Ryosuke woke up to the subtle sound of the birds chirping outside. The window was left open just slightly, letting the crisp morning breeze flow into the living room.
Slowly, he lifted his eyelids then placed an arm over them to shield himself from the bright sunlight that shined through the large windows.
'It's morning already?'
In an attempt to obtain a better visual of his surroundings, Ryosuke tilted his head to the left but wasn't expecting to see a familiar girl sleeping right next to him. Surprised at close their bodies were to each other, he immediately sat up and pushed himself back half a meter to put some space between them.
Before he could question anything, his gaze landed on a folded towel close to where he was laying just minutes before. Next to Rio was also a small bucket of water. After putting the pieces together, it didn't take him long to realize that Rio had fallen asleep tending to a fever that he had.
Ryosuke sighed as the memories of last night came flowing back through his mind. He ran his fingers through his hair before shaking his head in embarrassment. "I really said all that..." He mumbled softly to himself as he glanced at Rio's peaceful sleeping expression.
As the seconds passed by, he somehow found himself staring at Rio for longer than he had expected to. Not only that, but Ryosuke suddenly felt the need to repay her back for taking care of him the night before.
Leaning over, he placed his own blanket over the girl before hoisting himself up using the nearby sofa. Luckily for him, Rio had placed his crutches right next to it so it was easy for him to grab them.
Ryosuke took his time as he made his way over to the restroom to first wash up. After wiping his face with a damp towel, he placed both of his hands on the edges of the sink and stared at his bare chest in the mirror. His bruises were slowly beginning to fade but a couple of stitches still remained on his arm and chest. "Don't think about them, Ryosuke." he reassured himself.
After throwing on the shirt that he left in the restroom last night, Ryosuke made his way over to the kitchen and began quietly rummaging through the fridge to find ingredients for breakfast.
'Did Daiki and Amu buy the entire store?' He thought to himself, astounded by the packed fridge. He took a deep breath, letting the air inflate his chest before letting it sink back in with an exhale.
"This is going to take a while..." Ryosuke mumbled to himself, leaning over to grab the first ingredient.
--
A subtle sound from the kitchen was enough to make Rio shift in her position. She pulled the blanket closer to her chin before realizing her own actions a brief moment later. '
A blanket?' She thought to herself, opening her eyes in confusion. An aromatic scent began to fill the air and Rio sat up immediately to take in her surroundings. It wasn't until she heard another noise coming from the kitchen that caught her attention.
Rio's apartment unit had a semi-open concept so it wasn't difficult for her to notice the cause. It also didn't take Ryosuke long to realize that the girl had also woken up.
"About time." Ryosuke greeted, letting his shoulders drop in exhaustion. "Cooking without trying to make any noise isn't actually the easiest thing to do, even with two working legs."
Rio raised an eyebrow and glanced at the crutches that the boy set aside. However, just before she could voice her concerned opinion, Ryosuke spoke up again. "Before you start to throw a fit, just know that I'm sitting on your bar chair."
"I don't throw a fit..." Rio pouted, hoisting herself to her feet and stretching her arms out in the process.
"Well, it didn't seem that way yesterday..." Ryosuke replied, pausing to glance at her. "Thank you by the way... for that."
"Oh." The girl replied, taken back by his sudden kindness. "It's my job so..." She explained, shrugging at him.
Seeing that Ryosuke was perfectly fine on his own, Rio decided to hop into the restroom to wash up. After closing the door behind her, she took a moment to recollect the events that happened in this exact room.
Rio glanced down at her shirt and noticed that it had completely dried by now. She could even remember how close in proximity she was to the person that she practically consider her 'nemesis' and the words that he uttered last night:
'Why does it have to be me?' 'What did I do to deserve this?'
It was the first time Ryosuke had been so open to her and Rio couldn't help but wonder if he even remembers.
Pushing her thoughts to the side, Rio proceeded to wash up. When she emerged from the restroom, she made her way back to the kitchen in hopes of trying to make breakfast for herself but was confused to see another plate of food directly opposite to where Ryosuke was sitting.
"Are you expecting anyone?" She asked, approaching the table to take a closer look at the dish the boy had prepared.
"At what? 8 in the morning? I'm not crazy, Rio." Ryosuke answered then paused in hesitation. "It's for you."
Rio widened her eyes at the dish which seemed worthy enough to even be served in a restaurant. After examining it closely, she raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "You must've poisoned this."
