Sunlight streams through the spaces between the curtains, illuminating dancing dust motes in its pale morning light, gradually bathing the quiet bedroom in warmth. It spreads over the floorboards, inching its way up the bed where two figures lie tucked together, warming their exposed cheeks while gently coaxing them awake to face the day.

Well, one of them anyway.

Jennie stirs as the light brightens behind her closed lids, too insistent to ignore any longer. Blinking awake, she rolls over to face her still stubbornly sleeping partner, smiling faintly at the sight.

Chaeyoung has the tiniest crease in her brow as the sun hits her face full-force now that Jennie’s head is no longer blocking the majority of it. Jennie watches with amusement as Chaeyoung’s nose crinkles with distaste as she groans, rolling to her stomach to hide her face in her pillow. Chuckling, Jennie reaches over and runs a hand down the smooth expanse between her shoulder blades, drumming her fingers playfully down her spine. Chaeyoung squirms away, emitting a low whine that might be more compelling if it weren't muffled by the pillow.

"C’mon, time to get up." Jennie murmurs, tapping her fingers incessantly up and down Chaeyoung’s back. The younger untucks one hand from beneath her pillow to swat at Jennie blindly and the brunette laughs.

"Don’t make me pull the covers off the bed again."
