up

- I can’t believe you and Gwiyomi broke up. But you should understand her reasons, she did it because she loves you and her members so much – said Ilhoon while patting my back – you guys can still be friends!

- I will try. But I love her too much to only be friends. To be honest, I actually wanted to come public with our relationship, it’s not like we are doing something wrong and I want to have a more normal relationship but I know it’s selfish of me to think that way, but still…

- Hyung, look if you guys are really meant to be, one day you’ll reunite as a couple and everything will work out.  – said Sungjae

- Now let’s eat something at the new restaurant down the street, Taehyun said it was nice! My treat – Ilhoon said trying to hype me up

- And the meats and beers for our bbk with the guys tomorrow are on me! Don’t need to worry about it, Hyung – Said Peniel

- Ok! Thank you for being by my side, fam.

 

Yujin Pov:

- Have I taken too long, unnie? – Elkie was walking in her dressing room, where I waited for her while playing on my phone for an hour.

- NO, don’t worry about it. It really helped not to think much about what happened. I was playing and watching you act so the time went smoothly – I said while eye-smiling my friend.

- Perfect then, let’s go eat now, unnie? We can even do something shopping after

- Cool!!! Where are we going?

- What do you think about that new restaurant near the company? Tzuyu said it’s pretty reserved and they have a “celebrity space” so we can stay comfortable there. If you want, we can even invite her and some of the girl staff that you like to come with us.

- Wow!! I would like that! Thanks for being with me today, Ting-ah! I will never forget it

- Stop that you are gonna make me cry :(  Let’s get going and call the girls. I will text Tzuyu, I’m sure she wants to go!

Minhyuk Pov:

- This place is nice huh? Prepare your pockets, Ilhoonie because I’m going to eat a loot – said Hyunsik

Right when we were entering the restaurant an employee just came and took us to a table

- table for five, right? Would you prefer the reserved celebrity tables or the standard ones?

- the reserved, please – Ilhoon said when he noticed that some clients were starting to notice us from their tables

- okay. Please follow me. There are only a group of people there right now, so you can stay comfortable.

At the moment we entered the room, I heard it.

The laugh that used to lighten up my whole life but right now only makes me miss her.

It was her…It was definitely her! I looked for where the sound was coming from and then I saw her. Puffy and tired eyes but that still carried the most beautiful eye-smile. She was sitting at a corner big table with a sofa with 5 other women that later I discovered were Elkie, Twice Tzuyu, and 3 staff from Elkie’s new drama and was laughing about something one of her friends said. She had her hair loosened with little waves, a leather jacket that made her look the most badass woman in the world, a black shirt, jeans shorts, and boots. SHE WAS MESMERIZING and I’m pretty sure that I won’t be able to keep myself as only her friend.

By the time we get into the room, she looks up, still smiling, but her smile suddenly starts to fade away when she notices me getting in the room, she shows a concerned look and I remember immediately of my “after crying “ – more like after having a breakdown – face and how tired I must be looking. All of her friends turn to see who is coming too and Elkie seems to be aware of the whole situation because she instantly pulls Yujin back into the conversation and starts to whisper in Yujin’s ear.

My members and I were seated at the farthest table of them that we could just push the awkwardness away

- Hey, Minyukie. Let’s eat somewhere else, huh? We came here to help you think about something else but your ex-girlfriend is sitting just across the room. Let’s go – proposed Peniel

- No. It’s okay. She can’t have this effect on me anymore. Let’s stay here, eat and go home.

- Are you really fine with this, Hyung? What if they come here to greet us? Because I highly doubt that those girls, other than Tingyan, knows what happened, so I assume they have to keep the sunbaenim-hoobae act. – Sungjae was looking at me looking very concerned about my feelings and I was grateful for that

- I’m okay. Let them come. Aren’t they our friends? C’mon Ilhoon, Yujin is your best friend since trainee years, I don't want you two to stop talking because of me. Let’s keep this as friendly as possible

-  Okay, then. I actually didn’t want to go because I really wanna eat here Hihi – Said Hyunsik eye-smiling me and I just could laugh at my friend cute-straightforward reply

We ordered and started talking, eating, and mocking each other, it was so fun and refreshing that I almost forgot that the love of my life was just some tables away from me. Until Yujin and her group got close to greet us since we were their sunbaenims. Elkie leads the greetings.

- Annyeong, Oppas. Sorry, we didn’t come to greet you early. Heard Changsub Oppa and Eunkwang Oppa are visiting later. – greeted Elkie with a polite smile, shyly holding Yujin’s hand and putting her by Ilhoon’s side, the opposite of mine.

- Hey, Ting! Yes, they are coming today and we are passing some time together at the dorm to receive them all together. – Said Ilhoon giving a smile to them

- Hope you guys have fun together! Goodbye, Oppas, we are going first. – She said while bowing and then the other girls bowed too. I just couldn’t stop looking at Yujin, she looks so beautiful and there but yet so distant. That wasn’t my bubbly and all-day smiling Yujin, and I couldn’t stop thinking all of that was my fault. I asked her to be my girlfriend 3 years ago, despite her saying it was dangerous because of her debut and I’ve fallen completely in love with her. If that didn’t happen, we both could be really fine today. It’s all my fault.

As I was immersed in my thoughts, the girls were getting up from their quick yet polite bow and our eyes met. She looked at me. I looked at her. And she mumbled a little sorry for me. Then she was gone and I knew,

That I won’t be able to keep as her friend not even if a tried because I still was and will always be madly in love with her.

Yujin Pov:

After all the girls go back to their cars and after Tzuyu’s manager came to pick her up, me and Elkie decided to walk a little and maybe go shopping.

- How are you? – she asked

- Honestly? I don’t think I was prepared to see him again and it made me realize that I can’t stay close to him, at least not right now. He still lives too strong in me and I love him so much. So yeah, I’m not okay. But everything will be okay

- I will, Unnie, It will. But look, I hope you guys can still count on each other in the future because you care for him and he for you. So don’t blind your eyes too much, okay?

- For sure. I hope me and him can still count on each other again someday, Tingy! Let’s see, maybe again the future right? – I looked down at my phone for a little bit and was shoved with tons of messages from Hui, Wooseok, Changgu, GIdle members, and my members asking me literally WTF and if I had really broken up because Ilhoon told someone and that person said to another person and now most cube artists know - Now let’s go because apparently the whole company already knows about my break up and Seungyeon is demanding an explanation in the group chat and I’m gonna literally kill Ilhoonie Oppa.

And we left, going home with me thinking if it would be someday possible for me and Minhyuk Oppa to be friends again. Little did I know.