"If I wanted to poison you, I would've just toasted a slice of bread." He assured her but Rio didn't seem to believe his words.
Ryosuke sighed at Rio's skeptical glare. He reached over for her plate and swapped it with his, even letting her have the cut strawberries that he had originally prepared for himself. "There, better?"
Almost immediately after he switched their plates, Rio pulled her chair out and sat in it. "Thanks for the food!" She cheered excitedly, placing her hands together in a polite gesture before diving in to take the first bite.
Ryosuke watched as Rio's eyes lit up in amazement. Seeing her bright expression was enough to curve the edges of his lips into a smile. However, not wanting her to see it, he adverted his gaze and firmed his lips as he dangled his fork above his plate in amusement.
Back in his own apartment, he would usually be the one cooking for his girlfriend. However, Satoko never once reacted the way Rio did, even if he spent the entire day making one of his best dishes. At times, he even felt that perhaps cooking wasn't something he was good at. Yet seeing Rio enjoy the breakfast that he put together was enough to put all of his doubts to rest.
"Is it really that good?" Ryosuke asked in curiosity, "Your eyes seem to widen every time you take a bite."
Rio nodded. "If you weren't an idol, you could definitely pass for a chef."
The two didn't say another word to each other as they continued on eating. And for the first time ever, things didn't seem awkward between them. Instead, it seemed rather peaceful with the morning sun shining through the room and the birds chirping near the window.
However, this peaceful state didn't last long when Rio's mobile phone suddenly chimed towards the end of their meal. Curious as to who the message came from, the girl reached for her phone and glanced at the screen.
'Morning, Rio! I'm figuring that you most likely need a break already so what do you think about hanging out with me for a few hours today? It's sunny out.'
Rio smiled at the message that Yuto sent her but as soon as she caught Ryosuke's suspicious gaze, she placed her phone faced down on the table and proceeded to finish the rest of her food.
"Let me guess, your boyfriend?" Ryosuke asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No, it was Yuto who messaged me."
"Did you not hear my question correctly?"
"We're not dating..."
"Well, it didn't seem like it back at the hospital." Ryosuke retorted, thinking back to when his friend placed an arm around her.
The girl tilted her head and narrowed her eyes. "Why do you sound so upset? Don't tell me you were expecting me to babysit you the entire day."
"I never said any of that." The boy replied back, this time in a much more stern voice. "... and based on what you said, I'm assuming you're going on a date with him today?"
"For the thousandth time, It's not a date because he's not my boyfriend." Rio argued back, sighing in frustration at the end of her sentence. "I wasn't originally planning to hang out with him but now that we've had this conversation, I think I will because I don't think I can last a full day under the same roof as you."
"Good, because I don't think I can stand being with you either."
"Fine."
"Fine!"
Rio grabbed her empty plate and stood up, pushing her chair back with her legs. With any angry expression written all over her face, she grabbed her phone, placed her plate in the sink, then rushed into her room to get ready.
As soon as Ryosuke heard Rio's bedroom door slam shut, he threw his fork on the plate and then covered his face with his two hands. "Get a hold of yourself, Ryosuke." He muttered to himself in frustration. As he calmed down, he dropped his hands and stared at the seat that Rio was sitting in not too long ago.
'What is this feeling of jealously?'

"We would like to actually get you started next week. Although JUMP is on hiatus, a couple of members will still be continuing their own solo work. Your work laptop is actually in their dressing room. Let me show you to it so you can prepare anything if needed."
Amu was taken back at how she was offered the job this quickly. She knew that having Daiki's referral would make a huge difference but she wasn't expecting to pass the background and get hired on the same day.
After her new boss showed her to JUMP's dressing room, Amu thanked him with a quick bow. Seeing that the girl could manage on her own, he decided to leave the room to let her get accustomed to everything at her own pace.
Amu opened her laptop and began to familiarize herself with JUMP's schedule. She took the time to go through each scheduled event before confirming which outfits were already set and which she had to place an order for. The girl was so absorbed in her work that she didn't even notice that someone had walked into the room.
"Amu-chan?"
As soon as Amu recognized the familiar voice, she turned around and noticed Chinen entering the room.
"Chii!"
"What brings you here today?" The boy asked, making his way over to the Amu. Chinen was elated to see the girl that he had spent so many nights thinking about but at the same time, he was confused as to how
